Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having an exceptionally brilliant day. It’s a lovely winter day here today with the sun shining, the temperature being pretty mild, and the glistening of the fresh snow is pretty.

We have got another Thankful Thursday to share! Today we are taking the time to thank Wilma, one of our amazing quilters. Wilma created a four beautiful quilts for us that we’ve used for the past two Quilt Markets. We have received such outstanding and positive comments at Quilt Market on our quilts, and we have Wilma to thank for that.

We wanted to thank Wilma for all the hard work and dedication for sewing all the quilts for us, we truly appreciate it! Wilma did use a couple of outside quilt patterns. As well, we wanted to thank Michelle from Hypernoodle, as she was the one who connected us with Wilma. The collections used for the quilts are Hand Picked by Jackie McFee, Imaginarium by The Camelot Design Studio, The Design Studio Collection by The Camelot Design Studio, and Gray Matters by Jackie McFee. We also have all these collections in Fat Quarter Bundles! Be sure to check out the stunning quilts below:

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday everyone! We hope everyone is having an amazing day. There are 6 more days till Christmas!! We are ready to snuggle up by the fire with some popcorn and Christmas movie classics, to enjoy the winter snow…but from the inside. “Blast this Christmas music. It’s joyful and triumphant” — The Grinch, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Today is Thankful Thursday on the blog! We are taking the time to thank Multi-Testing Mommy for sharing with her readers {and us} a super crafty (and practical!) project. Multi-Testing Mommy is a Canadian-based mommy blog, created by mommy of two Amanda, that focuses on sharing parenting and lifestyle tips, giveaways, DIY projects, and more! We sent our Imaginarium fabric to her, and she swiftly got crafty and inspired! Amanda created these fantastic microwavable beanbags using our fabric – how ingenious is that?!

These microwavable beanbags are the perfect accessory for our intensely cold winters here in Canada; you simply microwave the bags slightly and then slip them into your coat pockets to keep you warm! Great last-minute DIY Christmas gift idea for sewers. For something extra Amanda used essential oils in them, and they can also be used as cold packs.

Thank you so much Amanda for sharing this great tutorial with us and loving our fabrics! You can also check out more on Multi-Testing Mommy, as well as Amanda’s twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. Until next time, wishing everyone a fantastic rest of the day. The weekend is almost here!

19 December

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day. It’s exceptionally cold here (brrr…we’re definitely bundled up in layers today!), but it’s so beautiful with the sun shining and snow glistening. Oh, and it’s National Poinsettia Day! “Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.” – Laura Ingalls Wilder

It’s time for a holiday question on the blog! Today’s question is: What is your favorite winter activity? Let us know in the comments below. Mine would be ice skating, and then coming to home a warm fireplace and green tea! Let’s see what our Design Studio team’s favorites are:

MarionTobogganing with kids, followed by hot cocoa.

Valeria: I love walking around Montreal’s Old Port eating cinnamon Queue de castor (Canadian fried dough)!

Juan: Making a gingerbread house with my kids!

Andra: Taking a walk in the evening when the snow is falling and everything looks magical, it’s truly a winter wonderland.

ShannenMy favorite winter activity is not very active. I like anything that keeps me warm and cozy! Think warm, thick socks & sweaters, hot drink in hand & next to the woodstove while spending time with my family.

We’ve got another Thankful Thursday for you, and today we taking the time to thank Ingrid from Freddie’s Friends. Freddie’s Friends is a shop dedicated to sewing patterns, pillows, stuffies, fabric, and more! Ingrid is the pattern designer behind Freddie’s Friends and creates the most adorable, raw-edged stuffed creatures/pillows that are easy to follow and fun to sew. And who exactly is “Freddie”? We love the story behind the name, as “Freddie” is actually one of Ingrid’s many nicknames! :)

We have had the pleasure of working with Ingrid and Freddie’s Friends, as Ingrid has sewn some of Freddie’s Friends for us using our fabric. Some of our favorite are Olive the Owl (we are currently giving away this pattern on our blog!), Lee Lee the Lion, and Becky’s Flower…but they are all super sweet! We adore how cuddly and friendly they are…the perfect snuggle buddy for the little ones in your life. Below are some of ours!
