Hi everyone!
Happy Friday!! Cheers to it almost being the weekend!! It may be one of the last weekends until the snow officially arrives here (YAY for Canadian winters…), so we are going to make the most of the pretty fall leaves and greenery. Here’s to a weekend filled with laughs, love, and autumnal happiness!
It’s time to end with our weekly Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a new, up-and-coming shop called DEEKSandME. DEEKSandME launched into the Etsy world just a couple of days ago and has already released some adorable products. Even with their recent launch, their branding is absolutely stunning…complete with a beautiful logo and packaging. DEEKSandME is all about creating quality and stylish, handmade baby items that would be wonderful gifts or for you and baby! They choose fabrics that are colorful and eclectic, with a good mix of both “girl” and “boy” modern designs. So far, they have launched their baby bandanna bibs, burp cloths, and baby infinity scarves…and every single one of them is precious!
DEEKSandME loves our What a Gem by Allison Cole Collection, and we just had to share the baby products made with our fun collection. They used What a Gem for their adorable bandanna bibs, which are made with soft coral flannel on the other side for maximum softness and absorbancy. As well, their wonderful burp cloths come in a set of three, which make for the perfect baby shower gift. And, they look very sweet with our What a Gem!
Thank you so much for the fabric love, DEEKSandME! You can check out more from this stylish baby shop at their Etsy Shop. And with that, it’s time for the weekend!! Have a fantastic one, everyone! :)

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday…and Happy Halloween!! We hope everyone is having a ghoul-d day ;) We’ve got the Halloween spirit in the office today. Who says we can’t dress up and work? So much fun! We’re also hosting our Beyond the Backyard FQB x Westcott Giveaway on our Facebook, so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet.
It’s also time to end another fun-filled week with our Fan Friday!! Today we are featuring an adorable project using one of our collections from the awesome blog, Say Chez. Jen Chesnick is the blogger behind Say Chez, the name sparked from her nickname “Chez” and thus became her trademark. Jen started her blog because of her love for sewing and pretty fabrics, and found blogging as an outlet to share her projects & DIYs. Apart from her love for sewing, Jen is also a scrapbooking and photography enthusiast. Jen features the projects she makes (including adorable clothing for her daughter!) and scrapbook designs on her blog.
Jen decided to create an adorable Tilly Top from Brownie Goose Patterns, and modified it slightly for her daughter. A recent discovery of how easy sleeves are to sew, Jen had so much fun with this tunic top pattern. She modified it slightly by closing the back, extending the bodice, and adding sleeves. Such a sweet touch, and the ruffles? That gets a “yes!” from us!
Jen used our Fairyville by Heather Rosas Collection to make her adorable tunic top, and we think it is just the sweetest thing ever. The girly fairy-filled prints are perfect for a little nugget who loves to be a girly-girl and play outdoors too. Her daughter is seriously the most adorable girl ever. She looks so cute in her Fairyville top. And we hope she loves her top as much as we do!!
Thank you so much for the fabric love, Jen! We are so happy you love our Fairyville Collection, and thank you for sharing it with us! Her daughter rocking her tunic is seriously the cutest thing ever. You can find more from Jen at her blog, Say Chez, as well as on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. Have a Happy Halloweeeeen everyone!! :)

