We had the lovely opportunity of working with Stephanie on a couple of quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program. Stephanie created three modern, whimsical quilt designs for us and we adore them all! They all embrace the esthetic that is Camelot Fabrics and showcases our fun fabric collections wonderfully. The first is a beautiful quilted pillow pattern called High Tide – a pillow design of diagonal pieces that create interesting triangle and trapezoid shapes. It’s a great pillow for showing a multitude of patterns, such as our London Fog Collection, in a cool way.

The second pattern is a stunning quilt design called Summer on the Sound, a pattern of pretty starbursts. We adore how it looks with our It’s a Bird’s Life by Heather Rosas Collection, focusing on the beautiful pinks and greens while keeping the rest neutral. Saybrook Island is another quilt pillow that creates a gorgeous, symmetrical  “leaf like” pattern – we think it looks perfect with our Mint Condition by Jackie McFee Collection! [CLICK TO SEE MORE]

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! And, Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends! We wish you all a wonderful day filled with lots of love, family time, and delicious food. Because today is our weekly Thankful Thursday, we thought it would be the perfect time to share what we are most thankful for…

We are so thankful for our wonderful and supportive families – thank you for loving us unconditionally and for always being there for us, especially when we need it most. We are so thankful for our incredible friends and significant others – we will forever cherish all the fun, crazy, special, and laughing-till-our-bellies-hurt times; you are our chosen family. We are so thankful for the place in which we proudly call our home, with all the necessities to live comfortably, happily, and safely. We are so thankful that we get to do what we love everyday, in a place where we are encouraged to be creative and inspired (and of course, play with lots of pretty colors and fabric ;)).

We are so thankful for our talented artists – Vita, Allison, Jackie, Heather, Andrea, Jane, and Alisse – so much inspiration, creativity, and awesome-ness. We are so thankful for all the fantastic people that we have gotten to partner with, including the magazine features, blog collaborations, and project pattern designers for our free projects program. And of course, we are so thankful for all of YOU – thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, for sharing your Camelot Fabrics projects & tutorials with us, for your sweet and positive words & comments, and for inspiring us each and every day. We are also thankful for chocolate, tea, online shopping, pretty pens, adorable kitties, post-it notes, and glitter hehe.

There are so many things that we are thankful for, that our post would be a novel (haha). But, we hope that all of our American friends have a relaxing and lovely day – eat lots of yummy turkey and apple pie for us!! Have a great day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our incredible pattern designers, Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting Designs. Melissa is a wife and stay-at-home mommy of five by day, quilting enthusiast by night. Melissa and her family have moved several times across the country, but before the first move, she asked her mom to teach her how to quilt. She wanted a new hobby to keep her busy, and through it, found a new love. She began sewing baby blankets for her friends, and her passion for sewing only grew. She started Happy Quilting in 2010 and, soon after, started to design and sell her own quilt patterns.

We had the opportunity to collaborate with Melissa for our Free Projects Program, and Melissa created two fantastic projects for us. The first is our Hang Time Quilt (above in our Fresh Solids), which is a unique and modern cross quilt that features different fabric patterns and colorways perfectly. We love the intricacy of the design, which would make for a stunning quilt as a bedspread or wall decor.

As well, Melissa designed a Peaks and Valleys Table Runner for us which is a fun zig-zagged table runner that would add a bit of oomph to any coffee table or dining table decor. It looks so pretty in our Opposites Attract by Jackie McFee Collection.

As well, check out her Facebook Page, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Cheers to a great rest of the day, everyone!
