It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our fantastically talented quilt designers, Marta of From Marta With Love! Marta has always been a sewing enthusiast, but she found her true passion with quilting in 2010. A friend had shown her how to piece a quilt block, and from there, she began reading books and blogs on quilting…and found her quilting calling! From there, she started quilting more and created her blog, From Marta With Love, as a way to document her sewing adventures. Her blog is dedicated to both quilts and crafts, and she shares sewing tutorials for quilts and bags, patterns, giveaways, and more. From Marta With Love is bright, colorful, creative, and fresh…and that’s what attracted us to the blog!

We had the pleasure of working with Marta on a quilt design for our Free Projects Program! We loved Marta’s modern design esthetic and knew she would be a wonderful addition to our pattern designers family. Marta created her Chevrons Arrow Quilt for us, and boy is it a stunner!! We absolutely love the perpendicular alignment of the chevrons in this quilt design, and the cleanness of the rest of the space. Marta used our Singin’ the Blues by Jackie McFee Collection from our Spring 2014 lines, with our Au Natural Fresh Solid, and it is soso beautiful. We want to thank Marta for creating a gorgeous quilt design for us. We absolutely loved working with you, and hope to continue a wonderful partnership in the future. It’s time for our weekly What We Love post!! With Summer officially coming this weekend, we are definitely inspired by all things bright, fun, and happy! We are starting a new feature on our blog called “What We Love“. Each week, the Camelot Design Studio will be sharing with all of you what we have enjoyed, loved, and been inspired by most. It will be a great way for you all to get to know us a bit better, and hopefully can inspire you too. Day TWO of our Spring 2014 Collections Launch Week! Ohhh there are soo many more delicious colors and prints to come. Today we are sharing two of Jane Farnham’s collections. It’s a Jane Farnham day! First up is…Love Letters!

Brimming with stunning pastel colors, hearts, and soft florals…Love Letters is the perfect collection to tell that special someone how much you love them. The ethereal geranium, blues, and greens captivate femininity and sweetness…and remind us of blooming, freshly cut flowers. This collection includes fabric tags that you can use to finish a project or to personalize a gift, with messages such as “with love” and “to, from”. Those were the best, being excited to receive something in the post. Love Letters brings us back to those nostalgic, “good ol’ days” – take a little bit more time to personalize a message to the ones you love, and it will mean so much more. Love Letters is the epitome of ‘pretty’, and we think a sweetheart, tea dress or little clutch with this collection would be the perfect outfit for a Spring party!
