Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. It’s National High Five Day, so here’s a high five from us haha! *virtual high five*

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday on the blog. Today we are featuring one of our favorite ribbon enthusiasts, May Arts Ribbon! May Arts Ribbon started out in the early 80s in Riverside, Connecticut, and is a family-owned and operated company. They started out by producing high-quality silk flowers that were decorated with pretty ribbons. The ribbons became such a big hit, that May Arts eventually became a dedicated ribbon wholesaler. They have now expanded their selection of beautiful ribbons, from lace to 100% silk to other fun trims & embellishments. We especially adore their pom-poms and scalloped trim! From their solid, bright colors to their funky patterns, we are such fans of May Arts’ ribbon selection – they’re great to pair with our fabric projects (…we’ll be sharing some with you soon!).

We decided to do a fun, crafty swap with May Arts Ribbon! They recently posted a lovely Vintage Style Apron tutorial, featuring their ribbon and our Folklore Collection – and we adore it! Charlene Driggs created this easy apron tutorial for the May Arts Ribbon blog, a project that any leveled sewer could master and have fun with. The hardest part comes from choosing a favorite fabric and ribbon, and from there – a bit of sewing and you’re done! In the end, you’ll have a super cute apron – with an adorable bow detail – for your next cooking or baking adventure. Love this one! You can find the full, free tutorial on their blog.

How pretty, right? :) You can find all of your ribbon and trim needs at May Arts Ribbon. As well, be sure to find more fun projects on their blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Thanks so much, May Arts Ribbon, for the awesome tutorial and for sharing. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned with our new ribbon! Have an awesome day, everyone. I know I will…psst. it’s my birthday ;) hehe

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope you are all having a fantastic day so far. We’re hosting another Winsday this week on our Facebook Page. This week, we are giving away our Heavy Metal by Jackie McFee Collection and want to know what makes you shine. Head on over there to enter!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are sharing some pillows that amazing pattern designer, Kristy Daum, sewed up for us! Kristy is the voice and creator behind the blog St. Louis Folk Victorian, where she shares her latest quilting creations and fabric finds. We found her blog, fell in love with her projects and style (a coworker had sent me a link to her Sherlock Quilt), and knew we had to chat! Her Elevation Pillow is available as a free pattern on our website, and is one of our absolute faves because of how much fun you can having, mixing & matching different patterns. The design creates a cool, “graph-like” design, and we like that the background is a solid, so that the middle stands out.

Kristy sewed two versions of her Elevation Pillow for us, one in our London Fog Collection and one in Wildflowers by Alisse Courter. Look at how gorgeous they are? Kristy did an incredible job with the quilting too. These pillows would look fantastic tossed together on a day bed or as a big ol’ pile on the floor – comfy and pretty to look at!  You can find the free pattern for Elevation here.

Thank you, Kristy, SO much for everything! You truly are a superstar haha. You’ll definitely be seeing lots more from Kristy coming up soon, so stay tuned!! You can check out more from Kristy on her blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. And with that, have a great day!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an awesome day. Feeling a bit of a sugar rush this afternoon, but hey – it was Easter! Where else is all this chocolate going to go? Seems like a legit enough reason to us, haha.

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are sharing a Bar Blocked Floor Mat Tutorial by Made by Marion. Simple, modern, and clean in this design, this bar blocked floor mat features our wonderful osnaburg, a textile that is like canvas but with a lighter weight (can be seen in our Basics Catalog). It is unbleached, like our Heirloom Collection, which is also featured in our project. With our Heirloom Collection, this bar blocked floor mat looks luxurious and regal.

The simple striped design makes it the perfect mat for any interior space – it would look lovely under a glass coffee table or by your bedroom door. Its smaller size makes it a great piece for adding a bit of pizzazz to a floor space, without the commitment of a large rug or carpet.

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! We hope you are having a lovely day. We forgot to mention that yesterday was National Puppy Day, and wanted to give a shout-out to our favorite little snuggles. We adore you!

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring one of our quilt patterns from our Free Projects Program, our Crossroads Quilt by Harding Hill Designs. Crossroads is an intricate, but stunning quilt design that is composed of a multitude of half square triangles (HSTs) sewn together. Together they intertwine to create an absolutely beautiful “cross” design, the centerpiece of the whole quilt. Because of the complexity of Crossroads, it would be a showstopper as a bed quilt or wall design. All the intricate work would be absolutely worth it. Promise. As well, it looks amazing with our vivacious Gypsy Lane by Jane Farnham Collection!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! We hope you all are doing wonderfully today. It’s been absolutely beautiful outside today – a high of 6 °C (oh my!). Here’s hoping for a continuous uphill in temperature!

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our modern Slanted Wrap Wallet by Marion of Made by Marion. Our Slanted Wrap Wallet is a stunner, and features lovely binding details so you can choose different fabrics for each block. Our wrap wallet includes an attached loop, so it would also make for a great clutch, especially for a girl’s night out. Carry your essentials – cards, keys, phone, and lipgloss – and you are good to dance the night away! We chose to feature our Slanted Wrap Wallet in our London Fog Collection, and think it looks super sleek and fun!!
