Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day so far. We are hosting another Winsday this week and are giving away our Beyond the Backyard FQB AND 2 Westcott Cutting Tools on our Facebook Page. Be sure to enter if you haven’t yet HERE!
It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our incredible pattern designers, Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs. Cheryl Brickey is a chemical engineer/patent agent by day and a quilter by night. Quilting and creating patterns involve a lot of technical skill, which in turn was the perfect hobby for Cheryl who also has a passion for sewing and fabrics. As a creative outlet, Cheryl was able to use her technical writing background to create her own quilting patterns as a pattern designer. Cheryl started her pattern company, Meadow Mist Designs, to sell her patterns on Etsy. Since then, her success in the quilting world has grown immensely. Her quilts have been featured in quilt magazines, blogs, and her patterns are very popular!
We had the privilege of working with Cheryl as one of our pattern designers for our Free Projects Program. Cheryl created the Cracker Lattice Quilt for us, which is a stunning, geometric quilt design that reflects her technical and engineering background perfectly. This modern quilt pattern features a lovely double lattice design with triangle and diamond elements and its simplicity works so well with a multitude of colors and fabrics, such as our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection. We absolutely love the versatility of this modern quilt! You can find the pattern for Cracker Lattice here.
We want to thank Cheryl for creating such a stunning quilt design for us, and for the wonderful partnership. We cannot wait for what’s still to come. You can find the free PDF of our Cracker Lattice Quilt on our website. As well, be sure to check out more from Cheryl on her blog, Etsy, and Facebook. Have a great one!

Time for another Fall 2014 Collection! We are launching two collections from Alisse Courter this season, the first that we shared is her Botanical Collection. Alisse’s second collection with Camelot Fabrics is Wildflowers, an absolutely stunning collection that encapsulates everything that is delicate and pretty. Wildflowers is the epitome of beautiful and girly, each print decorated in delicate florals and lovely leaf motifs. The color palette is soft and muted corals, chartreuse greens, and creams. We can picture an adorable little girls’ dress or spring shift dress in Wildflowers, complete with a flower crown. This collection is perfect for the ultimate girly-girl’s bedroom; tasseled pillows atop a daybed or fluttering tabbed curtains to complete the look.
We absolutely adore our Farm Stand Quilt by Anne Sullivan from Play Crafts in our Wildflowers by Alisse Courter Collection. How absolutely precious do the colors seamlessly work together in this quilt design, complimenting each pattern perfectly to create a stunning floral-infused quilt.
We hope you absolutely love our Wildflowers by Alisse Courter Collection. We would love to know what you think. You can check out all of our free projects on our website. Stay tuned for more!

Time for another Fall 2014 Collections launch! We are bringing you as close to the beach as we can with our Sea Life by Heather Rosas Collection. Sea Life brings to life everything we love most about the sea – playful sea creatures (starfish, fish, and friendly turtles), sea plants, and of course, a water-inspired greens and turquoise color palette. We can imagine an under-the-sea themed nursery or bedroom, complete with Sea Life star pillows and quilt. Our Wallace the Whale would look absolutely dashing in Sea Life. As well, this collection is perfect for any beach house…or beach-themed house decor!
We love all the prints in our Sea Life by Heather Rosas Collection that it fits perfectly with our Quilt Bars by Tamarinis Quilt. The large bars allow for all the adorable sea creatures to be upfront and center!
We hope you love our Sea Life by Heatehr Rosas Collection. We would love to know what you think, and what you would create with this sea-themed collection. Be sure to check our website for lots of proh\ject ideas. And stay tuned for more!

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday!! TGIF!! We hope everyone had a wonderful first week of October. If you haven’t entered our Felt Giveaway on our Facebook Page, be sure to head on over now. We are giving away 11 assorted sheets of our hard felt, and we are so excited for whoever wins this one. You can find lots of felt projects inspiration on our Pinterest.
It’s time to end another great with our Fan Friday!! Today we are featuring some wonderful projects featuring our What a Gem Collection, from Julie of Mackenzie Monroe. Mackenzie Monroe started from the need for a creative outlet. Interior designer by day, sewing enthusiast by night, Julie decided to channel her love for sewing in a fun way. She found a passion for sewing and fabrics in her seventh grade home economics class, a love that only sparked further in college and adulthood. Julie started Mackenzie Monroe in 2011, where she sells her beautiful creations – bags, totes, doggie accessories, and much more can be found at her shop. Julie also attends local craft markets where she also sells her lovely creations.
Julie loves fun and whimsical fabrics, and has chosen our What a Gem for some of her tote bags. They look so lovely, we just had to share them with you all!! She used our What a Gem by Allison Cole Collection for the main print, choosing to highlight the prettiness of the designs against a canvas accent fabric. We think they look oh-so pretty, and would be beautiful everyday bags to carry your essentials…
Thank you so much for the fabric love, Julie!! We absolutely adore the bags and are so happy that you love our What a Gem collection. You can check out all of Julie’s creations at her Etsy Shop and Facebook Page. Have a fantastic weekend, friends!
Happy Sewing!
