Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a wonderful day!! Did you enter our #Winsday yet? Jackie McFee is hosting a Heavy Metal FQB Giveaway on her Pinterest, so head on over to enter!! :)
Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a gorgeous quilt pattern that Susan of Swirly Girls Design created for us, for our Free Projects Program. Her Flying High Quilt is a playful and modernistic quilt pattern, with equilateral triangles creating a neat “flying high” design(almost like geese!). The tiered triangles are a whimsical statement on a quilt design, and you can have fun with different color palettes & patterns.
The Kitten’s Meow was one of the fabric collections we chose to feature at this Spring’s Quilt Market, and we featured Flying High. Susan was able to quilt it for us too, and we even got to meet her at Quilt Market! What a pleasure! Susan is such a talented quilter and pattern designer, and we are so happy that we have gotten to work with her! The Flying High quilt was the perfect backdrop for our The Kitten’s Meow section at the booth – one of the crowd favorites too!
Thank you, Susan, for designing such a beautiful quilt pattern for our Free Projects Program, and for quilting it for us. You ROCK!! Make your own Flying High quilt here – with the free PDF printout! You can find more from Susan at her website here. And with that, have an amazing day!

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! I hope everyone’s day is going awesome-ly!! :)
It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our awesome quilt designers who recently launched a new quilting book. Jessie Kurtz of Harding Hill Designs, who designed our beautiful Crossroads Quilt, released her new book at Spring Quilt Market: One Block Remix – 10 Fresh Quilts from One Traditional Block.
The book, available in her Etsy Shop, features quilts that use a traditional 2-1/2″ strip block, but modernized into fun and different quilts, ranging from crib-sized to king. Such a brilliant concept, using the same block to make unique quilts. We were happy to send Jessie some fabric for her quilts, and love how they turned out!
The first is her Downtown Criss Cross Quilt, which features our Rise & Shine Collection. We love how the blues and yellows pop against the solid black! The second quilt featuring Camelot Fabrics is her Uptown Turnaround Quilt, with Wildflowers by Alisse Courter. Who knew equilateral triangles could be so fun!!
Congratulations on the book launch, Jessie! We are so glad to be a part of it. All of the quilt designs are just stunning!! You can find Jessie’s book on her Etsy Shop, as well as lots more from her on her blog, Facebook, and Instagram. Have a fabulous rest of the day!

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday!! I hope everyone is having a great day!! Jackie McFee relaunched her website yesterday with a makeover, and we are celebrating with a giveaway!! We’re giving away a Neon & On FQ Bundle on her Instagram, so be sure to head on over to enter (click me!).
It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a wonderful quilt and bag pattern design team, Krista and Shayla of Sassafras Lane Designs. Their name was inspired by the street name where their Orange Studio is located, and famous streets continue to inspire their quilt pattern names – so fun! They are BIG fans of lots of color and prints, especially anything orange (also, hence their studio name!). Their bag and quilt patterns are modern and fun, drawing inspiration from their friends & family, and everything around them.
They launched a new quilt pattern this week called Canyon Boulevard for Spring. A gorgeous and beginner-medium skilled quilt, the pattern comes with two versions – one with string-piecing and one with a background & assorted scraps. As well, the quilt pattern includes three sizes for versatility and convenience! The girls also gave a neat explanation behind the quilt, which you can read in their blog post. They chose to feature one of the quilts in our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham collection, and adore the contrasting colors with white. The triangle cutouts at the bottom are such a lovely detail, which makes this quilt all the more unique and cool!
Thank you for the fabric love, Krista and Shayla!! We are so in love with the quilt, and think it looks beautiful with Fruit Stand. You can find the pattern for Canyon Boulevard on their website (available in both PDF and paper versions), as well as their blog, Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram. And with that, have an awesome day!

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday!! I hope you all are having a wonderful day. This week, we are giving away our Gypsy Lane FQ Bundle on our Facebook Page – so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet! :)
Time for our Thankful Thursday! Getting back from Quilt Market, we have so many incredible projects featuring our fabric back in our studio – sewn by some really talented people. One of the projects we had sewn up was a super sweet Girls Ruffle Dress by The Cottage Mama, done by Lisa of Lisa Lisa Designs. This Girls Ruffle Dress is absolutely adorable, and the perfect choice for showcasing our Scented and Mixology collections.
Our delicious strawberry print worked perfectly with our midnight woven, and the bow and ruffles were the perfect touch of sweetness. Lisa also added some mini red buttons at the shoulders, which we love. She did such an incredible job with this dress, we were squealing at its cuteness when we received it in the box!
It was an absolute pleasure working with Lisa, and want to thank her for sewing the dress for us for QM. Lisa is also a pattern designer, with wonderful PDF patterns available at her shop – Lisa Lisa Designs. We definitely recommend checking out her site! You can also find the pattern for the Girls Ruffle Dress at The Cottage Mama. Such a sweet dress!! Have a lovely day, everyone!
