Hi everyone,

Happy Friday!! We hope you all are having a brilliant end to the week. Know what we’re craving today? Flaky, buttery croissants. YUM! And it just so happens to be National Croissant Day. So down for one, or some, haha. We are also hosting our Elixir FQ Bundle Giveaway on our Facebook Page, so you can enter here.

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a darling quilt we found on Instagram by Jessica Ewing of Always a Crafty Lady. Jessica started her blog, Always a Crafty Lady, at the start of 2015 – a goal to share her handmade projects & inspirations, after seeing the tag “A Year of Making” going around on Instagram. From quilts to clothing for her adorable girls, Jessica shares her passion for handmade items on her blog and gives her experience/tips with each project.

Jessica chose our Fairyville Collection for her super sweet Fairies Quilt that she made as a nap blanket for her daughter. She used a quilt pattern she found on Cluck Cluck Sew. It was also her first time machine quilting, first time binding a quilt, and first time sewing with minky. And the best part? Her daughter adores it!! She also made a second quilt using another of our Heather Rosas’ collections, Folklore.

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday!! Hope everyone had a fantastic week – we’re excited for the weekend though! Today happens to be one of our favorite days…National Pie Day. YUM!! Apple pie, pecan pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, key-lime pie…yup, we could go on haha, but it’s just making us want pie even more! :)

Ending our week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a super awesome What’s Cookin’ project from Shanna of This Joyful Home. In 2005, Shanna noticed the limited selection of baby carriers available, and even so, were uncomfortable. She decided to use her own experiences with baby carriers to make her own design. Thus, her business Sweet Slings, LLC was born! In 2007, she moved and again found herself searching for products of limited supply or style. She decided to expand her product line to wet bags for cloth diapers, coordinating kitchen cloths, table runners, burlap mats, and more, and is relaunched as This Joyful Home.

Shanna used our What’s Cookin’ Collection for her Wet Bags, and we love it! They are perfect for hanging in a nursery or kitchen to easy put cloth diapers into, and come with accompanying wet cloths. Our What’s Cookin’ Collection make the bags modern and fun, so they look pretty hanging in a room vs. being an eyesore. Great choice, Shanna! :)

Thank you so much, Shanna, for the fabric love! We are so happy you love our What’s Cookin’ Collection for your Wet Bags. We adore the idea! You can find more from Shanna from her Etsy Shop andFacebook Page. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

Ending the week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring an amazing quilt done by the super talented Katy J that we spotted on Instagram. She has always been a sewing enthusiast, doing something crafty everyday whether it be something for herself, for a gift, or for custom items. She had opened an Etsy Shop for her creations, but has taken a break from it. She sews all sorts of things from quilts, baby quilts, table runners, camera strap covers, to passport and bi-fold wallets. And, she shares her new items on her Facebook Page.

Katy’s husband is an Army pilot and, being inspired by him, has sewn almost 40 Fly Army Baby Quilts in the past four years. She had recently found our Take Flight Collection at a local fabric shop, and was so thrilled by our helicopter prints. When we saw the Take Flight quilt on Instagram, we got SO excited!!

It is an absolutely stunning quilt – the reds, blues, and yellows vibrant and cheery, and would make any future pilot-in-training very happy!! You did such a wonderful job, Katy! :)

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! So excited that it’s just about the weekend. We’ve made it through our first week back!! We hope everyone had a pleasant one :)

It’s time to end the week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a stunning Nightfall Dress created by the awesome sewing-related blog, Sew It Up. Sew It Up is run by two crafty ladies, Caroline, who owns her own business, and Hanne, a part-time visual arts/sewing teacher. They created Sew It Up to showcase their creativity and love for all things sewing & fabric related. They offer sewing contests for those in Belgium and the Netherlands, with different themes, where participants can join in and share their creations. Each participant is able to showcase their unique talents and skills, and allows them to come together in the ever-growing sewing community. We think that is such a fantastic idea, and love the idea of showcasing others’ talents to fellow sewers.

A recent contest was to create a New Year’s Eve inspired outfit! They created a stunning party dress with our Nightfall Collection and we just had to share it with you all! They used the Kim Dress Pattern by By Hand London which looks incredible with our metallic fabric. From the sweetheart neckline to the semi-capped sleeves to the pockets, everything about this dress is oh-so-lovely and the epitome of being the perfect party dress. We adore how sophisticated it becomes with the simple addition of a blazer. But on it’s own, the metallic printed fabric definitely gives this dress “knockout” status. It is divine!

Seeing our fabric collections turn into physical projects is the best feeling in the world! You can check out more from Sew It Up and their contests on their blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.

And if you ever create a project with one of our Free Projects or fabric collections, we would LOVE to see. You can also send your pictures to info@camelotfabrics.com. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday, and it also happens to be the last Fan Friday…of 2014! Today we are featuring some adorable dolls that we found on Instagram from Heather. When we saw them, we squealed with the amount of adorableness and knew we just had to share! Heather comes from a family of quilters, and she taught herself to sew in 2006. It wasn’t long before she discovered doll making and knew she had found her niche in the sewing world. She opened up her Etsy Shop, Handmade by Heather, to share her dolls with others who will cherish them as much as she had making them.

Heather pays great attention to detail when making her sweet dolls; each handcrafted with lots of love, as well. She chooses fabrics that are bright and modern for their clothing. She also makes the sweetest mermaids that we are just head over heels for! Soso cute!!

Heather chose some of our collections for her dolls’ clothing, such as our Penelope and Mint Condition by Jackie McFee collections. They work wonderfully to bring her dolls to life, looking all sorts of stylish and pretty in their outfits!! :)
