Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful long weekend. It was the perfect couple of days of beautiful weather and relaxation, the best way to start off September. We still can’t believe that we’re already into September, but excited for everything to come.

Starting off September with an awesome How To’s Day! There are still a few weeks left of Summer, so this week’s How To’s Day is perfect for soaking up those last couple of days of warm weather and greenery. Today we are featuring our Insulated Lunch Hamper Tutorial on the blog, a stylish and practical bag that would be fantastic for a last Summer picnic or beach day. But even as fall and winter rolls around, our Insulated Lunch Hamper can be used to keep all your hot food and drinks warm. Here’s to fun days in the snow, followed by delicious hot cocoa!

Our Insulated Lunch Hamper is insulated with our Spacetex, so it’s great for storing both hot and cold items. As well, the nylon is water-resistant so you can easily wipe away any condensation with a cloth. There are also three inner compartments, so there’s extra storage to organize your goodies. We used our Mint Condition by Jackie McFee Collection, which we think looks super pretty and fresh with the crisp mint and grey designs. No more lugging around heavy picnic baskets or boring coolers – take our Insulated Lunch Hamper on your next romantic park picnic or kid’s hockey match, and you’ll be equally organized and trendy!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a terrific day so far. It’s the last day to enter our Petite Plume Giveaway. Be sure to enter if you haven’t yet, so you could get your hands on this gorgeous fabric collection. You can enter HERE.

Time to share another awesome project with you all! For this week’s How To’s Day, we are featuring our effortlessly cozy Simple Stripes Baby Blanket! Our Simple Stripes Baby Blanket is the perfect project for those who may be intimidated by quilting because the result is a beautiful patchwork design. This baby blanket is modern and chic with its, as the name suggests, simple striped pattern – you can choose to create a fun ombre effect with bold solids or perhaps tell a story using some novelty fabrics…the possibilities are infinite.

We chose to use our Playground Collection, which adds a whimsical and “playful” feel to the blanket. With its fun numbers, balloons, and playground attractions, this Playground baby blanket is perfect for any little nugget who loves adventure! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday everyone!! We hope you all had a fantastic week. We can’t believe we are entering the last week of August, but August has been a really great one for us. Excited for what’s to come for September! Also, if you haven’t entered our Petite Plume Giveaway yet, you can do so HERE. We’re excited to hear which of our Summer 2014 Collections is your favorite.

Time to end another wonderful week with our Fan Friday! We have happily been seeing our Endearing Elephants around the interwebs, and are just SO glad that everyone is loving the patterns…and sharing them with us! Thank you, Sweetbriar Sisters, for the adorable elephant patterns…we are obsessed!! When we saw Paula’s elephants, we honestly squealed with delight because of their cuteness. What made things even more adorable was the fact that, on the same blog page, was a picture of her newborn granddaughter (so precious!!). Paula shared her versions of our Endearing Elephants with us, and we just had to share!

Paula’s blog, Sew Stuff by Paula, is a place where she can share her sewing and quilting adventures. She sewed for her children when they were growing up, sewing most of their clothing pieces when they were little. She made dance costumes, diaper bags, burp cloths, blankets, quilts, and a few little matching dresses for them. She took a little break from sewing when her children entered their late teens, but is now doing the same for her grandchildren. Her blog is all about fabric, her quilt creations, her other projects, and her family. It’s such a warm and pretty place to visit. She also has an Etsy Shop, where she sells her handmade, sewing projects – purses, bibs, quilts, and more! There may even be some little guys we recognize ;) Paula used the sweetest fabric choices for her little elephants, and we really adore them!

Thank you so much, Paula, for sharing your little elephants with us. We are SO happy that you love them as much as we do. You can also check out Paula’s blog, Facebook, Instagram, and Etsy Shop for more. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope you’re all having a great day so far. If you didn’t see yesterday’s post, we are giving away our Petite Plume FQ Bundle on our Facebook Page this week. Head on over there to let us know which of our Summer 2014 Collections is your favorite, so a chance to win Petite Plume.

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are taking the time to thank one of our wonderful project designers, Jen of Tie Dye Diva! Jen didn’t start off her career path in the sewing patterns world, but has always had a love for crafting and sewing. Jen was working a 12-hour desk job before realizing she wanted to do something of her true passion. In 2007, she started to create downloadable sewing patterns that were easy-to-follow and fun…and she was able to turn her passion into a business!

Jen is now a designer of sewing patterns, focusing on classing clothing designs for babies and kids. There is also a good mix in difficulty level, from patterns for a beginner sewer to an advanced seamstress. Jen has a wonderful library of sewing patterns, from adorable little girl dresses, to little boy pants, to cute plushies, and more. Her patterns have also been featured in several publications, such as Sewn Hats by Carla Hegeman Crim and Stash Books’ Hat Shop: 25 Projects to Sew, from Practical to Fascinating (Design Collective) , compiled by Susanne Woods, and is a workshop instructor at Craftsy.

Jen’s sewing patterns can be found on her Etsy Shop, as well as on her website. We got into contact with Jen after Spring Quilt Market, and had the absolute pleasure of partnering with her on a sewing pattern project. I LOVE ruffles and bows, so Jen created the most *adorable* Tunic Dress and Bloomers Play Set…featuring, yes you guessed it, ruffles AND bows. LOVE!! They are the absolute cutest things ever, and look even more sweet with our Petite Plume Collection. We are so in love with this play set! How adorable would a little tot look in this? *Swoon*

You can get the full patterns for our Teeny Tiny Play Set HERE and HERE. This pattern is available as a free project from our Free Projects Program. We want to say a HUGE thank you to Jen for the incredible partnership, and of course for the sweetest of play sets! We cannot wait for what’s to come in the near future, so stay tuned! Be sure to check out Jen’s sewing patterns on her Etsy Shop and website, as well as her Facebook, Twitter, blog, and Craftsy Pages. Have a wonderful day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope you all having a fabulous day so far. We cannot believe that there are only two more weeks till September…is it time to start taking out the fall coats and boots yet? We’re excited for what’s to come in Autumn, but hoping we’ll get a few more hot-weather days! :)

It’s time for this week’s How To’s Day! And boy, oh, boy are we excited to share our newest friend with you all. We got so many amazing responses on our Endearing Elephants and Roonie the Raccoon, we just had to bring a new guy to the clan! Today we are sharing our Wallace the Whale tutorial on the blog, our adorable and friendly whale plushie who just makes our hearts swoon. Wallace is a larger sized plush animal, so he is perfect as a cuddly pillow and toy for your little nuggets. He would look so sweet in an “under the sea” themed kid’s bedroom or nursery – both decorative and super huggable!

Who says that toys have to be primary colors and an eyesore? We love that Wallace the Whale can be made with the most stylish of fabrics – we love the fun prints we used from our Design Studio Collection. Wallace is looking quite dashing, if you ask us! :)
