Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! We hope you all are having a lovely day. Have you entered our Elixir Giveaway yet? We want to know what your favorite Pantone 2015 color is. You can enter on our Facebook Page here :)

It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring Needle Travel, a fantastic fiber & fabric travel guide that is super useful for anyone who loves fabric. Needle Travel is a reference book of quilt & craft shops in the United States (we hope they expand!), complete with contact information and addresses. The shops are organized by state and are in alphabetical order, so you can easily find the shop nearest you (super convenient when you travel and want to peruse shops in an unknown area!). As well, Needle Travel features a legend to easily guide you on what each shop specifically carries (fabric, yarn, needlepoint, etc). The travel guide is updated each year with added shops & changed information, and they now offer an app for smartphone users!

We think the Needle Travel guide is a brilliant concept. We often get asked where our fabric is sold, so this is the perfect reference because many of the quilt shops who sell our fabrics are featured. And if you flip through the book, you may come across someone familiar…yup, us! ;) *sigh* our fabrics are looking oh-so pretty…

We really wanted to feature Needle Travel on the blog because we think it’s awesome! Compact, super convenient, and up-to-date – all the information you need on local quilt and craft shops in one place. You can check out their website and Facebook to see where you can find a copy. Have a great day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are having a lovely day so far. Today is Celebration of Life Day so we’re taking some time to write down some of our 2015 goals. We’re going to make this year the best one yet!

Time for our weekly Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our awesome pattern designers, Elizabeth Shepherd of E-Beth Designs. Elizabeth is a of lover all sewing and fabric, just like us, who decided to create an online fabric shop when she became a stay-at-home mommy. Having two degrees in pattern and apparel design, there is no doubt that Elizabeth adores creating projects and patterns, so it came natural for her to add “pattern shop” to her list. “E-Beth Designs” was born; the name influenced by her grandpa’s nickname for her. Her patterns are fun, with a modern flair, for both adults and kids! Lots of colorful and eye-catching patterns to be found at E-Beth Designs!

We found Elizabeth on Instagram, when she had shared a project with us featuring one of our collections. After perusing her website, we knew we had to work with this talented designer. We collaborated with her to create an adorable Little One’s Apron pattern. The apron features pretty ruffles at the bottom and POCKETS!! Yes, we get excited about anything even more when they have pockets haha. We chose to feature it in our Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham Collection. It’s just the perfect apron for your little helper in the kitchen!

You can find the full tutorial for our Little One’s Apron on our website. Thank you so much Elizabeth for the wonderful pattern for our Free Projects Program. We had so much fun collaborating with you, and cannot wait for what’s to come. You can find more from Elizabeth on her website, Etsy Shop, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, . Have an amazing day, everyone!

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our project designers, Sarah of Sarah Laws Made. Sarah is a modern quilter and artist from Portland, who absolutely adores all things creative and beautiful. She works from her home studio, and works in different mediums that allow her to let her creativity shine. She adores all things fresh and modern, which definitely shows in her project designs – screen-printing, quilting, and becoming a chocolatier are only some of her many talents. She shares her wonderful creations on her blog, Sarah Laws Made, and also on her Etsy Shop.

We were able to collaborate with the talented Sarah on a couple of quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program. We adored Sarah’s unique and funky style, and her quilt patterns definitely reflected that. Her first quilt, New Bohemian, is an intricate quilt design of squares and triangles that make up the coolest of patterns. We absolutely love how it looks with our Fresh Solids Collection, the bright colors going so well with one another.

The Diamond Emblem Quilt is definitely a favorite! The design is different and geometric, and looks so pretty with our Peacock Garden Collection. Both of these quilts would look fantastic in a modern bedroom or living room, either as a bed spread or even wall decor. How fabulous would these quilts look in a fun, boho-inspired room? Absolute gorgeousness!

We are so thrilled that we got to work with Sarah, and cannot wait for what’s to come in the future! At Camelot Fabrics, we have a unique style and think that Sarah’s designs are perfect representations of it. Thank you for the stunning quilt designs, Sarah!! You can find the free patterns for these projects on our website. You can also check out more from Sarah on her blog, Etsy, and Flickr. Have an inspired day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a great day thus far. Today we woke up to a breezy -26C, with a windchill of -36C. Hello frozen face, frozen legs, and frozen toes. Oh man, it was NOT pleasant to be walking out there.

But we’re warming things up with some love today, with our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our project designers, Cindy of Quilt Doodle Designs. Cindy has always been a sewing enthusiast, having been encouraged by her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She learnt about sewing and quilting as a small child, and her love for the craft has only blossomed into adulthood. Cindy has been doing some quilt sketches before a quilt retreat, when the idea to bring “sketches to life”, with creating her own patterns, came to life! She started Quilt Doodle Designs to offer her fun and whimsical quilt patterns and appliques to a wide array of skilled quilters. Cindy now offers a multitude of different quilt patterns, in correlation with her quilt blog adventures & BOMs.

We had the pleasure of working with Cindy to create a free, exclusive quilt pattern for our Free Projects Program. We absolutely adore her Flower Power Quilt because it is unique and soso pretty. We love the flower appliques, and think it looks wonderful with our Petite Plume Collection. Such a whimsical and creative quilt design! You can find the free pattern for Flower Power on our website here.

It’s time for our Thankful Thursday!! Soso much to be thankful for, and as this year is coming to an end, we have been reminiscing of all the wonderful people we have met and all the incredible partnerships we have been a part of. Thank you to each and every person who has filled our year with bunches of creativity, fun, excitement, and color!!

And speaking of amazing partnerships, we are thanking BurdaStyle today. We adore the BurdaStyle Magazine because it is a great source for all things sewing and fabric-related, with a modern twist…and lots of awesome fashion tidbits, which we appreciate. They know the latest and upcoming trends, and coordinate their articles and projects accordingly. It’s getting your seasonal source of fashion & trends AND fantastic patterns/tutorials/sewing tips all in one!! Yup, we’re big fans. In their latest magazine issue for Winter 2015, the theme was all about getting cozy, while staying chic, during the colder months. Their cover photo features the coolest of faux fur coats that we are just in love with! SO fab!
