Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a terrific day – we are having a gloomy thunderstorm here, unfortunately, but have our pretty fabric collections to brighten our day in the office. Be sure to check out our latest How To’s Day on the blog; we shared our adorable Endearing Elephants Tutorial by Sweetbriar Sister for Camelot Fabrics that are sure to warm your hearts :)
It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday. Today we are featuring one of our incredibly talented and wonderful pattern designers, Anne Sullivan of Play Crafts. Play Crafts is a one-stop destination for crafters and quilters of all skill-levels, a place where sewing enthusiasts can find the necessary tools dedicated to crafters. The goal of Play Crafts is to inspire everyone’s creativity and inner (and not-so-inner) artist! Play Craft provides crafters with fun patterns and tutorials that are easy-to-follow and beautiful, as well as a wonderful “Quilt Design a Day” (QDAD) group that allows quilters to showcase their latest quilt designs/creations influenced by different color combinations. Such a fantastic way for quilters to let their imaginations run wild.
Play Crafts is run by some very crafty people too: Anne Sullivan, Gillian Smith, and Jane Pinckard. Anne Sullivan, the Creative Director, is a creative, quilter, pattern designer, artist, and has a PhD in computer science. We had the privilege of partnering with Anne, who created some very modern and beautiful quilt designs for us. We absolutely love Anne’s clean, yet playful design style and are so thrilled with the patterns she created for our Free Projects Program. The Farm Stand Quilt is a pretty and simplistic design that showcases a fabric collection perfectly in its vertical cascade. We love how versatile this design is; we can create an ombre effect or interchange patterns of similar color palettes to create a fun look! We used Farm Stand to showcase our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham for Camelot Fabrics Collection, and we absolutely love it!
You can download the free PDF for the Fruit Stand Quilt on our website. Be sure to check out Play Crafts for lots more – on their website, Twitter, Facebook, flickr, and Instagram. They have so much creative and innovative content, that you are sure to get inspired!! Thank you Play Craft and Anne for an amazing quilt pattern. There’s more to come as well, so stay tuned. Have a great day, everyone! :)

It’s time for our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Love Letters by Jane Farnham for Camelot Fabrics Collection! There are oh-so many things that we love here at the Camelot Design Studio: pretty tulle skirts, adorable furry animals, glitter, all things ruffled…and of course, fabric! ;) You can also see more of what we love on our Pinterest Board, What We Love! Love Letters is all about just that, love, and showing the ones you love how much you appreciate them. This collection is a stunning palette of pink, navy, turquoise, and soft green hues decorated in kitsy hearts, twigs, and floral patterns. One awesome SKU in this collection is the Gift Tags, which can be used for gifting to all the loved ones to your heart’s content. The Alphabet design is a fun way to personalize a quilt or other project, either with a meaningful saying or name! Love Letters is the perfect collection for sharing those three little words with the ones you care about, in a very special way.
We are so inspired by our Love Letters by Jane Farnham Collection! One Spring RTW 2014 collection that especially encapsulates the essence of Love Letters is that of Burberry Prorsum’s! This collection is absolutely stunning with its mint, pink, and lavender color palette in soft chiffon and lace. What especially sparks our love affair with this collection is the bejewelled details that are so bold, but beautiful and eye-catching! We love a good statement piece or bit of sparkle!! We especially love this ensemble, as well as this one. So delicate and so pretty! Be sure to check out the full Burberry Prorsum Collection HERE!
Thanks for reading this week’s Moody Monday! Have a beautiful rest of the day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!! We hope everyone had a fantastic, restful weekend. We are SO ready to kick-off the first week of June. Wow, we can’t believe it’s June already – it feels like May has just come and gone…but that means we are getting closer to Summer!! :) Have you entered our Aurifil x Camelot Fabrics Giveaway yet? Be sure to ENTER for your chance to win a Penelope FQ Bundle and a coordinating Aurifil 12 Large Spool Case!!
Let’s start off this week with our Moody Monday! Today we are sharing a stunning and zesty collection by Jane Farnham for Spring 2014…Peacock Garden! This collection is bright and vibrant with its fun chartreuse, spearmint, royal blue, and pink color palette. And just as the name suggests, Peacock Garden includes pretty peacock-inspired designs with dainty peacock feathers and plumage décor. The colors and flora designs give this collection a very happy and playful feel, but at the same time very feminine and soft. We can imagine a lovely Farmer’s Market tote with Peacock Garden, as well as a fun summertime dress. This collection would be absolutely stunning as a quilt too!
For Spring, you can never go wrong with florals or pastel colors! And Jenny Packham’s Spring 2014 Collection suggests just that. Enthralled in pretty, muted shades of pinks, blues, and greens (with the fun pop of chartreuse!) this collection reminds us of our Peacock Garden by Jane Farnham collection. We absolutely adore the mix of tones, the fluttering chiffons, and the incredible beaded work that Jenny used to create a fantastic, Edwardian-inspired fashion collection. We especially love this dress, which captures the wonderful flora essence of Peacock Garden. You can see the full collection here!
Be sure to check out our Peacock Garden by Jane Farnham collection, and let us know which design is your favorite. We hope we had inspired you today with our Moody Monday. Have a great day! :)

Time for another Spring 2014 Collection launch from the wonderful Jane Farnham!! Today we are sharing with you…Peacock Garden! We are so ready for Spring weather, and are so thrilled that it is slowly starting to feel as such here. Peacock Garden reminds us of all things we love most about the springtime – the fresh colors, the lovely colors, and the renewal of all things.
Peacock Garden is a whimsical, crisp collection of blues, greens, and rose. The prints are girly and playful, with the mix of pretty floral patterns and peacock feathers, all encapsulating an ethereal and majestic feel. Peacocks are absolutely stunning animals to look at, and we absolutely adore the play on their colors and royalty in this collection. We can imagine some sweet half-circle skirts for a little girl or a feathered tote bag in the warm blues and greens of Peacock Garden. What this collection says to us is that it’s time to plan a peacock-themed garden party, complete with peacock straws, party sandwiches, and games!!
Be sure to check out all of our free projects featuring Peacock Garden here, here, here, here, here, and here. You see the full collection and all the playful prints here. We really hope you enjoy both of Jane Farnham’s collections for our Spring 2014 Collections – We have got more beautiful fabrics coming your way tomorrow, so stay tuned for more! :)
