Hi everyone,
Happy Monday! We hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It’s not the best of days here today, dreary and a forecast for rain, but we are feeling great after our Summer 2014 Collections Launch Week. If you have not seen all five new collections yet, be sure to check them out here! We also have coordinating free projects for you all, which we are sure you will love. We are also hosting our Licensed Fabrics Giveaway on our Facebook this week, so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet. The giveaway winner will be announced this Wednesday!
It’s time to start off the week with our Moody Monday! We are featuring one of our empowering collections this week, our Girl Power II by Camelot Design Studio Collection. Our Girl Power II Collection features all of your favorite strong, independent, and gorgeous superheroines – Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Supergirl. This collection is all about showcasing strength, determination, and drive…which is showcased brilliantly in this fun and vivaciously-colored collection. The red, blue, and turquoise hues are exciting and bold – characteristics of our favorite superheroines – and the designs capture these gals in action, together and in their dedicated skus. This one is for your own, little superheroines – we love the idea of a Girl Power circle skirt, or an empowering quilt.
Roksanda’s Resort 2015 Collection encapsulates a very comic-book inspired feel that perfectly fits with our Girl Power theme today. Roksanda’s Collection is bold and exciting in color, combinations, and print. We absolutely adore the use of bright colors together, and especially the splattered designs – SO fun and beautiful!! This collection gives off a very strong and powerful feel, and goes very well with our Girl Power Collection. We especially love this one and this one, but you can check out the full collection here.
We hope you have inspired you with this week’s Moody Monday. You can check out our full Girl Power II Collection on our website, as well as the coordinating free projects. We’d love to know who your favorite superheroine is. Have a “wonder”ful and “super” day everyone!!

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend, and is ready for another great week. It’s an exciting week for us here at Camelot Fabrics because it is our Summer 2014 Launch Week! We will be launching a new collection every day this week. We started off our launch with our newest license: our Paddington Bear Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Be sure to check out our blog post on it here, as well as all the beautiful designs and free projects on our website.
Time for this week’s Moody Monday! We are featuring one of our awesome licenses from Spring 2014 today, our Star Wars III Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Our past Star Wars collections were huge successes, and we’ve gotten positive feedback for another SW collection, so we listened and brought you Star Wars III. Just as action-packed and brilliant as the previous two, Star Wars III brings you all of your favorite characters and designs. The vintage-inspired skus gives this collection an upbeat and impacting newness to our previous Star Wars collections, but keeping with the blue, red, and black hues of course! This collection is for all of our avid Star Wars enthusiasts! We think this collection would make for a brilliant quilt for a fellow SW fan, or how about an awesome Star Wars-themed party? You can’t forget about some fun SW bunting banners! You can see the full collection here.
The vibrant hues and space-inspired ensembles in David Koma’s Spring 2014 RTW Collection remind us our Star Wars III Collection. The intense blue hues, intricate leather detailing, and origami-inspired cuts of this collection give off a very out-of-this-worldly feel, and remind us of modern versions of the Star Wars’ uniforms. The clean styling, geometric cutouts, and overall modern esthetic of David Koma’s Spring 2014 are so fresh and innovative, and we absolutely adore this whole collection. You can check out the full collection here for more!
We hope we have inspired you today with our Moody Monday! Be sure to check out our Summer 2014 launches this week, and let us know which if your favorite. You can read about our Paddington Collection, and there’s only more to come. Have a good one! :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!! We hope everyone had a great and restful weekend! Did anyone do anything fun? :) Here’s to another fantastic week!! If you haven’t seen our latest tutorial, you definitely should! We shared our adorable (and relatively simple) Macarons Pillows Tutorial last week. Be sure to check it out HERE!
