Who is you favorite Star Wars character? “My favorite character is Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi.  And I love that I can watch Star Wars with my whole family and see my kids fall in love with it as much as I did as a kid.”

Why do you love Star Wars? “The reason I love the Star Wars saga is because anyone can connect with it. Young children are introduced to an exciting space adventure in a galaxy far, far away, as well as colorful action scenes between the Empire and the Republic. Adults may find themselves identifying with the struggles of each character, Dark Side or Light. It is easy to find ones-self identifying with a character from the Star Wars universe because there is a complete spectrum of character types. Whether one feels as regal as Princess Leia or as romantically aloof as Han Solo, as cuddly as Chewbacca or as robotic as R2-D2, there’s someone for everyone. It’s hard to choose just one, but my all-time favorite character has got to be C-3PO. He is so effortlessly funny, and don’t get me started about always getting to wear GOLD!”

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Finally got around to doing some Spring cleaning, starting with my mess of a closet haha. The result? Two bags full of clothing to donate. Woo!

Time to start off another great week with our Moody Monday! Today we are featuring one of the collections we launched last week – our Star Wars: Immortals Collection. Star Wars: Immortals is our collection of bestselling Star Wars designs…back and ready to be created into awesome, new projects! Balmain’s Spring 2015 Collection was bold and beautiful. We love the drama that was embodied in this collection, focusing on the use of structure color-blocking instead of patterned fabric. Balmain definitely was inspired by the future and outer space, as the whole collection was very galaxy-inspired, with the caged details, choker necklaces, and cool cutouts. The graphic-feel of this collection was perfectly reminiscent of our Star Wars: Immortals Collection. We especially loved this black and blue number!

Starting off our Spring 2015 launch with a bang! Our Star Wars bestsellers are back, with our new Star Wars: Immortals Collection. Star Wars Immortals is a selection of fan favorite designs from all of our past SW collections…so all the ones you loved the most are here again!  16 to be exact, from your classic Star Wars logo prints to our character blocks. We’ve gotten so many requests for our Star Wars designs, we knew we had to do a relaunch! You can find the full Star Wars: Immortals Collection here.

Over the past collections, we’ve gotten to see so many of your incredible projects using our Star Wars collections. From beautiful dresses to fabulous bags and accessories, the projects for Star Wars enthusiasts is endless now! Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week. Ending our week with a rainy, gloomy day…but at least it’s above O°C, and the following week is supposed to be lovely :)

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a fantastic Easter project we found on Instagram, that Lish Dorset made. She created an awesome Easter basket, filled with yummy goodies, using our Star Wars Comic Strip fabric!! This basket would be the BEST kind of Easter basket for any Star Wars enthusiast, including the boy that she made it for. And our Star Wars patch-like design was a great choice, because even on its own, it’s fun and bright for a project.

Happy Friday! We hope you have been enjoying your week – it’s almost the weekend!! With our winter wonderland, we’re thinking of staying indoors with a good book and some hot cider by the fireplace this weekend. Ahh, bliss. We’ve been super into the holiday spirit, and are having a cookie exchange at the office today – sugar cookies, toffee & white chocolate cookies, ginger cookies,…oh yum! :)

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring some wonderful Star Wars pouches by Jolene Ko that we found on Instagram, and just had to share. Jolene loves to sew and create, and chooses fabric collections that are cool, unique, and on the quirky side. She shares her current creations on her Instagram, as well as her other social media sites, and is in the processing of developing her own products. We saw this zipper pouch (seen below) that Jolene tweaked from this tutorial, and thinks it is awesome!

Jolene chose our Angry Birds Star Wars and Star Wars Collections to create her zipper pouches, and we adore the designs that she chose. The pouch would be the perfect thing to organize a larger handbag, keep your receipts together, or for keeping your tablet safe. It would also make for a great gift! Such lovely pouches, Jolene!! :)
