Hi everyone,

Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are doing fantastic. Today is also Earth Day, a day that has been celebrated for 45 years, dedicated to encouraging and reminding people to take care of the world around them. Even small things, such as proper recycling, reusing items, remaking clothing, and using cold water, are things that can made a HUGE difference! We’re not perfect, and don’t always remember, but we try our best to do our part :)

It’s time for this week’s Winsday! Today we are giving away our Sea Life by Heather Rosas FQ Bundle on our Facebook Page. Sea Life is our wonderful sea-inspired collection of adorable sea life creatures – fish, starfish, turtles – in a turquoise, green, and grey color scheme. This aquatic collection makes us want to take a vacation to the beach, with the warm sand and salty ocean right by our side. Because we’re feeling all nostalgic and want to take a vacation right now (anywhere tropical, take me please! haha), we’re keeping the theme with our giveaway question. Happy Thursday! We hope you are all having a fantastic day so far!! There’s one more day until Spring, and we can’t wait!! Want to know something else that’s sweet? Today is National Chocolate Caramel Day. Um, yes it’s a thing. I mean, chocolate and caramel are delicious on their own; together they’re just magic!

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a project from one of our pattern designs, Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs. One of the first projects featured in our Free Projects Program, our Box Trot Quilt by Whirligig Designs continues to be a favorite! The linear, box-y design of our Box Trot Quilt makes it perfect for highlighting many different fabric designs into one quilt. This quilt gives the sewer a lot of creative freedom to match different colors and designs together, to create a beautifully uniform look. We’ve used our Box Trot quilt to highlight different fabric collections, but love the idea of using it as a modern graduating or collage quilt too.

We decided to have our Box Trot Quilt sewn up in one of our Fall 2014 collections, Wildflowers by Alisse Courter. The warm peach, chartreuse, and grey tones work wonderfully together in this block quilt. Chris quilted Box Trot for us, and gosh, it looks so pristine and perfect in person – just as it does in our template (but better!). Chris is an extremely talented quilter; the floral quilting works perfectly with Wildflowers. The result is a gorgeous, clean-looking quilt that would add a great pop of color to any feminine space.

Thank you SO much, Chris, for the incredible quilt pattern and for sewing the physical quilt for us. We absolutely LOVE it! We hope you have been enjoying all our Fall 2014 Collections today! We know that there are so many Marvel Comics fans, who love using our fabric for their projects, we just had to bring you all more fabric love. Sharing more of our Fall 2014 Collections with you today! With the turn of autumn, our nights have unfortunately become longer. But, we’re ones to stay optimistic and like to look for the little pleasures in things, such as the illuminating moon and pretty stars that freckle the midnight sky. We’re launching our Fall 2014 Collections today, and hope you have been enjoying them so far. We’re bringing you some more prettiness with our Elixir by Camelot Design Studio Collection. Elixir is mystic and ethereal, with beautiful modern geometric patterns in rich blues, mint, and Pantone’s 2014 color of the year…radiant orchid. Such an interesting combination of colors, but oh-so magical together, Elixir brings mystery and a soft elegance to any project.
