Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday!! We cannot believe that we are nearing the end of March already. But, with the weather also starting to get warmer here, we hope this means that signs of Spring are near! We have been super inspired by all the bright colors and fun prints we have been on Pinterest, in stores, and in magazines!
BurdaStyle‘s Spring 2014 Issue is filled with lots of style inspiration to get you ready for the warmer weather! Along with endless Spring fashion tips and tricks throughout the magazine, the BurdaStyle magazine also includes full-sized fashion sewing pattern inserts for on-trend clothing pieces that you can create, to your taste. We especially adore the fabric 101 section in the magazine that focuses on everything you need to know about fabric, from selection to care and so much more!
Another great feature in the magazine is the Fabric Trends section, showcasing trends for the current season. Our Iconic Collection is perfect for the warmer weather, as the coral and navy hues in classic prints are very nautical and mod/60s-inspired – two huge trends for this season!
We love the combination of navy and coral – very refreshing, vibrant, and happy…which is just what Spring is to us! You can check out our Iconic Collection here for all the designs. We also have a couple of free projects featuring our Iconic Collection – Our Necktie and Conversation Hearts & Banner tutorials.
We also adored seeing popups of our fabric collections, such as Sweet Pea in the background of Denise’s editor’s note and this lovely floral pattern from Baby Dino! We collaborated with BurdaStyle by sending them our fabric collections, and it’s been super fun spotting our designs in their magazine, tutorials, and in the background of their webinairs!
Be sure to check out BurdaStyle’s Spring issue – there’s a ton of sewing & fashion ideas in it; you definitely will not be disappointed! You can also check out their website for even more inspiration to get your creative juices flowing for spring. Thanks for reading this week’s Thankful Thursday – Have a good rest of the day!

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a restful weekend. As well…Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!! May your day (and all the days forward) be filled with good health, good luck, and happiness – the three virtues that represent each leaf on a shamrock. We hope you find your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow today! :)
To start our week, we are going to share with you some fabric and color inspiration with today’s Moody Monday post. Today we are going to inspire you with our Neon & On by Jackie McFee collection. Just as the name implies, this is a stunning neon infused collection. Yup, you read right – a neon fabric collection!! Our Neon & On by Jackie McFee collection is a lovely array of neon pink, green, and yellow geometric prints against a white background to really make the colors pop. There is no shying away with this fabric collection, as the neon colors are very vibrant and luminous – exactly as you would imagine neon to be!
Our Neon & On by Jackie McFee collection is perfect for adding pops of color to your outfit with a neon bag, skirt, or headband while keeping the rest of the outfit neutral (unless you’re even more bold, then neon all the way!). As well, our neon fabric collection would look stunning as a pop of color in any room décor. This collection screams fun, effortless, and vivacious – and that’s just how you will feel with Neon & On by Jackie McFee. You can check out the full collection here!
Spring is just around the corner (at least according to our calendar!), so we have been excitedly filling our wardrobes with pretty things to wear for the upcoming season. Neon colors are always “in” for Spring and Summer, and a perfect way to break away from the many darker colors and layers of the colder months. After being bundled up for that long, bring on as much color as possible we say! One collection that we especially loved for Spring 2014 was Lulu Frost’s latest collection. Although Lulu Frost is an accessories brand, their NYFW display was a color-infused, show-stopping experience. Their latest Spring collection is called “Neon Baroque” and they grabbed inspiration from that for their show. The models were dressed in ethereal neon tulle skirts and crop tops, their décolletages and wrists saturated with stacks of the glistening jewels that also carried on the neon trend. You can check out the full collection here, as well as the Lulu Frost website for more!
Thank you so much for checking out this week’s Moody Monday! We hope we have inspired you. Wishing everyone a luck-filled day!

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday everyone! We hope you are all having a wonderful day. Welcome sweet treats, love notes, and heart-shaped {everything}….here’s to a fabulous February!! ♥
To start off this new month, and to begin the week, we’ve got another Moody Monday for you. A new month calls for new beginnings and fresh starts, inspiring us for today’s blog post. Today we are inspiring you with our Mint Condition by Jackie McFee moodboard. Mint Condition is a lovely mix of cool tones, the color leads being mint and grey.
This collection is soft, crisp, and serene…the perfect compliment to a house by the beach or lake (or one with a complementary theme…because alas, not everyone has the luxury of living by the water). The contiguous theme of mint and grey in this collection follows pretty designs of hexagons, dots, chevrons, and posies. This collection would make a stunning Spring dress, couch covers, or evening clutch – and everything else in between! You can check out the full collection here.
In keeping with the air of softness and prettiness, we’re very much inspired by Christopher Kane’s Spring 2014 RTW Collection today. Kane’s recent collection was an aura of black, lavender, and mint green however it was the mint green outfits that particularly stood out to us. The whole collection was very lady-like and feminine with the midi-length skirts, lace details, floral prints, and muted hues.
Even so, the fun cut-outs and sheer panels called for a more modern flair to the collection that we adored! The minty-hued outfits were very reminiscent of the elegant and classic vibe from our Mint Condition collection, very fresh and perfect for the upcoming Spring season. You can check out the full collection here! We hope you enjoyed today’s blog post and have been inspired. Until next time!
