It’s time for our What We Love! This week, the Camelot Design Studio has been inspired by clean spaces, intricate detailing, and bright colors. Things can get pretty hectic – the hustle and bustle of day-to-day can be a lot to handle – that we forget to enjoy the little things in life sometimes. If you get the chance today, take a minute to appreciate the architecture or fresh blooms on your way to work and remember that yes, life can be busy, but we must also enjoy the moments…as mundane as they may seem. It’s DAY FOUR of our Summer 2014 Collections Launch Week! We hope you have enjoying all of our collection launches thus far: Paddington Bear, It’s a Bird’s Life, and London Fog! Today, we have got our fourth collection to share…Pastel Me More by Camelot Design Studio!! Our Pastel Me More Collection is the epitome of all things girly, pretty, flirty, and of course, pastel! What could be better on a warm Summer’s day than a bike ride with friends (pastel vintage bicycles of course!) wearing your favorite tea dresses, and ending the day with some yummy sorbet? Or maybe a pink & sprinkled donut…or both? We could definitely concur to an afternoon like that! Pastel Me More is a feminine collection of soft pink, yellow, grey, and blue hues together to create gorgeous floral and geometric patterns. This collection reminds us a sweet, bakery shop so we love the idea of a confectionery-filled Summer party – cupcakes, cookies, donuts, macaroons, and cotton candy – decorated with a pastel-hued table runner and matching napkins. Such a fun (and yummy) idea!

Our Pastel Me More is such a fun and vibrant collection that could liven any room or space! We love the idea of a neutral room with a punch of color, such as a Pastel Me More pillow or quilt. We adore this Box Trot Quilt by Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs:

Happy Monday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend, and is ready for another great week. It’s an exciting week for us here at Camelot Fabrics because it is our Summer 2014 Launch Week! We will be launching a new collection every day this week. We started off our launch with our newest license: our Paddington Bear Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Be sure to check out our blog post on it here, as well as all the beautiful designs and free projects on our website.

Time for this week’s Moody Monday! We are featuring one of our awesome licenses from Spring 2014 today, our Star Wars III Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Our past Star Wars collections were huge successes, and we’ve gotten positive feedback for another SW collection, so we listened and brought you Star Wars III. Just as action-packed and brilliant as the previous two, Star Wars III brings you all of your favorite characters and designs. The vintage-inspired skus gives this collection an upbeat and impacting newness to our previous Star Wars collections, but keeping with the blue, red, and black hues of course! This collection is for all of our avid Star Wars enthusiasts! We think this collection would make for a brilliant quilt for a fellow SW fan, or how about an awesome Star Wars-themed party? The vibrant hues and space-inspired ensembles in David Koma’s Spring 2014 RTW Collection remind us our Star Wars III Collection. The intense blue hues, intricate leather detailing, and origami-inspired cuts of this collection give off a very out-of-this-worldly feel, and remind us of modern versions of the Star Wars’ uniforms. The clean styling, geometric cutouts, and overall modern esthetic of David Koma’s Spring 2014 are so fresh and innovative, and we absolutely adore this whole collection. It’s a SUPER exciting week because it is our Summer 2014 Launch Week!! We have FIVE new collections to share with you, and we will be launching one everyday this week. So be sure to stick around and see all the new & pretty fabrics we’ve got for you. It’s time for DAY ONE of our Summer 2014 Launch Week…

The first fabric collection we are launching is our very adorable and newest license…Paddington Bear by the Camelot Design Studio! The lovable Paddington Bear seriously brings us so much nostalgia, back to our childhood, and we are absolutely in adoration for this little guy. Our Paddington Bear collection encapsulates that sense of joy and happiness of childhood, and its muted, pastel hues makes this collection very soft and comforting. The collection includes beautiful illustrations of Paddington Bear, in his classic rain hat & wellies, and his adventures, making this collection the perfect choice for a nursery – themed curtains, crib bumper, rocking chair pillow, and baby quilt and your little one will have the absolute cutest of rooms!

Being the worldly traveler, all the way from Peru to London, Paddington Bear embarks on many adventures and, at times, mishaps. We think a Paddington Bear passport cover would the perfect fit, and would make finding your passport when traveling much easier. As well, a Paddington Bear quilt would be the perfect gift for a new mother or for a little on in your life; the narrative designs make this collection easy to incorporate into a quilt design, such as this one, this one, or this one.

 
And just in time, the Paddington Bear Movie will be released in the Fall of this year, and we are so thrilled! We cannot wait to see it in theaters. Happy Thursday!! We hope everyone is having a colorful day! It’s bright and sunny here, and we are feeling great! :) It’s the perfect day to wear a flowy, maxi dress such as Burda Style’s Smocked Maxi Dress. We created our own variations of the dress, and shared them on the blog this week. Be sure to check it out HERE! :)

It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! This week, we are taking the time to thank one incredible company, Aurifil! We had the absolute pleasure of chatting and meeting Alex Veronelli from Aurifil at this past Spring Quilt Market. It was wonderful getting to meet him in person and, as we had already knew, was such a great person to chat with. We were super excited that they were interested in working with us, and we decided to start things off with a couple of collaborative giveaways. Our first giveaway was our Penelope Collection, along with a coordinating box of Aurifil threads that we handpicked. Our last giveaway was with our Itty Bitty by Andrea Turk Collection, and Aurifil also generously allowed us to give away some more thread goodies!! We also received a box of Aurifil threads for our projects, which we will be using in future How To’s Day posts. We are so thankful for the incredible generosity from Aurifil, we cannot thank Alex and Kim enough. And…we are also very excited for what is to come! ;)
