Happy Wednesday!! We hope everyone is having a lovely day. We shared our beautiful Tablet Case Tutorial by Hypernoodle on the blog yesterday, so be sure to check it out here if you haven’t. Our tablet case is the perfect balance of style and protection, and we are sure you will adore it!

Happy Wednesday!! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day. We are back from Fall Quilt Market, and wow, we had the best time!! So many amazing memories made. We’ll be sharing loads of pictures on the blog and our Facebook soon!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. Have you been following our Summer 2014 Launch Week? It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are taking the time to thank our wonderful friends at Westcott. Westcott has been one of the world’s leading scissors brands for over 140 years. Founded in 1872 by Henry Westcott in Seneca, New York, the Westcott Brand has gone through two World Wars and the Great Depression. Over the years, Westcott has expanded its product range to other cutting tools, office and school supplies, and craft supplies (such as lettering and trimming tools). Their wide range in products has allowed them to enter new markets, however what has stayed the same is their high-quality and well-made products. Westcott is a worldwide, trusted brand for all your cutting tool needs!

Westcott has been super generous and wonderful, as they had provided us with lots of goodies to try out with our fabric and crafting products (felt and ad-fab™). Some of the products that they let us test out were the Trimair Paper Trimmer, Multi-Purpose Trimmer, Titanium Precision Scissors, and extra blades. We have had the best of time getting to test out all the cutting tools, and we can definitely uphold to them being one of the best in the world! The paper trimmers cut through paper seamlessly, and we have been using their scissors for our fabric, ad-fab™, and felt.

Thank you SO much, Westcott, for being so sweet! We have also collaborated with them on a couple of past festivals, such as CreativFest and ScrapFest – we sent them our felt and ad-fab™ for their workshops. Happy Thursday! How is everyone’s day going? The Easter Bunny made a quick visit to the Camelot Design Studio today, so we are all happily working and enjoying our treats! We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter holiday this weekend, wishing you all  much happiness, love, and yummy food :)

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are going to be sharing a very exciting event that took place last week in Kitchener: Scrapfest 2014! This very fun festival brought together lots of crafty and inspiring people. There were informative workshops, engaging make-and-takes, and lots of creativity floating around everywhere!

Westcott was part of a really great Make & Take, lead by Elizabeth Glenday, and we were very honored to be a part of it too! Our Conversation Heart Banner free tutorial was used as the project, and they used our Ad-Fab™ and chalkboard fabric for the banners. We absolutely adore how they made the conversation hearts, but also Easter-inspired with the cute egg banners! It just shows how easily adaptable this project is for all celebrations and holidays.

We adore the “I made it @ Scrapfest 2014” chalkboard fabric speech bubble! Such a cute idea!! The Make & Take looked like it was SO much fun, and we heard that it was a great success. Everyone who came by enjoyed the project and putting their own spin on it! So great to see crafters of all ages having participated too!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to Brenda Greenwood-Vernem from Westcott, Paula Jones from the CHA, and Elizabeth Glenday for allowing Camelot Fabrics to be a part of a great team. We were so happy that our Conversation Hearts Banner & products were much loved at the Scrapfest event! We were super excited to hear everyone was received well and it was a success.
