Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful long weekend. It was the perfect couple of days of beautiful weather and relaxation, the best way to start off September. We still can’t believe that we’re already into September, but excited for everything to come.

Starting off September with an awesome How To’s Day! There are still a few weeks left of Summer, so this week’s How To’s Day is perfect for soaking up those last couple of days of warm weather and greenery. Today we are featuring our Insulated Lunch Hamper Tutorial on the blog, a stylish and practical bag that would be fantastic for a last Summer picnic or beach day. But even as fall and winter rolls around, our Insulated Lunch Hamper can be used to keep all your hot food and drinks warm. Here’s to fun days in the snow, followed by delicious hot cocoa!

Our Insulated Lunch Hamper is insulated with our Spacetex, so it’s great for storing both hot and cold items. As well, the nylon is water-resistant so you can easily wipe away any condensation with a cloth. There are also three inner compartments, so there’s extra storage to organize your goodies. We used our Mint Condition by Jackie McFee Collection, which we think looks super pretty and fresh with the crisp mint and grey designs. No more lugging around heavy picnic baskets or boring coolers – take our Insulated Lunch Hamper on your next romantic park picnic or kid’s hockey match, and you’ll be equally organized and trendy!

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! We hope you all had a fantastic week – we are so happy for the long weekend… means extra time for sewing projects, quilting, and crafting! Anyone working on any fun projects this weekend? We’d love to know :)

Time for our weekly Fan Friday, and today we’re sharing the perfect project to kick start this long weekend. When we saw this In The Navy bunting banner by Little Birds Boutique, we knew we just had to share. Fran, owner and designer at Little Birds Boutique, is a Landscape Architect by profession. In 2007, she became a full-time stay-at-home mommy to her 3 year old twins. She started sewing after the birth of her girls, and never looked back. Her passion for sewing continued, and she began Little Birds Boutique as a way to share her creations with the world.

She started with bibs and blankets, but quickly expanded to kid’s clothing, headbands, bags, and even more adorable accessories for little kiddos. She loves the whole spectrum of running her business, from the initial design to the final product being sent out to its new home. And when she’s not sewing for her business, she’s still sewing things for her family – needless to say, she found her true calling!

We were so thrilled to see that Fran used our In The Navy by Jackie McFee Collection for her bunting banners. They look so fun and happy, perfect for a nautical-themed party or nursery room!! We love that she chose a fun mix of all the patterns, keeping it fresh with the navy and hot pink color scheme. As well, we love that the top stitch, though a necessity, also adds a fun element to the banner with its zig-zag pattern. We absolutely adore this bunting banner, and could imagine it brightening up any space – love the idea of it being above a bed or strung along a crib!

We want to thank you, Fran, for the fabric love and for using our In The Navy by Jackie McFee Collection for your beautiful bunting banners. Be sure to check out Fran’s Etsy Shop Little Birds Boutique, for an abundance of other goodies, as well as her accompanying Facebook Page. Have a wonderful long weekend!!

Time for this week’s What We Love #13!! As always, we have been pinning what we love most on our Pinterest Boards. From creative DIY projects to delicious food to just cuteness, we’ve probably pinned it (haha). This week, we have been inspired by so many things – Fall is quickly approaching us, and we’ve been noticing autumn favorites showing up (ie. Starbucks’ PSL? Um, yum!). Not that we’re over Summer, we definitely could use another month of hot weather, but we’re also excited for all things that Fall will bring.

Our What We Love today is a mix of everything, sort of encapsulating Dr. Suess’ quote “we’re all a little weird…”. We definitely concur; where’s the fun if there is no weirdness? This week, we inspire you to embrace your weirdness…because being weird and embracing weirdness is how we should be ♥

We hope we have inspired you with this week’s What We Love. Embrace your weirdness! Remember, we are always pinning away on our Pinterest Board, so be sure to check out our boards for even more daily inspiration ♥

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a terrific day so far. We cannot believe that we are in the last few days of August, but are excited for the long weekend.

For this week’s Thankful Thursday, we are featuring one of newest, favourite sewing magazines: Love Patchwork & Quilting. Love Patchwork & Quilting is a modern quilting magazine based in the UK dedicated to bringing us fresh, inspiring, and bold projects. They’re a relatively new magazine (they are on their 11th edition), but have quickly become number one in the UK – with good reason! They love to showcase new, fresh fabric collections and collaborate with awesome project designers.

As you turn to each page, there’s always something to catches your eye and inspire you. Their pages are filled with beautiful images, helpful tips & tricks, inspiring projects and fabric collections. There’s something for everyone, from quilting projects to smaller project ideas; even those who are intimidated by sewing will feel encouraged. As well, each issue features a free, mini project to follow along to, to make your very own craft. You can’t help but get inspired and happy flipping through an issue of Love Patchwork & Quilting, and their editor Jenny Fox-Proverbs definitely makes that happen!

We were so thrilled when we saw that our Love Letters by Jane Farnham Collection was featured in their latest edition, in their Love Life section, which is dedicated to celebrating the fabric of life. If you flip to page 13, you’ll see a very familiar collection – Love Letters! There’s a fantastic writeup on the collection, and we are so happy that it was chosen as one of their favorites this month. Our Love Letters Collection embodies cherishing your loved ones, and embracing your time with them, so we definitely think it fits perfectly with the theme.

We want to say a big thank you to Jenny and Love Patchwork & Quilting for featuring our Love Letters by Jane Farnham Collection. Love Patchwork & Quilting is a stunning magazine, so we definitely feel honored to be included. We absolutely adore Jane and her beautiful designs, and are so happy to call her one of our own, so it’s so wonderful to see the amazing response.

You can check out more from Love Patchwork & Quilting on their website, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. We can’t wait to see what’s next! Have a fantastic day, everyone!
