Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! Happy First of Fall everyone!! Taking a walk outside yesterday, it definitely smelled and felt like Fall…and we loved it – the crisp and cool air, the smell of fireplaces burning, and the wonderful crunching of leaves!

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! We’re taking you back in time to a past featured tutorial, our Insulated Lunch Hamper, that so many of you absolutely adored. So many of you loved the idea of an insulated lunch hamper for your picnics, road trips, and outdoor school games & events. Because of the Spacetex insulation, you’ll be able to use the hamper for keeping cold drinks cool, and hot drinks…well you know, hot. There’s nothing more disappointing than drinking lukewarm hot cocoa on a frigid, Winter day.

We featured our Insulated Lunch Hamper with Mint Condition – a beautiful, soft mint & grey collection of floral, hexagonal, and dotted prints. This week, we are sharing our lunch hamper in a completely different collection, and absolutely love how it turned out as well.

Our What a Gem by Allison Cole for Camelot Fabrics collection is bright, popping, and modern with its stunning dream catcher, arrows, and succulents prints in eye-catching navy, coral, and emerald. It amps up our lunch hamper to new heights, making it super stylish and fresh. Even your teens will want to carry this hamper around, we guarantee it! And now you find the full, free tutorial of our Insulated Lunch Hamper in printable PDF form on our website – just click HERE to find the full instructions.

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday! We hope you all had a great weekend, soaking up the last little bits of Summer. Although, it has been pretty chilly as of late…apparently, we should be hitting the mid-20s this week so that should be a wonderful way to kickstart Fall! We’ve also got our Paisley Please & Aurifil Threads Giveaway on our Facebook Page this week. Be sure to enter here!

It’s time a dash of inspiration with today’s Moody Monday! We have been happily perusing the recent fashion collections from Fashion Week, and seeing all the trends for the upcoming seasons. We love Star Wars everything here (*ahem* here, here, here, here, here *ahem*), so seeing that Star Wars hit the runway for Fall/Winter 2014 in multiple shows was AWESOME! Naturally, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi’s Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection made us SO happy, we just had to share it with you all!! The Preen/Disney collaboration brought us Darth Vader’s mask in a very abstract and motif-esque way, making the pieces wearable for the everyday. You can check out the full collection, including the other Star Wars outfit, HERE.

Our Star Wars collections are always filled with flashes of bright colors, interesting galactic scenes, and all your favorite SW characters (Yoda, Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, Darth Vader…hey, everyone has their favorites). What we love almost even more is being able to chat with all the fellow Star Wars fans, and seeing all their incredible projects with our Star Wars fabric. We are always so amazed at their incredible creativity, and it always makes our days when they share their projects with us. We are so thrilled that we get to a part of such a wonderful and passionate community! Be sure to check out all of our Star Wars goodness here.

We hope we have inspired you with today’s Moody Monday! Here’s to a fantastic week; have a great day! :)

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday!! YAY for the weekend; wishing everyone a fantastic one! As well, we are hosting a Paisley Please + Coordinating Aurifil Threads Giveaway on our Facebook Page. You can enter our giveaway HERE!

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! And we’ve got one that is perfect to end this week and kick-start the weekend. Today we are featuring a really beautiful Etsy Shop, Sew Liab. Martina Croom, owner and creative behind Sew Liab, is a military mom currently stationed in Northern France and a sewing enthusiast. It was teachers, family, and her husband who encouraged her to start a shop to sell her creations, and thus her Etsy Shop was born.

The name Sew Liab has two origins: Sew is to represent what she loves to do, and Liab; a Austrian vernacular for cute, sweet and precious to express what she sells. The name fits perfectly for her shop, because Martina sells the sweetest of handmade clothing (dresses, tunics, etc), quilts, baby items, toys, bags, and more! As well, Martina has a keen eye for adorable, but modern fabric collections to use, to make all her designs bright, happy, and fun.

Martina chose our Let’s Go by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio Collection for her lovely Pencil Pouches. The structure is perfect for storing all your coloring tools, but can also be used as a makeup bag, sewing supplies carrier, or bag separator. The fox designs add an adorable flair to this pencil pouch, that everyone will be asking where you got it from! We adore the sweet foxes, raccoons, and flora patterns decorating the happy pouches from Let’s Go. And what makes Martina super awesome is the customization factor of her shop – you can also request a larger size of this pouch, as a toiletry bag or diaper clutch! Check out her awesome Let’s Go Pencil Pouch here.

We want to thank Martina for the wonderful fabric love!! We are so happy you love our Let’s Go Collection, and decided to choose it for your beautiful pencil pouches. Be sure to check out more from Martina at her Etsy Shop, as well as her Facebook Page. We hope everyone has a great weekend! Until next week…

It’s time for our What We Love #16 ♥ This week on our Pinterest Boards, we (the Camelot Design Studio) have been busy pinning away all the things that have inspired us most. We have been greatly been influenced by intricate and unique patterns & bold colorways. As Fall is quickly approaching, our inspirations have started to lean more towards cozier and richer images, getting us ready for the colder season. We absolutely adore this print of the Moon and Earth, these stunning marmalade jars, these enticing textile moths by Yumi Okita, this amazing textiles shop in Colombia, and plaid/pleather combinations for Autumn. Check out our images for even more visual prettiness… ♥

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! We hope everyone is having a terrific day! To add some color to your day, we’re hosting a Paisley Please FQB + Coordinating Aurifil Threads Giveaway on our Facebook Page. To get us all in the spirit of Autumn, we would love to know what your favorite Fall treat is. Head on over there for your chance to win! :)

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a fantastic sewing lounge and fabric boutique in Grand Rapids, Michigan…Stitched Studio! Stitched Studio offers a wide range of modern fabric collections of medium-weight 100% cotton fabric, organic fabrics, knit, voile, flannel, linen, and denim. As well, you will find lots of other sewing goodies – designer patterns, books, hand embroidery designs, embellishments, and notions. Aside from it being a wonderful quilt shop, their sewing lounge offers its customers a relaxing atmosphere to take in all the beautiful fabrics and spark inspiration. Sip some coffee while flipping through inspiring sewing magazines and books, work on your projects with their available sewing machines, cutting machines, and other notions! We think this idea is absolutely fantastic, and a great way to find new sewing friends and communities.

As well, Stitched Studio offers classes for sewing enthusiasts of all styles and skill levels, from quilting, fashion, bag making, and home décor classes…and even a class for the kiddos! They also have monthly Friday Night Sew-In’s, where crafters can come together to work on their projects and chat about all things fabric amongst yummy snacks.

Their Stitched Design Club is a super fun “Project Runway” style program for kids ages 8 and up, to inspire them to love sewing and encourage them to embrace their creative minds. We are so impressed by this wonderful fabric shop/sewing lounge for their amazing programs to encourage everyone to sew and learn! We are so grateful that they love our fabric selections, and that they have chosen our fabrics to showcase in their shop and use in their projects. We spot our Petite Plume Collection created into adorable little girl’s shorts (seen above!), and our Neon & On Collection for their pouch projects (below). We are so thankful to have been a part of inspiring creativity!

They truly are doing something remarkable, and are so grateful to be a part of it. Have a great day, everyone!
