Happy Tuesday!! We hope everyone is having a lovely day. We are trying to embrace the milder weather, as we are supposed to be getting more rain in the next coming days. Sigh. We just want sunshine!! :)

In the meantime, we’ve got something else to brighten your day – it’s time for this week’s How To’s Day post! We’ve got a fantastic new tutorial to share with you all, our Easy Pillow Slip! We are all about simplicity and convenience here, so if we can make something…why not right? :) Bedcovers and sheets should be interchanged every couple of weeks, and there is honestly nothing better than the feeling of going to bed in fresh linens. However, buying extra bed wear can get pretty expensive, especially for something that can easily be made yourself, so we are going to share our tips & tricks with you today on just that!

Another awesome thing about bedcovers is that they are just that – covers for your bed! It’s the simplest way to change up a bedroom look; keep the rest of your bedroom décor neutral and add pops of color with your linens (ie. pillows, bed sheets, and curtains!). In a manner of minutes, you’ll have yourself a completely different looking room. It’s a great way to decorate on a budget (such as for a dorm room!), or for those who just like changing things up! Happy Thursday! How is everyone’s day going? The Easter Bunny made a quick visit to the Camelot Design Studio today, so we are all happily working and enjoying our treats! We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter holiday this weekend, wishing you all  much happiness, love, and yummy food :)

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are going to be sharing a very exciting event that took place last week in Kitchener: Scrapfest 2014! This very fun festival brought together lots of crafty and inspiring people. There were informative workshops, engaging make-and-takes, and lots of creativity floating around everywhere!

Westcott was part of a really great Make & Take, lead by Elizabeth Glenday, and we were very honored to be a part of it too! Our Conversation Heart Banner free tutorial was used as the project, and they used our Ad-Fab™ and chalkboard fabric for the banners. We absolutely adore how they made the conversation hearts, but also Easter-inspired with the cute egg banners! It just shows how easily adaptable this project is for all celebrations and holidays.

We adore the “I made it @ Scrapfest 2014” chalkboard fabric speech bubble! Such a cute idea!! The Make & Take looked like it was SO much fun, and we heard that it was a great success. Everyone who came by enjoyed the project and putting their own spin on it! So great to see crafters of all ages having participated too!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to Brenda Greenwood-Vernem from Westcott, Paula Jones from the CHA, and Elizabeth Glenday for allowing Camelot Fabrics to be a part of a great team. We were so happy that our Conversation Hearts Banner & products were much loved at the Scrapfest event! We were super excited to hear everyone was received well and it was a success. Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic day. We are excitedly preparing for some Easter festivities here at the office, including a fun Easter egg hunt and pastel washi tape wall décor. We’re excited!! And to those who celebrate, Happy First Day of Passover! :)

It’s also time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are sharing a fantastic project for you all, just in time for all the upcoming Spring celebrations. We love celebrating anything, but there is nothing as pretty as a springtime tea party infused with all things colorful and bright…and of course, lots of fresh florals all around!

With the amount of celebrations we have throughout the year, we are always up for the challenge of decorating to our heart’s content! We love crafty and DIY parties, and we always find a ton of inspiration on our Pinterest. The project we are sharing today, our Square Bunting Banner Tutorial, is perfect for any occasion or party – it is simple, but adds the perfect amount of punch to any décor, especially with our Neon & On Collection. And because this is made from fabric, it can be reused for multiple occasions, and can be used later on to decorate a bedroom!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day. It’s rainy and dreary here today, but you know what they say…April Showers bring May Flowers! But for now, to brighten our day we still have our Bright Now Giveaway going on! Today is the last day to enter, so if you haven’t yet – be sure to here!

Today we are bringing to you another stunning quilt tutorial for this week’s How To’s Day! The quilt design we are sharing with you is Quilt Bars by Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis – a simplistic, yet fresh and versatile quilt that works with a multitude of different fabric designs.

The clean cut lines of this quilt design by Tammy give a very modern and geometrically pleasing look, perfect to showcase coordinating fabric colors and patterns. For this tutorial, we have used our Mint Condition by Jackie McFee Collection and the mint & grey patterns compliment each other perfectly in this quilt!

This would be a great quilt to gift, for both genders and any age! We can imagine this quilt with some soft pastels for a “baby’s first quilt” or this quilt in dark navy hues for a boy quilt. Happy Tuesday! It is also the first of April today!! And April Fools Day! Did anyone try pulling a prank on someone else or got a prank pulled on them? :) We love a brilliant joke or prank here in the office, as long as it’s all in good fun! Happy pranking! :)

We are starting off April with this week’s How To’s Day. Today we are going to share with you another one of our quilt designs – Our Flying High Quilt by Swirly Girls Design for Camelot Fabrics. This quilt design is playful and modernistic, with the triangles creating an awesome “flying high” pattern (almost like geese!) that works wonderfully with our Take Flight Collection. The tiered triangles also give this otherwise simple and clean design more of a bold statement!

This quilt design would look fantastic with any collection, and is perfect as a kid’s quilt or for snuggling with on the couch, but we especially adore it with our Take Flight Collection.
