Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. Have you been keeping up with the blog with week? We’ve been launching our Summer 2015 collections all of this week.

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring our wonderful friends at May Arts Ribbon, whom we have been collaborating with on some upcoming blog projects. May Arts Ribbon is a ribbon company, who specialize in wonderful quality ribbons of all sorts. Starting out as a high-quality silk flowers company, they soon realized how popular their ribbons were among their customers. And thus, they slowly graduated to being a ribbon wholesaler. From decorative ribbons for crafting, lace ribbons, 100% silk ribbon, and trims & embellishments – May Arts’ ribbon are one of the best! They have endless designs, colors, and types of ribbon that you are bound to find the right one for your next project.

One of the projects they created with our Folklore Collection was a tablet case. The DIY Tablet Case is designed like a book, with a top cover to protect your tablet screen. As well, it features a pocket in the front cover for convenience, and elasticized ribbon to securely hold the tablet in place. Jenifer of Stitch, Cute, and Create was the project designer, and used coordinating red ribbon and trim to decorate the tablet case. Our favorite part was that Jenifer cut out a little birdie and flower design from the fabric, and used them to decorate the front. Such a creative idea!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. It’s National High Five Day, so here’s a high five from us haha! *virtual high five*

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday on the blog. Today we are featuring one of our favorite ribbon enthusiasts, May Arts Ribbon! May Arts Ribbon started out in the early 80s in Riverside, Connecticut, and is a family-owned and operated company. They started out by producing high-quality silk flowers that were decorated with pretty ribbons. The ribbons became such a big hit, that May Arts eventually became a dedicated ribbon wholesaler. They have now expanded their selection of beautiful ribbons, from lace to 100% silk to other fun trims & embellishments. We especially adore their pom-poms and scalloped trim! From their solid, bright colors to their funky patterns, we are such fans of May Arts’ ribbon selection – they’re great to pair with our fabric projects (…we’ll be sharing some with you soon!).

We decided to do a fun, crafty swap with May Arts Ribbon! They recently posted a lovely Vintage Style Apron tutorial, featuring their ribbon and our Folklore Collection – and we adore it! Charlene Driggs created this easy apron tutorial for the May Arts Ribbon blog, a project that any leveled sewer could master and have fun with. The hardest part comes from choosing a favorite fabric and ribbon, and from there – a bit of sewing and you’re done! In the end, you’ll have a super cute apron – with an adorable bow detail – for your next cooking or baking adventure. Love this one! You can find the full, free tutorial on their blog.

Thanks so much, May Arts Ribbon, for the awesome tutorial and for sharing. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned with our new ribbon! Have an awesome day, everyone. I know I will…psst. it’s my birthday ;) hehe
