Happy Friday!! We hope you are all having an extraordinary day!! It’s the first day of Quilt Market – if you’re there, be sure to stop by Booth #1425 and check out all our latest collections/projects. We would love to see you! As well, we are hosting a total of FOUR Quilt Market Giveaways, have launched our Spring 2014 Collections all this week, and are hosting a collaborative chalkboard fabric & chalk marker giveaway with Marvy®/Uchida (enter here!). Phew!! What an exciting, but busy week! A long weekend is well deserved ;)

We are finishing off our full week with our Fan Friday, and thought that it would be great to share something adorable. Zura M. from Sew Retro Chic made an Imaginarium Quilt for her nephew, Afeeq, and oh my goodness – it is just too precious!! Of course we had to share a picture of the little guy too, because he just makes us smile…too much cuteness in one picture!! :)

The Imaginarium Quilt features the wonderful turquoise, yellow, and grey colorway from our Imaginarium collection, making it the perfect quilt for a baby boy. The soft hues, along with the fun pinwheel design on this quilt, really compliment one another perfectly and makes this quilt super comforting and sweet. Some words from Zura: “This quilt is a labor of love. I made 9 pinwheel blocks, sashed & bodered. But I machine stitched the binding because at that time my sister in law was already in labor! Lucky I made it in time for this sweet boy to enjoy….” We really hope Afeeq loves his Imaginarium quilt as much as we do!

Thank you SO much, Zura, for sharing your Imaginarium Quilt with us! It is absolutely beautiful, and we really hope Afeeq has been enjoying snuggling with it. Happy Friday! So happy that it is just about the weekend! We recently uploaded our Basics Catalog, so be sure to check it out. As well…Spring 2014 collections are coming!! 3 more days until we start launching our collections.

We have been celebrating our mums this week for Mother’s Day and are ending the week with a very suiting quilt pattern from Quilters’ Paradise for Fan Friday! Quilters’ Paradise is a wonderful quilt shop located in central California, run by 3 girls who adore fabric and all things quilting! And this definitely holds true as the shop has been around for over 37 years! Quilters’ Paradise sells a wide selection of fabrics, including wool which is hand-dyed in store, as well as patterns, notions, books, and more sewing goodies.

As well, they feature Blocks of the Month, kits, and wool projects for both beginner and advanced quilters. They also hold many quilting enthused events such as in-store sewing classes, Spring & Fall shop hops, and a yearly 4-day sewing retreat (including a mystery project, games, and door prizes) organized in the mountains!

One of their partners, Colette Belt, is the quilt designer behind QP Designs. She has created over 60 pattern designs, her latest being Mommy & Me, using our Gray Matters More by Jackie McFee collection! Mommy & Me (how fitting and adorable is this name?! We love it!) is a lovely quilt pattern design that features an appliqued mama elephant and her baby…carrying some sweet balloons! The quilt design is a wonderful block pattern, finished with a ric-rac trim, which looks absolutely lovely with our Gray Matters More collection. This quilt is perfect for any new mommy, and Colette’s inspiration came from the birth of her first granddaughter Kensington! {Congratulations, Colette!!}

We wanted to thank Quilters’ Paradise for sharing this absolutely adorable quilt kit with us. We absolute adore it, and think Gray Matters More is the perfect fabric collection to showcase Mommy & Me. Colette, you are a fantastic designer! Happy Friday!! Great way to the end the week with a pretty day – a lovely change from the wind and rain we’ve been getting lately. There are also two more days until #StarWarsDay and in honor of May the 4th, we are hosting a Glow-in-the-Dark Star Wars fabric giveaway on our Facebook Page – Click here to enter!

To round up another wonderful week, we have our Fan Friday for you all today! Marion Omont used our Fleece Fox Hat & Tail Tutorial to create an absolutely adorable fleece fox hat and tail for her son. Marion’s son had a school carnival to attend and the kids were able to dress up! She remembered seeing our fox hat & tail tutorial on our Pinterest – a project she had wanted to make for a while but never got the chance to. She showed the costume idea to her son, who eagerly approved, and in a couple of hours his fox costume was created! Finishing the look with a cute nose and some whiskers, Marion’s son is one of the most precious foxes we have ever seen!

Marion – you did an absolutely incredible job with the fox hat and tail! Your little gray fox is so cute and we hope he enjoyed his school’s carnival all decked out. Thank you so much for sharing your project with us and for letting us know you enjoyed our tutorial! We are so happy that it came out wonderfully. Happy Friday! It’s time to round out the week with our Fan Friday post! Today we are sharing a very cute and sweet pattern shop, Create Kids Couture. Shannon and Tiffany are the two creative ladies behind Create Kids Couture, a fun pattern boutique that started in July 2011 with only 5 patterns. From there, the boutique quickly grew in popularity and have now expanded to over 300 patterns for babies, women, tweens, boys, dolls, and more! With Create Kids Couture, they strive to create patterns that are both easy to follow and pretty – ruffles and anything girly are a must!

Inspiration for their designs is often sparked from their daughters’ tastes and surroundings, but for their Ginger’s One Shoulder Dress, they were inspired by our In The Navy by Jackie McFee collection! So sweet so hear, and it seriously made our WEEK! The goal was to create a dress with the fabric collection that was summery and showcased a multitude of designs…and we definitely think they succeeded! The tiered design of this maxi dress is super lovely and we adore the bottom ruffled layer (we agree that one can never wear too many ruffles or color!). The pattern also comes with a top version, which is fantastic. This is the perfect cruise or garden party dress for a sweet, little girl!

She is absolutely adorable!! :) And the matching rose headband and necklace are perfect accessories!

Happy Friday!! It is such a beautiful day out, and we are feeling reenergized and great! Today is also National Pet Day so be sure to give your pets some extra lovin’ (…and a couple of extra treats too!)

When we aren’t finding inspiration on Pinterest, you can most often find us perusing Instragram – We LOVE coming across projects using our fabric collections! If you upload one, be sure to tag all your CF fabric projects with the hashtag #CamelotFabrics so that we can find them!! Seeing them always make our day :)

To end another fantastic week, we have our Fan Friday to share with you. Julie Mylander of the Quilty Sewing Blog created a Lil Monster Quilt with our Monster Mash by Heather Rosas Collection that is just the sweetest! When we saw this Lil Monster Quilt on Instagram, we got SO excited here in the office!!

Julie created this quilt for a co-worker’s niece who is having a baby boy, and decided to go with our Monster Mash Collection to fit the lil monster-themed nursery. Super cute!! She decided on a nine patch patchy 39″ x 46″ quilt design, and all the colors look fantastic together ! The monsters make this a perfect quilt for a baby boy, and it will look great in the nursery!
