Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our project designers, Sarah of Sarah Laws Made. Sarah is a modern quilter and artist from Portland, who absolutely adores all things creative and beautiful. She works from her home studio, and works in different mediums that allow her to let her creativity shine. She adores all things fresh and modern, which definitely shows in her project designs – screen-printing, quilting, and becoming a chocolatier are only some of her many talents. She shares her wonderful creations on her blog, Sarah Laws Made, and also on her Etsy Shop.

We were able to collaborate with the talented Sarah on a couple of quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program. We adored Sarah’s unique and funky style, and her quilt patterns definitely reflected that. Her first quilt, New Bohemian, is an intricate quilt design of squares and triangles that make up the coolest of patterns. We absolutely love how it looks with our Fresh Solids Collection, the bright colors going so well with one another.

The Diamond Emblem Quilt is definitely a favorite! The design is different and geometric, and looks so pretty with our Peacock Garden Collection. Both of these quilts would look fantastic in a modern bedroom or living room, either as a bed spread or even wall decor. How fabulous would these quilts look in a fun, boho-inspired room? Absolute gorgeousness!

We are so thrilled that we got to work with Sarah, and cannot wait for what’s to come in the future! At Camelot Fabrics, we have a unique style and think that Sarah’s designs are perfect representations of it. Thank you for the stunning quilt designs, Sarah!! Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!! Oh, and Happy New Year! It is 2015…wait, what? Where did 2014 go? LOL. We had an amazing 2014, and are super excited for everything that is to come this year. It’s going to be a good one! :)

Starting off 2015 right with our Moody Monday, for your daily dose of inspiration. Today we are featuring our Marvel Comics II Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. This collection brings to life all of your fav9rite Marvel characters, from Spider-Man to Iron Man to the Hulk, and more! The colors in Marvel Comics II are bright and vivacious, the primary color scheme being blue, red, and grey. Deck out your little superhero-in-training’s bedroom with some Marvel Comics II pillows and coordinating tabbed curtains. And don’t forget about the little hero’s outfit. We love the idea of a Marvel Comics circle skirt or tie – and be sure to complete the look with a cape! ;) We also have lots of fun quilt patterns for all our fellow Marvel Comics enthusiasts!

We absolutely adored Versace’s Fall 2014 RTW Collection! The darker hues of burgundy and teal, followed by bright pops of color, gave this collection a very warm and romantic feel. There was definitely a military-esque look to the outfits, with the structured jackets, laced up boots, and button detailing. Even so, there was a femininity to this whole collection that was softened by the more delicate textures and silhouettes. We really loved this outfit, which was reminiscent our Marvel II Collection – strong and powerful! You can see the full collection here.

We hope you have been enjoying all our Fall 2014 Collections today! We know that there are so many Marvel Comics fans, who love using our fabric for their projects, we just had to bring you all more fabric love. Sharing more of our Fall 2014 Collections with you today! With the turn of autumn, our nights have unfortunately become longer. But, we’re ones to stay optimistic and like to look for the little pleasures in things, such as the illuminating moon and pretty stars that freckle the midnight sky. We’re launching our Fall 2014 Collections today, and hope you have been enjoying them so far. We’re bringing you some more prettiness with our Elixir by Camelot Design Studio Collection. Elixir is mystic and ethereal, with beautiful modern geometric patterns in rich blues, mint, and Pantone’s 2014 color of the year…radiant orchid. Such an interesting combination of colors, but oh-so magical together, Elixir brings mystery and a soft elegance to any project. Whether it be our foldover wedding clutch or statement pillows, they will be eye-catching, bold, and on-trend.

We absolutely love how our Elixir Collection looks with our Twist on Tradition Quilt by The Quilted Button. The “twisted” pieces of this quilt create a unique pattern that perfectly showcase the colors and prints in Elixir. Such a stunner!