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday!! We hope everyone is having a wonderful end of the workweek. We have been launching our Fall 2014 Collections today on our website and blog, as well as our social media sites, so be sure to check them. We’d love to know what you think, and which ones are your favorite!! We definitely couldn’t choose just one! We’re also in Houston for Fall Quilt Market, so if you’ll be there too, be sure to stop by Booth #1824 to say “hello!”
It’s time to end a great week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a wonderful online shop who makes the sweetest of quilts, Now and Then Quilts. Dana is the owner of and creative behind Now and Then Quilts, an Etsy Shop that was launched as a way to share her love for quilting. Dana enjoys the whole process of quilting, from choosing the fabric to seeing the quilt “come to life”, which makes each quilt all the more special. Dana is a loving wife, mother to four, and a grandmother to three…all whom she loves to sew and quilt for. Now and Then Quilts is all about beautiful quilt designs, from adorable but modern baby quilts to Christmas stockings and other fun accessories. All items are made with love, the perfect addition to any little ones’ nursery. She has quilts for girls and boys in a variety of colors, sizes, and fabric designs to appeal to everyone.
Dana created a beautiful baby quilt with our What a Gem by Allison Cole Collection. This Modern Baby Girl Quilt is absolutely stunning, the different patterns from What a Gem in a block patchwork design. This modern, whimsical quilt is perfect for a baby girl who is as fierce as she is chic! As Dana says “because every now and then you just need that special quilt“, and we think her What a Gem quilt truly is special.
Thank you so much Dana for the fabric love! We absolutely adore the quilt you created with our What a Gem Collection, and are so happy that others love it too. You can check out more from Dana’s quilt shop “Now and Then Quilts” here. You can also find her on Twitter and Facebook. Have a fantastic weekend! :)

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday!! We hope you are having a fantastic of the week. Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? It’s supposed to be raining tomorrow, but that is not stopping us from taking this last opportunity for apple and pumpkin picking, before the season is officially over. So excited!! Time to end another great week with our Fan Friday!! Today we are featuring Pillow Loft Home Decor who creates fabulous pillows and home decor accessories for all your interior decorating needs! From bolster pillows to decorative pillows to curtain valances, they’ve got everything you need to make any space super stylish. Cheryl Britton is the owner and creative mind behind Pillow Loft Home Decor, a business idea that sparked from a young age. Cheryl would sell her handmade potholders door-to-door as an elementary school girl, and her love for creating things only sparked as an adult. Together with a business background and a passion for creating, she decided to start her Etsy Shop. She had already been making her own valances and pillows for her own home, so it was a perfect avenue for her to start something new. Cheryl loves all types of fabric styles, from nature-inspired prints to florals to more contemporary patterns. And to top it all off, one of her pillows has been featured in Good Housekeeping!!
Cheryl chose our Design Studio Collection for her Bolster Pillow, and it looks amazing. The wonderful grey and yellow chevrons design would be a perfect accent pillow for any neutral living room or bedroom space – a subdued way for some color pop! All of her creations are of amazing handmade quality and this pillow is no exception. We love that the pillow insert is included with it too, so no need for searching for a “right fit”.
We want to thank Cheryl for the fabric love! We are so happy you love our Design Studio Collection and have used it in your designs; the Bolster Pillow is a stunner. You can find more from Pillow Loft Home Decor on Etsy, as well as on Twitter and Facebook. Have a great weekend!!

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday!! We hope everyone is having a wonderful end to the work week. It’s Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, so we are so excited to spend time with our loved ones, have some great laughs, and of course, eat lots and lots of delicious food. We are thankful for so many things in our lives, it would be an endless post, so we keep it short and sweet. We want to take the time to thank our wonderful family, friends, and supporters…and of course all of you; we appreciate all of our fellow fabric enthusiasts so much. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by the Camelot Fabrics blog to say hello; it really means so much to us! :)
And speaking of fabric enthusiasts, it’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring Rocking Horse Design, an online shop dedicated to making handmade Lolita-style dresses and skirts in bright and fun comic & cartoon fabric designs. As well, they create customized cosplay garments which can be tailored and suited for different needs. With a love affair for cartoons and comics, it is no doubt that they would also translate that love in their fabric choices. They love Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, Adventure Time, and other popular comics…and choose fabric collections that represent who they are, with a modern twist.
Rocking Horse Design loves the Lolita-style of clothing, which is translated in all their designs, with a vintage flair. Their dresses have sweetheart necklines and their skirts are full, girly, and flirty. Using cartoon and comic prints, the dresses look absolutely adorable and so much fun to wear! Who wouldn’t want to look fabulous, rocking their favorite comic book or cartoon? They love our Marvel, Star Trek, and Star Wars fabric collections and chose some of our prints for their dresses. We absolutely LOVE how they turned out!
