Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a brilliant day!! One of our designers, Jane Farnham, was featured on Print & Pattern this week! They showcased her new Spring 2014 collections from Camelot Fabrics. Congratulations, Jane! :)

We’ve got our Thankful Thursday to share with you! Today we are taking the time to thank the CHA Craft Industry Magazine for their lovely feature on our new craft products in their Spring 2014 issue! We got to experience our first CHA show this year, back in January 2014 in Anaheim, California. It was such a fantastic experience getting to showcase our fabric collections, but also our crafting products – our ad-fab™ and soft & hard felt. We received so many awesome comments and feedback on our new products, and got to meet so many inspiring bloggers and crafting enthusiasts! We also wrote about our full CHA show experience, which you can read here.

Craft Industry Today, the magazine correlated to the CHA, has a wonderful feature called “Trend Report”…and guess who was featured in it? Yup, that’s right..us! They reported about the CHA show experience, and wrote up a lovely section on our booth and adhesive products.

“Adhesive-backed fabric was presented by Camelot Fabrics from Canada. Ready for die-cutting and appliques, this versatile product appeals to mixed-media crafters, sewists, and paper crafters alike. […] For crafters who like even more texture, how about some patterned adhesive-backed felt? The fabulous tactile experience of felt combined with the ease and convenience of the sticky back makes this a winner for teen/youth crafting, too.” – Jenny Barnett Rohrs, founder and editor of CraftTestDummies.com

We are so happy you were able to stop by our booth and that you enjoyed our adhesive products! We had such a great experience at the CHA Show and were so glad to have been part of such a positive community. Be sure to check out the CHA website to get a copy of the Spring 2014 Craft Industry Magazine, as well as for more info on the CHA. You can check out our ad-fab™ and adhesive felt lines on our website! Have a great day! :)

We’ve got our Thankful Thursday for you all!! Today we are featuring one of our incredible quilt designers, Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis! Tammy has been quilting since 1991, and has a continued love and passion for fabrics & sewing. She loves to work with all sorts of fabrics, but she admits that her favorites include batiks, bold prints, and chicken prints. Tammy is the owner of Tamarinis, a quilt pattern company dedicated to unique and fantastic quilt designs. Tammy has a wonderful mix of traditional and more modern quilt designs, all of which are aesthetically beautiful and influenced by her art & literature background. We had the awesome opportunity of collaborating with Tammy on a couple of quilt designs, and even had some sewn up for Spring Quilt Market!

One of the exclusive quilt patterns Tammy designed for us is Quilt Bars – a clean and bordered quilt design that works well with a multitude of fabric designs. We love how the design draws the eyes towards the middle, but isn’t busy because of the quilt’s simplicity. We had Quilt Bars done with our Iconic Collection for Quilt Market, and it looked absolutely incredible in our Iconic room! Soso stunning!!

The second quilt design that Tammy created for us is Play Date – a really fun, baby-sized quilt with adorable pinwheel details! We had the quilt sewn up with our Take Flight by Vita Mechachonis Collection, and it was perfect for our Take Flight boy’s room set-up at Quilt Market. We love how the blues, reds, and creams in this collection work perfectly – and the pinwheels are even reminiscent of propellers! What we were in awe by was the cloud embroidery that Tammy did on this quilt; so detail-oriented and absolutely beautiful!!

We wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Tammy of Tamarinis for creating two absolutely incredible quilt designs for us. All of Tammy’s quilt designs are clear and concise, and really wonderful to work with and understand. We heard so many positive comments on these two quilts at Quilt Market!! We are so incredibly thankful for your partnership, Tammy, and cannot wait for some future collaborations!! Stay tuned for some more beautiful things from Tamarinis, exclusively for Camelot Fabrics, coming soon. You can check out Tammy’s website, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest for more. Have a lovely day! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic day!! We have been looking at all of our Quilt Market pictures, and are so thankful for yet another successful show. As well, we are SO thankful for all of our project and quilt designers who created or sewed up projects for us, for our booth. In all honesty, our booth wouldn’t have looked half as incredible without you all…so a HUGE hug to you from us!! We will be posting a Quilt Market summary very soon with more pictures and information from the show, and all our projects too!

One of the absolutely STUNNING quilts we showcased at our Quilt Market booth was created and sewn by one of our quilt designers, Joanne Hillestad of The Fat Quarter Gypsy. She has been such a wonderful person to work with, and we are so thankful we found this creative gal! Joanne had her first Quilt Market experience this year (YAY!), and we are so proud of her and everything that is to come. Today’s Thankful Thursday is featuring Joanne of The Fat Quarter Gypsy!

Joanne and her sister have always loved being creative and crafty, and this passion only stemmed as she grew up. As a teenager, she loved making clothing…when she got married, her love for sewing blossomed to baby blankets, clothes, and home décor. After her first baby boy was born, she became a crafty and innovative mom making fancy bags with pockets for mini cars, a road play mat, sleeping bags for stuffed animals, and other fun projects! It was her way of expressing her creative side, and she really enjoyed sewing…and fabric! Then one day her mother-in-law, Nancy, told her about the quilts she was making…and Joanne found a new passion! Joanne now designs quilt patterns and sews quilts for her company, The Fat Quarter Gypsy! Yup, best name ever!! :)

Joanne’s quilt designs are fun and unique, which is exactly what we love!! We had the privilege of collaborating with Joanne on a quilt design, and she created the beautiful Deco Ritz Quilt for our Free Projects Program, featuring our Nightfall Collection. We think it works perfectly with this collection – so luxurious and magical with the black, white, and gold. We have a couple of variations on our website and it looks incredible with our other collections too! Joanne sewed up the Deco Ritz Quilt for us for Quilt Market with our Design Studio Collection!! We absolutely adore how the blues, blacks, and greys work perfectly together. Love, love, love!!

Isn’t is JUST gorgeous? Thank you, Joanne, for taking a snap of the quilt above. You can check out the free pattern for the Deco Ritz Quilt on our website HERE. We are so thankful for your partnership, Joanne, and cannot wait for what’s to come!! It’s been such a pleasure working with you thus far. Be sure to check out The Fat Quarter Gypsy for Joanne’s quilt patterns, as well as her blog, Facebook Page, and Pinterest. Have a great day!

We had the privilege of partnering up with Susan, who created an absolutely stunning quilt design for our Free Projects Program! The quilt she created is called Flying High, a very geometric and modern quilt design – we especially love the ‘flying geese’ element to it! This pattern has worked so wonderfully with all of our collections, such as our NEW Spring 2014 Spectrum Collection (shown below!). You can find the free pattern for Flying High here.