It’s time for this week’s Moody Monday. Today we are featuring a sophisticated, modern, and classic collection…Kate by Camelot Design Studio! Kate is a collection of grapefruit, indigo, and chartreuse tones that encapsulates a very warm and rustic vibe. The ogee, tiled, lattice, and chevron patterns add a playful touch to this otherwise sleek collection. Kate calls for a dressed-up affair – a rooftop 5 a 7 or garden party…you are ready for anything! Any of the designs in this collection would look stunning as a simple shift dress, a necktie, or a couple of pillows to add some flair to your living space. The possibilities are endless! :)
The color palette of Kate makes for an especially polished and refined feel, and this outfit that Jessica Biel sports definitely resembles just that. Jessica Biel is a very reserved actress, with very scant highlights in the press (which is a good thing!). Her demure sophistication is definitely displayed in her modern eggplant and coral ensemble. The dual tones of coral/tangerine tones add for a very pretty monochromatic look…which she completed with a complementary eggplant-hued jacket, bag, and pair of heels. This outfit gives a very similar feel to our Kate collection, in both tones and feel. Such a lovely look…great job, Jessica! You can check out the full Kate Collection HERE! :)
We hope you have enjoyed this week’s Moody Monday and have been inspired…to wear a monochromatic look, or just a pop of eggplant of coral in your look. Have a great day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? It’s official Summer now…Happy Summer!! Here’s to yummy BBQs, fun get-togethers, and warmer weather!! :)
It’s time to start off the first week of Summer with out Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Black & Tan Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Black & Tan is an absolutely beautiful, sleek collection of herringbone, houndstooth, chevron and animal print (leopard and zebra…how fun, right?) designs in a mix of black, white, and tan. This collection is strong, modern, and has an affluent appeal…it reminds us of all the business men and women, busily rushing to and from work on Wall Street, dressed in fitted dark suits, mahogany or black shoes, and matching briefcases. And then after work, taking a quick stop…into Barney’s of course!
Black & Tan is a great collection to mix into any current décor with its neutral colors and prints, and would make for the perfect throw quilt. How about a matching foldover clutch and full skirt? Yes, please! :) Be sure to check out the full Black & Tan collection here!
Didit Hediprasetyo’s Spring 2014 Couture Collection is the epitome of 50s-inspired and classic, in both silhouettes and patterns. The collection features neutral black and brown tones but in some really fun prints – tweed, houndstooth, and leather! We absolutely adore the mix between black and tan, two strong colors that go really well together is paired properly. We love Didit Hediprasetyo’s twist on a retro jumpsuit in houndstooth, especially with the little glints of shimmer and leather detailing. This collection definitely reminds us of our Black & Tank collection, and we especially love this look…and this one! You can check out the full collection HERE! :)
We hope we have inspired you today with this week’s Moody Monday!! Have a great day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday!! We cannot believe that we are nearing the end of March already. But, with the weather also starting to get warmer here, we hope this means that signs of Spring are near! We have been super inspired by all the bright colors and fun prints we have been on Pinterest, in stores, and in magazines!
BurdaStyle‘s Spring 2014 Issue is filled with lots of style inspiration to get you ready for the warmer weather! Along with endless Spring fashion tips and tricks throughout the magazine, the BurdaStyle magazine also includes full-sized fashion sewing pattern inserts for on-trend clothing pieces that you can create, to your taste. We especially adore the fabric 101 section in the magazine that focuses on everything you need to know about fabric, from selection to care and so much more!
Another great feature in the magazine is the Fabric Trends section, showcasing trends for the current season. Our Iconic Collection is perfect for the warmer weather, as the coral and navy hues in classic prints are very nautical and mod/60s-inspired – two huge trends for this season!
We love the combination of navy and coral – very refreshing, vibrant, and happy…which is just what Spring is to us! You can check out our Iconic Collection here for all the designs. We also have a couple of free projects featuring our Iconic Collection – Our Necktie and Conversation Hearts & Banner tutorials.
We also adored seeing popups of our fabric collections, such as Sweet Pea in the background of Denise’s editor’s note and this lovely floral pattern from Baby Dino! We collaborated with BurdaStyle by sending them our fabric collections, and it’s been super fun spotting our designs in their magazine, tutorials, and in the background of their webinairs!
Be sure to check out BurdaStyle’s Spring issue – there’s a ton of sewing & fashion ideas in it; you definitely will not be disappointed! You can also check out their website for even more inspiration to get your creative juices flowing for spring. Thanks for reading this week’s Thankful Thursday – Have a good rest of the day!
