Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having an amazing day so far. There are 15 more days till Christmas and there is still so much to do (eek!). As much as I adore the holidays, I always tend to plan to do too much (Pinterest…I’m looking at you!) and as a result, some things may be put to the last minute. DIY projects are perfect for those meaningful, yet fun and simple gifts to give to all your loved ones. We’ve got lots of free projects on our website and blog that you can use this holiday season; be sure to have a look around our sites for your favorites! We’ve got a stunning DIY project for you today, one that would be perfect for that friend who is always on trend. “If you really love Christmas, come on and let it snow.” – Billy Hack, Love Actually
Today’s free project is our Beaded Clutch Tutorial, using our Mint to Be collection. We also created this clutch in a couple of other collections, including our Penelope Collection! A clutch is a wardrobe essential; it can be used as a bag divider for all your loose products and then interchanged for nighttime. The style of this clutch is beautiful and elegant, especially with the scalloped edges and added beads for that extra touch of glam. If you’re thinking of making this clutch for a friend this Christmas, we definitely suggest getting some extra fabric…we’re pretty sure you’ll want to make one for yourself too. Let’s get sewing!
Now let’s get to the tutorial! Click here for more.

Hi everyone!
It’s Monday!! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. We are currently having a wonderful time at Quilt Market, day three!!
Let’s make this a great start to the week! With another Monday comes another Moody Monday. Today is the wonderful mix of chilly but sunny outside…such pretty autumn weather. Today’s weather has reminded us of one of our collections that is the perfect combination of yellow and gray color hues, the right juxtaposition of cool and bright. That’s right! Today’s Moody Monday is inspired by Gray Matters More by Jackie McFee.
Grazing the runways once again, we have found a noteworthy fashion collection that is very much in tune with Gray Matters. Calla’s RTW Fall 2013 Collection is an eccentric blend of bright pops of colors and neutrals, but it is the use of grays and yellows that really catches our eyes. The Fall 2013 Collection includes dresses, skirts, jackets, and more all infused with splashes of grays and yellows – we definitely approve! You can see the full collection by clicking here. This is one collection where gray really does matter…and so does yellow!
With the amass of positive feedback from Gray Matters, we had launched Gray Matters More by Jackie McFee in our new Fall 2013 collections. We are sure that all the Gray Matters fans will love this collection just as much. You can see the designs by clicking here. You can also follow Jackie on her blog, twitter, and Facebook!
Happy Sewing!

Hi everyone!!
It’s time for another How To’s Day! Halloween is quickly approaching (in 8 days!!), and we wanted to share with you a fun and easy DIY project that you can make in time for the spooky holiday. This DIY project is absolutely delightful and would be the perfect costume for any youngster (but it can be modified for adults too, of course!!).
This DIY Halloween tutorial will show you how to make a fantastic fox hat and tail using our fleece, which is perfect for this costume (psst: our Fleece and Flannel catalogues are out; you can check them out online here and here respectively!). What does the fox say? Who really knows…but if we did, we are sure they would approve of our DIY fox costume!
Now take a gander at these dashing foxes below. They are looking pretty adorable in their fox costumes…all ready to go Trick or Treating!!
Alright, let’s get sewing!! Click to see the tutorial after the jump

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a lovely Thursday thus far. On Thursdays we like to take the time to appreciate those who have lovingly supported us…and there truly are so many!!
One project that we have been proudly working on this year is our #SewSocial Project. This is the first year that we’ve launched it, so it’s still in its infancy, but with the resounding positive feedback from many, many people it has grown wonderfully in such a short period. Our #SewSocial Project partners up with Quilts for Kids, a fantastic organization that sews lap quilts for children with long-term illnesses and children of abuse. We feel so honored to be working with such an inspiring organization. We also have the privilege of working with Mary Fons, creator and founder of Quilty Magazine, who will be creating the lap quilts – a quick {for now!} thank you to her! We hope to continue our #SewSocial Project in the following years, to only grow more and comfort as many children in need as we can.
This year, we have partnered up with the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players (MPBP). They have been an integral part in helping our #SewSocial Project grow. On August 4th, 2013 we hosted a #SewSocial Launch Party in Orlando, Florida with the MPBP, Mary Fons, and the lovely ladies from Quilts with Kids. There was lots of yummy food, many laughs and happy tears, and a bustling of creativity and sewing…amongst beautiful company. It was such a lovely and successful event, for such an incredible cause.
