Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! We hope you are all having a wonderful day so far. We are getting excited for the long weekend as it will be Canadian Thanksgiving. Our tummies are rumbling just thinking about all the delicious food – pumpkin pie, turkey, cranberry sauce, and of course, mashed potatoes! YUM!!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring Quilters’ Digest, a fantastic full-color newspaper that is published four times a year, and is exclusively available in quilt shops. Quilters’ Digest is dedicated to providing up-to-date and forecasting information, inspiration, & ideas for the quilting hobbyists. Each issue features free patterns, readers’ quilt projects, fascinating fabric-related books, new fabric collections, & some other tips, tricks, and facts!

Readers can also contribute their thoughts and ideas to the column features, and provide feedback on what they would like to see next. It’s such a great source for up-to-date information for fabric enthusiasts, and best of all? It’s free!

Quilters’ Digest chose to feature our Girl Power II Collection in their latest issue (Issue #11), in their “New Fabric Collections” section, and we were so pleasantly surprised! It’s always fun seeing our collections being shared with fellow fabric enthusiasts, and seeing what everyone thinks. Quilters’ Digest wrote up a little feature on our Girl Power II collection saying that “this action-packed 14-piece collection will be a knock-out for the super hero girls in your life” – so cute, and we couldn’t agree more!

Thank you so much to Quilters’ Digest for the wonderful collection feature. We are so happy that you enjoy our Girl Power II Collection and have chosen to feature it in your latest issue. You can find Quilters’ Digest at most local quilt shops; you can find a store locator list HERE. You can also see our full Girl Power II Collection on our website. Have a super day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are doing well today. If you haven’t seen yesterday’s post, we are hosting another Winsday this week. We are giving away 11 Assorted Sheets of our hard felt on our Facebook Page this week. Be sure to check it out and enter!

Time to this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a fantastic fabric shop – Fabric Worm. Cynthia Mann, owner of Fabric Worm, has always been surrounded by craftiness, with her mum being an avid crafter and entrepreneur. As a little girl, she remembers picking out fabric with her mum to create matching dresses for her and her “Mandy and Jenny” dolls. Her mum has always been busy with her hands, making dough ornaments or sewing clothes, and is now an avid stamper and “Stampin’ Up” Representative. Inspired by mum, Cynthia also really loves to make handmade things but her choice is with pretty fabrics. She has two little boys and loves to make dinosaurs, robots and rocket ships, among other awesome boy things, for them!

Fabric Worm started online, as a small fabric Etsy Shop, and has now expanded to its own website and store. The definition of a ‘fabric worm’ is “a person devoted to fabric” and that is definitely the perfect representation of who they are, who we are, and who their followers are. Fabric Worm is also very active on social media, and has posted about their favorite collections. They have shared a couple of our collections (What a Gem, Let’s Go, and Playground), and the response from their fans was incredible!! It was so fun reading all the wonderful comments about our collections.

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a fantastic day so far. Today is National Comic Book Day, and as you may know, we kinda have a love affair with all things comics-related (Archie Comics, DC Comics, Marvel…). So, needless to say, you’ll probably find us bringing out all the oldies-but-goodies comic books from our archives…for a bit of nostalgic reading :)

Time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a wonderful fabric retailer Plush Addict, who has been such an awesome fabric support, all the way from the UK. Plush Addict came about from Kelly’s fabric addiction and desire to sew cute, little nappies for her little girl. She quickly realized how difficult, and expensive, it was to find pretty fabrics for the nappies…so she decided to do something about it! Thus, Plush Addict was born, and quickly blossomed from its starting days in 2012, and has grown into a successful family business. With its success, Kelly quickly expanded her inventory to not only nappy making supplies, but also quilting weight cottons, fashion fabrics, haberdashery, and lots more! Now Kelly has found her dream job, where she gets to do the thing that she loves and work with the people that she loves too! Kelly has always loved sewing, her mum had taught her at an early age, and is excited to teach her own little girl when she is older.

We are so honored to be one of Plush Addict’s favorite fabric companies! We love seeing them showcase our newest collections on their website and Facebook Page, and they have even featured our Free Projects for other sewing enthusiasts to use. They really love our Insulated Lunch Hamper, in Mint Condition, which we can definitely concur with! As well, they have chosen some of our collections as cover pages on their Facebook Page, such as Fairyville (above) and Petite Plume, and think our collections are looking oh-so pretty being featured! It was such a wonderful surprise to see!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a fantastic sewing lounge and fabric boutique in Grand Rapids, Michigan…Stitched Studio! Stitched Studio offers a wide range of modern fabric collections of medium-weight 100% cotton fabric, organic fabrics, knit, voile, flannel, linen, and denim. As well, you will find lots of other sewing goodies – designer patterns, books, hand embroidery designs, embellishments, and notions. Their Stitched Design Club is a super fun “Project Runway” style program for kids ages 8 and up, to inspire them to love sewing and encourage them to embrace their creative minds. We are so impressed by this wonderful fabric shop/sewing lounge for their amazing programs to encourage everyone to sew and learn! We are so grateful that they love our fabric selections, and that they have chosen our fabrics to showcase in their shop and use in their projects. We spot our Petite Plume Collection created into adorable little girl’s shorts (seen above!), and our Neon & On Collection for their pouch projects (below). We are so thankful to have been a part of inspiring creativity!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone’s day is going well so far; it’s been pretty gloomy and rainy here. I guess it’s safe to say that Fall is officially upon us…here’s to apple picking, hayrides, and everything PUMPKIN!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today on the blog, we are featuring a fantastic online fabric shop that is truly dedicated & inspired by all things fabric…Hawthorne Threads! Hawthorne Threads is not only an amazing place to search for your favorite fabrics online, but it is also a source for inspiration and creative influence. Hawthorne Threads is run by a husband and wife duo, Charlie and Lindsay, who are elementary school sweethearts now married with two toddlers. That truly is the epitome of true love and soul mates.

It all started 6 years ago when Lindsay opened a small Etsy Shop dedicated to selling fabric and her handmade gems. From there, her shop quickly grew into a successful business where Hawthorne Threads was officially born. Charlie joined the team to develop and maintain the official website, as a software designer by trade. Now, Hawthorne Threads has become a favorite place for many to find fresh and modern fabric collections! Charlie and Lindsay do so much more than run an online fabric shop – they showcase the fabrics in unique and fun theme-centric ways in their photoshoots and moodboards. Their slogan truly embodies their shop and who they are – “brought to you by two love birds who love fabric” – and that love is truly shown in their work.

We are so thrilled that Hawthorne Threads loves Camelot Fabrics! We absolutely adore the featured moodboards on their website and Facebook, showcasing our fabric collections in such awesome ways. We love how they style each fabric collection accordingly, adding to the overall feel of the specific designs. As well, with each fabric collection, they showcase our corresponding projects & quilt patterns from our Free Projects Program. Here are some of our current favorites…
