Happy Monday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend, and is ready for another great week. It’s an exciting week for us here at Camelot Fabrics because it is our Summer 2014 Launch Week! We will be launching a new collection every day this week. We started off our launch with our newest license: our Paddington Bear Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Be sure to check out our blog post on it here, as well as all the beautiful designs and free projects on our website.

Time for this week’s Moody Monday! We are featuring one of our awesome licenses from Spring 2014 today, our Star Wars III Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Our past Star Wars collections were huge successes, and we’ve gotten positive feedback for another SW collection, so we listened and brought you Star Wars III. Just as action-packed and brilliant as the previous two, Star Wars III brings you all of your favorite characters and designs. The vintage-inspired skus gives this collection an upbeat and impacting newness to our previous Star Wars collections, but keeping with the blue, red, and black hues of course! This collection is for all of our avid Star Wars enthusiasts! We think this collection would make for a brilliant quilt for a fellow SW fan, or how about an awesome Star Wars-themed party? The vibrant hues and space-inspired ensembles in David Koma’s Spring 2014 RTW Collection remind us our Star Wars III Collection. The intense blue hues, intricate leather detailing, and origami-inspired cuts of this collection give off a very out-of-this-worldly feel, and remind us of modern versions of the Star Wars’ uniforms. The clean styling, geometric cutouts, and overall modern esthetic of David Koma’s Spring 2014 are so fresh and innovative, and we absolutely adore this whole collection. It’s time for this week’s Moody Monday! We’re featuring one of our incredible licenses this week…our Ultimate Spider-Man II Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. This one is for all of our Marvel and Spidie fans – a collection of the iconic red and blue colors that showcase our main man brilliantly. Encapsulated in vivacious blue and red, Ultimate Spider-Man II features Spidie to the rescue, and of course using his iconic spiderweb.  All of the designs in our Ultimate Spider-Man II collection are great for a little (or not so little) man’s bedroom – imagine some Spider-man pillows and curtains, finished by an awesome blue- and red-infused quilt…perfect for a little superhero-in-training!

We were inspired by the classic red and blue colors in our Ultimate Spider-Man II Collection, and Dior’s Fall 2014 RTW Collection encapsulates a very futuristic and superhero-esque feel. We absolutely adore that this collection is color-focused, using bright and bolder colors as opposed to letting patterns voice the collection. We love color-blocking, and Dior’s collection does this brilliantly. Of course, we were inspired by the red and blue outfit (Spider-Man colors!)…two colors that you wouldn’t necessary put together in an outfit, but look fantastic! It’s time for our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Love Letters by Jane Farnham for Camelot Fabrics Collection! There are oh-so many things that we love here at the Camelot Design Studio: pretty tulle skirts, adorable furry animals, glitter, all things ruffled…and of course, fabric! ;) You can also see more of what we love on our Pinterest Board, What We Love! Love Letters is all about just that, love, and showing the ones you love how much you appreciate them. This collection is a stunning palette of pink, navy, turquoise, and soft green hues decorated in kitsy hearts, twigs, and floral patterns. One awesome SKU in this collection is the Gift Tags, which can be used for gifting to all the loved ones to your heart’s content. The Alphabet design is a fun way to personalize a quilt or other project, either with a meaningful saying or name! Love Letters is the perfect collection for sharing those three little words with the ones you care about, in a very special way.

We are so inspired by our Love Letters by Jane Farnham Collection! One Spring RTW 2014 collection that especially encapsulates the essence of Love Letters is that of Burberry Prorsum’s! This collection is absolutely stunning with its mint, pink, and lavender color palette in soft chiffon and lace. What especially sparks our love affair with this collection is the bejewelled details that are so bold, but beautiful and eye-catching! We love a good statement piece or bit of sparkle!! Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? It’s official Summer now…Happy Summer!! Here’s to yummy BBQs, fun get-togethers, and warmer weather!! :)

It’s time to start off the first week of Summer with out Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Black & Tan Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Black & Tan is an absolutely beautiful, sleek collection of herringbone, houndstooth, chevron and animal print (leopard and zebra…how fun, right?) designs in a mix of black, white, and tan. This collection is strong, modern, and has an affluent appeal…it reminds us of all the business men and women, busily rushing to and from work on Wall Street, dressed in fitted dark suits, mahogany or black shoes, and matching briefcases. And then after work, taking a quick stop…into Barney’s of course!

Black & Tan is a great collection to mix into any current décor with its neutral colors and prints, and would make for the perfect throw quilt. How about a matching foldover clutch and full skirt? Yes, please! :) Be sure to check out the full Black & Tan collection here!

Didit Hediprasetyo’s Spring 2014 Couture Collection is the epitome of 50s-inspired and classic, in both silhouettes and patterns.  The collection features neutral black and brown tones but in some really fun prints – tweed, houndstooth, and leather! We absolutely adore the mix between black and tan, two strong colors that go really well together is paired properly. We love Didit Hediprasetyo’s twist on a retro jumpsuit in houndstooth, especially with the little glints of shimmer and leather detailing. This collection definitely reminds us of our Black & Tank collection, and we especially love this look…and this one! You can check out the full collection HERE! :)

It’s time to start off this week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Singin’ the Blues by Jackie McFee Collection!! Singin’ the Blues, as the name suggests, is a spectacular collection encompassing different shades of blue. The vibrant mix of cobalt blue, topaz, and mint colors reminds us of the ocean…we could definitely imagine a beach vacation somewhere near the Mediterranean Sea with these blue hues, and the stunning chevron, dot, medallion, and lattice designs. But if you can’t whisk yourself away to a beach vacation right now, you can create that same feel with a Mediterranean-inspired room. Imagine ocean-inspired curtains, elegant chevron pillows, and a matching modern, blue-hued quilt! Who really needs a getaway now…right? :) See the full collection here!

We love getting inspired by the runway trends for the upcoming season! One show that particularly is reminiscent of our Singin’ the Blues Collection is that of Chloe‘s Spring RTW line. The whole Chloe collection reminds us of a tropical, Mediterranean vacation…and the essentials you’d want to pack! Think loose, but still sleek, silhouettes in earthy tones, white, and blues in beautiful draping and flowy materials. So so pretty!
