Happy Wednesday!! It’s been a scorcher outside these past couple of days, and today is no exception. We are getting a heat wave of 31° C (feels like 41) this week…bring on the AC and frozen yogurt (yum!). It’s also the Fourth of July on Friday, and we shared our last minute gift ideas with you last week. Be sure to check out the post HERE! :)

Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Let’s start off this week on a positive note! And in keeping with that theme, the weather seems to be cooperating with us today. We are supposed to be getting up to 23°C in temperature – definitely no complaining here! :)

Let’s start off the week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with a pretty and springtime appropriate collection, our Theodore & Izzy Collection by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio. Theodore & Izzy is a very girly and feminine collection, decorated with lovely pastel florals, bees, and honey bears. This collection is sweet and gentle, perfect for a newborn’s nursery – imagine a matching crib comforter, bed skirt, rail protector, and curtains with Theodore & Izzy in a honey themed room! Complete the room with a couple of bear plush friends, a friendly bee mobile, & a cozy baby quilt and it will be the sweetest room for any little honey bear to grow up in :) This collection reminds us of all the things we are especially looking forward to in Spring such as walks to the park, weekend picnics, and tea parties!

And keeping in theme with all things pretty and sweet (in every best way!), celebrations are coming up too! Recently, Martha Stewart posted some Passover recipes, and for dessert no less (our favorite!). We cannot wait to try the chocolate cake with espresso glaze and matzo s’mores – um, yum!! She has also got you covered with her Passover entertaining tips. For Easter, she has shared some egg-cellent ideas on everything egg-related, from decorating hard-boiled eggs to egg recipes. Happy Monday everyone! We hope you have all had a fantastic and relaxing weekend. In the midst of this cold weather, we are trying to think positive that warmer weather is near. Happy Thursday! And Happy First of Spring everyone!! Spring is the season of renewal, so we are excited for fresh starts and new challenges. We really love this Spring To-Do List from The Glitter Guide – lots of Spring inspiration. As well, we are giving away a Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham FQB on our Facebook page this week. Let’s begin the new season with our Thankful Thursday . We have been partnering with many incredibly talented quilt designers to create exclusive quilt designs for our Free Projects Program! Have you seen all the pretty quilt designs yet? If not, be sure to check them out here. One quilt designer we had the privilege to partner with is Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs, so today we are taking time to thank the lovely Chris!

Chris Hoover started quilting over 24 years ago, a hobby that very quickly became a new passion. A mix of both traditional and more modern quilt designs, Chris’ designs are very much influenced by the fabric collections she uses, and sees inspiration for her quilt designs from architecture and nature! Chris started Whirligig Designs about 10 years ago when she started quilt designing, a company that has quickly gained success for her trustworthy, concise, and wonderful quilt patterns.

We had the privilege of partnering with Whirligig Designs, and Chris designed two stunning quilts for us. The first is Framed using our Nightfall Collection, a simple yet eclectic quilt design that perfectly showcases our black and gold collection – soso beautiful!!

The second is Box Trot using our Let’s Go by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio Collection. This quilt design is a very clean-looking quilt with an almost gradation effect of color – very modern and lovely!

We adore Chris’ quilt design and style, and absolutely love the quilt designs she created for us – Thank you so much, Chris!!
