It’s also time to announce this week’s Winsday winner! Last week we hosted our Imaginarium FQ Bundle Giveaway on our Facebook Page, and the responses were so overwhelmingly sweet and wonderful. We are so happy that everyone loves the colors and prints of our Imaginarium collection. We asked you what you would create with this adorable collection, and we had such a blast reading all of your ideas. From baby quilts to advent calendars, we loved them all. Our followers truly are so creative! But of course, we can only choose one winner…and the lucky winner of our Imaginarium FQB is…

Happy Wednesday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic day. Yesterday was National Dessert Day, and we may or may not currently have pumpkin pie in the office from Thanksgiving Day leftovers…Yum! We may need to have a well deserved slice after this post. Makes sense, right? haha!

Time for our weekly Winsday!! This week we are hosting a giveaway on our Facebook Page. The prize? An FQ bundle of our lovely Imaginarium Collection! Happy Friday!! We hope you are all having an extraordinary day!! It’s the first day of Quilt Market – if you’re there, be sure to stop by Booth #1425 and check out all our latest collections/projects. We would love to see you! As well, we are hosting a total of FOUR Quilt Market Giveaways, have launched our Spring 2014 Collections all this week, and are hosting a collaborative chalkboard fabric & chalk marker giveaway with Marvy®/Uchida (enter here!). Phew!! What an exciting, but busy week! A long weekend is well deserved ;)

We are finishing off our full week with our Fan Friday, and thought that it would be great to share something adorable. Zura M. from Sew Retro Chic made an Imaginarium Quilt for her nephew, Afeeq, and oh my goodness – it is just too precious!! Of course we had to share a picture of the little guy too, because he just makes us smile…too much cuteness in one picture!! :)

The Imaginarium Quilt features the wonderful turquoise, yellow, and grey colorway from our Imaginarium collection, making it the perfect quilt for a baby boy. The soft hues, along with the fun pinwheel design on this quilt, really compliment one another perfectly and makes this quilt super comforting and sweet. Some words from Zura: “This quilt is a labor of love. I made 9 pinwheel blocks, sashed & bodered. But I machine stitched the binding because at that time my sister in law was already in labor! Lucky I made it in time for this sweet boy to enjoy….” We really hope Afeeq loves his Imaginarium quilt as much as we do!

Thank you SO much, Zura, for sharing your Imaginarium Quilt with us! It is absolutely beautiful, and we really hope Afeeq has been enjoying snuggling with it. Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday!! We hope everyone is having an excellent day! We are super excited for Mother’s Day weekend: Moms (and future moms!), what would be your ideal day of relaxation? :) We would love to know!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of wonderfully kind and talented quilt designers, Larene Smith of The Quilted Button! Larene began her for sewing at a very young age – when her mum warned her not to touch her sewing machine, as a child, Larene only became even more intrigued. As she got older, she asked her mum to teach her to make a quilt and learnt to a 9 patch quilt. From there, Larene’s love for sewing, quilting, and fabric only grew!

But it was her connection with the Material Possessions Quilt Shop that really got her started. They saw the creative spark in Larene – her designs were unique and she had a lot of different techniques, and she should be teaching a class! She met with Wendy, and started off with her first teaching class. From there, Larene has continued her passion for quilting, creating so many beautiful quilt patterns, and of course teaching!

We had the privilege of partnering with Larene, who has created some really lovely quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program. All of her patterns are easy to follow and concise, and it has been an absolutely pleasure working with Larene thus far. She has been very guiding and sweet to us, as we are still learning new things everyday about the quilting and pattern world! Some of Larene’s quilt patterns include Border Blast, Diamond Sparkle, and Whimsical…and there are more to come!

Aren’t these quilt designs just stunning? We are so happy to have found Larene and are so ecstatic for what’s to come!! And yes, there may possibly be a physical quilt coming very soon ;) Stay tuned! Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! We hope you are all having a great end to the week. We are in our first week of March already! This weekend is Spring Forward…not looking forward to waking up an “extra” hour earlier on Sunday but very happy about more sunshine! Spring shouldn’t get too far along now, we hope! :)

Today is our Fan Friday blog post, and we are sharing a fun project with you all today. Fellow Canadian, Tiffany Skogan, is a stay-at-home mommy with a new baby boy and an avid crafter. She loves to create her own sewing projects, more specifically baby-inspired, and started to make these projects for herself and friends! All of her projects are soft and cuddly, and things that she uses on an everyday basis – but with an adorable twist!

Having gotten lots of positive feedback from her friends, she decided to open up a small Etsy Shop (BugInARugBC) to showcase her items around the world. Sewing and creating is a hobby and a passion for Tiffany, and it definitely shows in all the things she makes. She has now expanded her list of items to baby blankets, hooded towels, crayon rolls, strap covers, and lots of other baby essential items!

Tiffany absolutely adores our Imaginarium Collection, and used it for lots of her baby essential items. She shared some her favorites with us, and we definitely had to share them with all of you! We adore the strap covers and baby blanket with our Imaginarium fabric!!
