Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. And just in case you’re looking for an excuse to eat some sweet stuff today (we always are haha ;)), it’s National Strawberry Parfait Day! Yummm.

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our gorgeous quilt patterns, designed by Marta of From Marta With Love. Marta’s modern and fun quilt pattern features boho-inspired arrow details that go both vertically and horizontally. It creates such a cool look, while keeping the rest of the quilt neutral, to really make the arrow designs pop. This quilt pattern would work with a multitude of different fabric collections, but we just love it in our Gypsy Lane by Jane Farnham collection.

One of our display sections at this Spring’s Quilt Market was Gypsy Lane. We wanted a standout quilt design to feature this bold and whimsical collection, and knew Chevron Arrows was the winner. Another of our pattern designers Nikki Maroon of The Quilt Who Quilts and her mum, were able to quilt it for us, and did an incredible job. Just look at the quilting work on this quilt? We were speechless when we saw it in person. Absolutely stunning.

Thank you so much, Nikki and mom, for helping us out for Quilt Market. We are so in love with our Chevron Arrows Quilt, and are so blessed to work with such incredibly, talented people. Be sure to check out more from Nikki on her blog. She is such a quilting pro. If you’d like to make your own Chevron Arrows, it’s also available as a free pattern on our website. And with that, have an awesome day!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you all are having a fantastic day. It’s the last day to enter Jackie McFee’s Heavy Metal Giveaway, so be sure to enter here!!

Time for this week’s How To’s Day!! Today we are sharing a superrr fun Pom-Pom Beach Cover-up tutorial, designed by Marion of Made by Marion. It’s officially beach season now, so we were inspired to make something that we could use for the beach or pool.

There’s nothing like spending the day soaking up the sun with a good book, and then going for a relaxing swim. And then after your fun-in-the-sun day, take yourself from beach to dinner with our stylish pom-pom cover-up. Our lightweight double gauze fabric is airy and soft, so it won’t be uncomfortable if your bathing suit is still damp – and it’s perfect for the hot weather! Our Magnolia double gauze print makes for a very pretty tunic, especially with the pom-pom details. Add some shorts, a cami, a necklace or a belt, and you’ve also got yourself a casual dinner top!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an amazing day!!

For today’s How To’s Day, we are featuring one of our exclusive quilt patterns from our Free Projects Program. The Butterfly Quilt was created by the incredibly talented Melissa Stramel, of Lilac Lane Patterns. Melissa has now expanded her patterns to clothing and accessories, for women and little girls…and their dollies! But, we are obsessed with her Butterfly Quilt, which gives a unique flair to a quilt pattern. The little triangles throughout the pattern look like butterflies, which may seem complicated, but in the end – a super neat effect.

We love a contrast between the butterflies and the background, so that the butterflies really pop! Imagine a white quilt with solid colored butterflies?! That would be so so coooool. We decided to feature the Butterfly Quilt at our booth for Spring Quilt Market, in our popular Botanical room. The quilt displayed as a backdrop to the room (and because of its size, was a real showstopper!). It really made everything come together.

Vicki Reubel of Orchid Owl Quilts did such an incredible job quilting the Butterfly Quilt. We received so many compliments on the design and quilt work – so thank you to both Melissa and Vicki! You both rock!! Now… want to make your own Butterfly Quilt? Click MORE to see the full instructions.

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you are all having a fabulous day!! Today is National Oatmeal Cookie Day…YUM! A soft oatmeal, chocolate chip (with walnuts & shredded coconut, if I’m feelin’ fancy haha) is my ideal cookie. And because it’s a national holiday, it’s only right that I eat one (or three), right? ;)

It’s Thursday, so you know what that means on the blog. It’s Thankful Thursday time!! Today we are featuring one of our pattern designers, Veronica Koh Eischeid of Veronica Made, Veronica designed a fabulous pillow pattern for us called Modern Cross. The pillow features a cool star-esque pattern in the middle – keeping it the focal point of the design. Mixing and matching different colours and patterns is what makes this pillow fun, and keeping the background neutral makes it pop! It is available as a free pattern on our website here.

One of the collections we will be showcasing at Spring Quilt Market is our Gypsy Lane by Jane Farnham Collection, and thought the Modern Cross pillow would look fabulous with it. And we were definitely not wrong! The Modern Cross pillow’s look matches perfectly with our boho-inspired collection, and would look really good against a white couch. Veronica did such an awesome job bringing her Modern Cross pillow to life.

We want to thank Veronica for creating such a stunning pillow design for us, and for making it for us for Quilt Market. It’s going to look fab. You can find the PDF printout for Modern Cross on our website. Find more from Veronica at her blog and Etsy Shop. Have a lovely day!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. It’s National High Five Day, so here’s a high five from us haha! *virtual high five*

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday on the blog. Today we are featuring one of our favorite ribbon enthusiasts, May Arts Ribbon! May Arts Ribbon started out in the early 80s in Riverside, Connecticut, and is a family-owned and operated company. They started out by producing high-quality silk flowers that were decorated with pretty ribbons. The ribbons became such a big hit, that May Arts eventually became a dedicated ribbon wholesaler. They have now expanded their selection of beautiful ribbons, from lace to 100% silk to other fun trims & embellishments. We especially adore their pom-poms and scalloped trim! From their solid, bright colors to their funky patterns, we are such fans of May Arts’ ribbon selection – they’re great to pair with our fabric projects (…we’ll be sharing some with you soon!).

We decided to do a fun, crafty swap with May Arts Ribbon! They recently posted a lovely Vintage Style Apron tutorial, featuring their ribbon and our Folklore Collection – and we adore it! Charlene Driggs created this easy apron tutorial for the May Arts Ribbon blog, a project that any leveled sewer could master and have fun with. The hardest part comes from choosing a favorite fabric and ribbon, and from there – a bit of sewing and you’re done! In the end, you’ll have a super cute apron – with an adorable bow detail – for your next cooking or baking adventure. Love this one! You can find the full, free tutorial on their blog.

How pretty, right? :) You can find all of your ribbon and trim needs at May Arts Ribbon. As well, be sure to find more fun projects on their blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Thanks so much, May Arts Ribbon, for the awesome tutorial and for sharing. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned with our new ribbon! Have an awesome day, everyone. I know I will…psst. it’s my birthday ;) hehe
