For this week’s Thankful Thursday, we are featuring a blog that we are sure all our fellow sewers and bloggers visit as their go-to crafting manual – Sew Mama Sew! It has been a couple of months, but we are ever so thankful that we wanted to properly thank everyone involved for the incredible feature. Their tutorials include stunning dress patterns to quilted projects to tips & tricks for beginners, and everything in between. One amazing thing about Sew Mama Sew is the consistent contributors on the blog, featuring fellow bloggers and crafting enthusiasts alike. Sew Mama Sew partnered up with Warp & Weft and Thread Riding Hood to showcase an amazing project (and a giveaway!) with two of our fabric collections. We were so thrilled and over-the-moon to the see our fabric collections used, and featured on some very cool blogs. Made us feel pretty cool ourselves, haha. The fantastic project was sponsored by Warp & Weft, a fabric retailer and fellow Canadian (yay, represent!), so thank you SOSO much for the fabric love.

Sherri of Thread Riding Hood (um, how adorable is her blog name?!) is the creative behind the project. She created a beautiful Fabric Tray, perfect for holding all your project items (thread, thimble, scissors, etc), or for keeping all your essentials in one place before you leave. The pretty patchwork design gives this Fabric Tray a modern and fun feel, which goes fabulously with the bright colors of our Petite Plume by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio and Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham collections.

Love it!!! This Fabric Tray tutorial is perfect for any extra fabric scraps (we all know we hoard a bunch of those!) laying around. Your scraps will find a new home and will be made into something really pretty and functional. It’s time for our What We Love #14 ♥ We really enjoy sharing what we have loved most every week on our Pinterest, and we hope that you have been liking our pins. This week, the Camelot Design Studio went to see the Lion King Broadway at Place des Arts, and it was incredibly beautiful and full of amazing talent. It was definitely one of the greatest musicals we have been to, and it was even more special getting to see it with each other. Watching the musical has inspired us with its brilliant costumes, empowering storyline, and magical adornments. On to some other things that we’ve loved this week… ♥

Happy Wednesday!! We hope everyone is having a great day. Did you see our How To’s Day yesterday? We shared our stylish and functional DIY Lunch Hamper Tutorial, which is insulated for both hot and cold items, so it’s perfect for that last beach day…or for {as much as we don’t want to say yet} the upcoming colder days (hot cocoa, pumpkin lattes…can we say, yum?!!).

Today is Winsday, and that means it’s time for another weekly giveaway! We had gotten such a positive response on our last Neon & On by Jackie McFee Giveaway, that we decided to host another one. We hosted our first Neon & On Giveaway at the beginning of the Summer, and now here we are hosting one another at the end of it. But alas, it’s the perfect way to celebrate a wonderful Summer! Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful long weekend. It was the perfect couple of days of beautiful weather and relaxation, the best way to start off September. We still can’t believe that we’re already into September, but excited for everything to come.

Starting off September with an awesome How To’s Day! There are still a few weeks left of Summer, so this week’s How To’s Day is perfect for soaking up those last couple of days of warm weather and greenery. Today we are featuring our Insulated Lunch Hamper Tutorial on the blog, a stylish and practical bag that would be fantastic for a last Summer picnic or beach day. Happy Friday! We hope you all had a fantastic week – we are so happy for the long weekend… means extra time for sewing projects, quilting, and crafting! Anyone working on any fun projects this weekend? We’d love to know :)

Time for our weekly Fan Friday, and today we’re sharing the perfect project to kick start this long weekend. When we saw this In The Navy bunting banner by Little Birds Boutique, we knew we just had to share. Fran, owner and designer at Little Birds Boutique, is a Landscape Architect by profession. In 2007, she became a full-time stay-at-home mommy to her 3 year old twins. She started sewing after the birth of her girls, and never looked back. Her passion for sewing continued, and she began Little Birds Boutique as a way to share her creations with the world.

She started with bibs and blankets, but quickly expanded to kid’s clothing, headbands, bags, and even more adorable accessories for little kiddos. She loves the whole spectrum of running her business, from the initial design to the final product being sent out to its new home. And when she’s not sewing for her business, she’s still sewing things for her family – needless to say, she found her true calling!

We were so thrilled to see that Fran used our In The Navy by Jackie McFee Collection for her bunting banners. They look so fun and happy, perfect for a nautical-themed party or nursery room!! We love that she chose a fun mix of all the patterns, keeping it fresh with the navy and hot pink color scheme. As well, we love that the top stitch, though a necessity, also adds a fun element to the banner with its zig-zag pattern. We absolutely adore this bunting banner, and could imagine it brightening up any space – love the idea of it being above a bed or strung along a crib!
