Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a good day so far. We cannot believe that there are 48 days until Christmas!! So excited for everything – the pretty decorations, the shopping, the gift wrapping, the food. Ah, we can’t wait! :)
It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday, and today we are thanking one of our incredible pattern designers. Nikki Maroon is the crafty gal behind the blog, The Girl Who Quilts, a name that perfectly embodies who she is. The Girl Who Quilts is all about Nikki’s quilting adventures, from her latest quilt creations to her tutorials to her custom work. Nikki creates really unique and pretty pieces, and shares her story behind each design in her posts. As well, Nikki has an Etsy Shop where she makes and sells her own patterns!
We found Nikki’s blog and absolutely fell in love her design style and patterns! Scrolling through her blog, our eyes were quickly filled with lots pretty quilts and incredible embroidery work. We are so happy that we got the chance to work with Nikki on a couple of projects for our Free Projects Program. Nikki has created three custom projects for us, the first is her Octagon Pillow which is very geometrically pleasing and showcases a collection wonderfully, such as our Mixology prints.
As well, she created her Diamond Cut Pillow for us which has a lovely “window”-like effect, which a diamond middle. We love it with our Sea Life by Heather Rosas Collection. Finally, her Diamonds Quilt is like the quilt version of the Diamond Cut Pillow and we are loving the gradient effect it has with our Spectrum Collection.
We want to thank Nikki for the amazing partnership and the incredible projects! We are so honored to have worked with you thus far, and cannot wait for what is to come. You can check out all of Nikki’s projects on our website! As well, be sure to check out more from Nikki at her blog, Etsy Shop, Facebook Page, Pinterest, and Instagram. Have a wonderful day!! :)

It’s time for this week’s What We Love ♥ The cooler days and monochromatic colors have been inspiring us to be more creative by everyday experiences. Finding that inner childhood in all of us can be the best spark of creativity, whether reading nostalgic stories or dancing like no one is watching, sometimes it’s the simplest of things that can make the most happy. Take some time to be silly, eat that extra scoop of ice cream, and be your child self again. Here’s what’s been inspiring us this week… ♥
Vanessa: Taylor Swift’s 1989 Album
Valeria: Close Encounters by Invisible Creature
Marion: Texas
Shannen: Banana Pudding Tiramisu
Juan: Book Art
We hope you have been inspired by our What We Love this week! Be sure to check our Pinterest for more of our current Camelot Design Studio favorites. We’d love to know what you have been loving most! ♥

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day so far. We are hosting another Winsday this week and are giving away our Beyond the Backyard FQB AND 2 Westcott Cutting Tools on our Facebook Page. Be sure to enter if you haven’t yet HERE!
It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our incredible pattern designers, Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs. Cheryl Brickey is a chemical engineer/patent agent by day and a quilter by night. Quilting and creating patterns involve a lot of technical skill, which in turn was the perfect hobby for Cheryl who also has a passion for sewing and fabrics. As a creative outlet, Cheryl was able to use her technical writing background to create her own quilting patterns as a pattern designer. Cheryl started her pattern company, Meadow Mist Designs, to sell her patterns on Etsy. Since then, her success in the quilting world has grown immensely. Her quilts have been featured in quilt magazines, blogs, and her patterns are very popular!
We had the privilege of working with Cheryl as one of our pattern designers for our Free Projects Program. Cheryl created the Cracker Lattice Quilt for us, which is a stunning, geometric quilt design that reflects her technical and engineering background perfectly. This modern quilt pattern features a lovely double lattice design with triangle and diamond elements and its simplicity works so well with a multitude of colors and fabrics, such as our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection. We absolutely love the versatility of this modern quilt! You can find the pattern for Cracker Lattice here.
We want to thank Cheryl for creating such a stunning quilt design for us, and for the wonderful partnership. We cannot wait for what’s still to come. You can find the free PDF of our Cracker Lattice Quilt on our website. As well, be sure to check out more from Cheryl on her blog, Etsy, and Facebook. Have a great one!

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a terrific day so far. We are inching closer to the weekend, which means it’s just about Quilt Market time!! If you are going to be there, be sure to stop by booth #1824 to say hello! Come check out our new collections, our wonderful projects & set-up, and our designers. It’s going to be so much fun! Hope to see you there!!
Today we are bringing to you our Thankful Thursday! We are featuring an amazing quilting magazine, the only Canadian quilt-based read… Quilter’s Connection Magazine! Quilter’s Connection is all about sharing the latest and greatest there is in the quilting world, from new fabric collections to featured project tutorials to perfecting techniques. They will share upcoming, Canadian quilt shows and festivals, and share their current favorite fabrics, notions, and supplies. They have a lovely mix of quilt projects in both modern and more classic fabrics. As well, because they are Canadian-based and proud, they like to highlight Canadian companies and designers…a wonderful treat for fellow Canadian, sewing enthusiasts! And as their motto goes, “we are a truly Canadian magazine – for quilters, by quilters.”
Quilter’s Connection featured our Fresh Solids in their latest issue for Fall 2014 in their “Favourite Finds” Section. Our stack looks oh-so pretty in print, almost as lovely as they do in real life. We are so thrilled that Quilter’s Connection adores our Fresh Solids Collection! And as a bonus, we’re also Canadian…so it is even more special to be featured in a home-based publication for quilting!
Thank you Quilter’s Connection for the fabric love! You can get your copy of Quilter’s Connection on their website. You can also find them on their blog, Facebook, and Twitter. Have a great rest of the day, everyone! :)
