We have made many projects with the Rose Quartz & Serenity collection for the Spring Quilt Market not to mention the ties and handkerchiefs that look stunning (You have to look at the picture Fave Quilts took). So it is difficult to pick out just one project to feature. But I am opting for the great Butterfly quilt pattern as it’s a relatively easy Queen Size quilt to make.
Please remember that I DO NOT recommend you starting your quilting journey by making a Queen size quilt! Although I have heard many stories starting like this. The fact is that quilting is not necessary the easiest hobby to have. And starting on a big project might mean a very short lived dream of becoming a quilter. Quilting combines many disciplines: the cutting, the piecing, the sandwiching, the quilting and the binding. All very challenging! I tend to call them pitfalls. So ensure that you kind of master all of these before contemplating a Queen Size quilt.
You can download the free pattern on our website AND you will be happy to know that the pattern has been tested and all corrections have been made to ensure that you really enjoy making the quilt.

Hi everyone,
Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an amazing one. If you’ve got a bit of the winter blues, today’s post will definitely brighten up your day!
Today’s How To’s Day is of our Hang Time Quilt by Happy Quilting Designs. This one features our Kaleidoscope collection, which is a whimsical and bright collection of festive confetti, lovely mandalas, and cool ikat prints in a purple, mint, and coral colorway. We just love the happiness that exudes from this collection, and thought it would be a perfect fit for Hang Time. We chose a gradation of color, which looks stunning within the intricate design.

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a lovey day.
Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! New year, new beautiful quilts to be discovered!! Today we are sharing a gorgeous quilt pattern from Missouri Star Quilt Co. – Broken Bars! A version of the Broken Bars Quilt was created by Cristina Tepsick from Pretty Little Quilts. The quilt design reminded her of rows of books, and from that inspiration, created a Jane Austen-inspired color scheme with our Magnolia by Alisse Courter collection. She followed Jenny’s tutorial pretty much to a “t”, but changed the sizes of the strips to give an authentic bookshelf feel. We love her version, and how she even added strips of horizontal pieces to reference a real book’s spine. The Broken Bars quilt is such a great one, and we adore how Cristina revamped it! What a fantastic tutorial reboot.
Thank you to Jenny and everyone at Missouri Star Quilt Co. for the awesome free pattern, and to Cristina for choosing our fabric for her revamp. If you’d like to check out the tutorial reboot, you can click here. They’re also giving away a bundle of our Magnolia collection, so be sure to enter. Have an amazing rest of the day!

Time for our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Seeing Stars Quilt by Nancy Purvis of Owen’s Olivia. Seeing Stars is a gorgeous, modern quilt design that looks like glowing stars in the sky. Especially with our In the Navy by Jackie McFee collection – the little bits of metallic gold fabric makes the stars sparkle! This quilt would be perfect for added some sparkle to a bedroom or living room space.
