Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a fantastic day. We’ve been launching our Summer 2015 collections this week, so be sure to check them out here. It’s also Chocolate Day... Don’t need to give us another reason to have our daily dose of chocolate ;)

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are sharing a tutorial for a stunning Quilted Bucket Bag, created by Marion of Made by Marion. With summertime, it’s also official vacation season! Whether it be a vacation to the tropics, a fun road trip, or even a day adventure to an undiscovered area – the quilted bucket bag will be your new, favorite companion. The bag is quite large, and has a comfortable strap, so you can put all of your favorite essentials into one – great as a carry-on or weekender bag!

The drawstring closure allows for you to easily find any loose items in your bag, such as a passport or pair of sunnies. The color blocking and quilt details add to this modern bucket bag, and it looks fantastic with our Zoey Collection. The taupe prints keep the bag fresh and neutral, but the coral interior is such a fun pop of color!

Ending another wonderful week with our Fan Friday. We LOVE when you tag us on Instagram, whether it be your adoration for one of our fabric collections or sharing a beautiful new project. An – lovely mother of 3, fabric addict, and lilac hair rocker – enjoys sewing adorable dresses and skirts for her girls. But of course, she also sews for herself!

She sewed the Lilou Dress, from Tilly and the Buttons’ “Love at First Stitch” book. The dress features a fitted bodice, thicker straps, and a full skirt – the perfect vintage/50s-inspired outfit. An chose to use our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection, and we adore how the navy and mustard leaf-printed design looks as a full dress. The muted colours allow for a playful, yet classy look. An paired her dress with a mustard cardigan, and she is looking super stylish!

Time for this week’s What We Love ♥ New month, new adventures… in the midst of summer, we’re trying to do/try/experience/love/learn new things. Whether it be a recipe you’ve pinned but never got the chance to make, or a different experience such as skydiving (woosh!) or going to a ceramics class. Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a gorgeous quilt pattern designed by Nicole Maroon of The Girl Who Quilts. The Diamonds Quilt is a lovely quilt pattern, featuring columns of octagon and diamond shapes. Each block features a different pattern, and the outline allows for a beautiful gradient effect of colors.

We love the idea of sticking to a synonymous color palette, such as the sea-inspired blue and green hues of our Zoey collection, so as to keep a harmonious look. We chose the grey SKUs from Zoey to create the bordered ombre effect; dark to light to dark again, and LOVE how it turned out. Nicole of The Girl Who Quilts designed this modern quilt pattern for us, and also quilted it for our Spring Quilt Market booth. It is such a pretty pattern digitally, but seeing it in person – it is a stunner! 

We want to thank Nicole for designing such a beautiful quilt design, and for quilting it for us for Quilt Market. You are amazing!!
