I just love this week’s Moody Monday fabric collection!
Captivate by Alisse Courter is such a beautiful collection that sets the tone for a very feminine and romantic project! The rich plum accent fabrics blend well with the soft pink and taupe fabrics. There are so many ways we can combine these together.

Did you catch the first collection launch for our Summer 2015 Collections Week? Check out our last post, talking about our exciting Guardians of the Galaxy Collection! Along with our new collections, we’re also introducing two new Fresh Solid colors: Pink Chai and Carbon.
First up – Pink Chai – a gorgeous muted pink color, that reminds us of a soft strawberry sorbet. We have Pink Chai in our fresh solids, as well as in two our Mixology prints: Tonic and Woven. Additionally, we now have a darker, more inky gray color in the mix – Carbon. It is also available as a fresh solid, and two of our Mixology prints: Herringbone and Honeycomb.
Such luscious colors!! They work well with their coordinating collections, as well as on their own – we love mixing our Mixology and Fresh Solids together to create modern, clean quilts. Stay tuned for tomorrow…two more collection launches are coming your way!

Hi everyone,
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We had quite the blizzard over the weekend, so our days were spent cozied up indoors with apple crumble and movie classics. No complaints though! :) Also – we are launching our Winter 2015 Collections this week! If you haven’t seen Zoey (our first collection!) yet, click HERE.
Time for this week’s Moody Monday! Today we are featuring our newest additions to our collections, our Mixology Collections – the perfect, blending fabrics to use with our other collections. Mixology features four different prints – our Herringbone Collection, our Tonic Collection, our Woven Collection, and our Honeycomb Collection. The collections are also featured in our Fresh Solids colors, so they are great for mixing with our other collections for projects, such as quilts and apparel, but they also look beautiful on their own.
Hugo Boss’ Spring 2015 Collection was sleek and classic; the epitome of the working woman’s closet essentials. From fitted pencil skirts to classic trench coats to proper button downs to elegant dresses, the color palette of Boss’ collection was neutral – soft blues, grey, and black were prominent. We absolutely adored Boss’ mix of patterns, while still keeping a similar color palette throughout. One outfit that especially sparked some interest was this one – we absolutely loved the herringbone pencil skirt, reminiscent of this print from our Mixology – Herringbone Collection.
We hope we have inspired you with our Moody Monday!! We’d love to know what you think. Have a marvelous rest of the day, everyone!
Happy Sewing!

New Year, New Projects! It’s time to kick-start 2015 with our first How To’s Day. Today we are sharing our DIY Essentials Case – the perfect little companion for all your traveling and organizing needs. This awesome essentials case is perfect for traveling – put all your most used items into one pouch for easy access. So convenient! As well, our Essentials Case makes for a fantastic pencil case or cosmetics case, with its convenient size and soft shape. It also makes for a great case for holding all your beloved sewing supplies. And, not such a fan of daily household items looking “out of place” in your decor? We also love the idea of using our case to cover a baby wipes container or a stack of tissues!
