Hi everyone,
Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an amazing day!!
For today’s How To’s Day, we are featuring one of our exclusive quilt patterns from our Free Projects Program. The Butterfly Quilt was created by the incredibly talented Melissa Stramel, of Lilac Lane Patterns. Melissa has now expanded her patterns to clothing and accessories, for women and little girls…and their dollies! But, we are obsessed with her Butterfly Quilt, which gives a unique flair to a quilt pattern. The little triangles throughout the pattern look like butterflies, which may seem complicated, but in the end – a super neat effect.
We love a contrast between the butterflies and the background, so that the butterflies really pop! Imagine a white quilt with solid colored butterflies?! That would be so so coooool. We decided to feature the Butterfly Quilt at our booth for Spring Quilt Market, in our popular Botanical room. The quilt displayed as a backdrop to the room (and because of its size, was a real showstopper!). It really made everything come together.
Vicki Reubel of Orchid Owl Quilts did such an incredible job quilting the Butterfly Quilt. We received so many compliments on the design and quilt work – so thank you to both Melissa and Vicki! You both rock!! Now… want to make your own Butterfly Quilt? Click MORE to see the full instructions.

Hi everyone,
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We got a mix of super hot weather on Saturday…but then a dreary, cold day on Sunday – no winning with this season!
Kicking off the first day of June with our Moody Monday! Today we are featuring one of our Spring 2015 collections, Emilia by the Camelot Design Studio. Emilia is soft and feminine, combining pink, purple, peach, and grey together to create a wonderfully girly palette. The bold, sorbet prints of Emilia are perfect for a little girl’s bedroom or for a true girly-girl’s wardrobe essentials. As well, some of our Emilia prints are also available in our double gauze – perfect for a lightweight scarf!
A coincidence? Emilia Wickstead’s Fall 2015 RTW collection was absolutely stunning, combining soft muted colors with sleek, feminine silhouettes. Every dress had a fantastical flow to it, each something Lauren Bacall would have easily been seen wearing. And let us not forget about the color palette – pastels, such as yellow, blue, and purple were used to give soft textures to each piece. We were especially head over heels for this dress and print, which were very reminiscent of our Emilia collection.
We hope you have enjoyed our Moody Monday today! We love finding these little bits of weekly inspiration, and hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Have a marvelous day!
Happy Sewing!

It’s time for this week’s What We Love ♥ Here’s to #50!! This week, we have been getting a little nostalgic with some childhood favorites. Anyone else read Frog & Toad, as a child or parent? The illustrations are just beautiful. As well as Moomins on the Riviera. Furthermore, food is on the brain – our famous Montreal bagels are an everyday favorite, finished off with a good beer. See what else has been inspiring us this week… ♥

Sara: Moomins on the Riviera

Hi everyone,
Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a brilliant day! It’s the last day to enter our #GypsyLane Giveaway, so be sure to head on over to our Facebook Page to enter!!
Time for our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring a beautiful pillow pattern for our Free Projects Program, made by the lovely Veronica Koh Eischeid of VeronicaMade. Modern Cross is a fun take on a flower/star cross design, which is the focal point of the pillow. Mixing and matching different patterns is what makes this pillow awesome; we love keeping the background neutral so that the middle pops! We chose to feature our Paradise by Alisse Courter Collection with Modern Cross, choosing our bright orange, fuchsia, and purple prints for the middle, and a pretty floral, neutral background. We love how it turned out, and think it would be beautiful in any feminine space.

Hi everyone,
Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. And to our fellow American friends, wishing you all a lovely Memorial Day!
It’s time to start off the week with our Moody Monday! Today we are featuring another of our new Spring 2015 collections, Eye Candy by Jackie McFee. Eye Candy is bright, exuberant, and fun! It is our spunky neon collection of coral, yellow, and blue in bold geo prints, such as dots, ogees, and florals. To make the neon colors pop even more, Eye Candy is printed on our unbleached, 100% natural cotton. How’s that for a showstopping collection? We love our neons, especially for the summertime, so we can imagine a fun clutch or headband. – or really summer-ify (yup, we’re making that a word! lol) your house with some cool neon pillows.
We love everything that J.Crew puts out for their latest collections, but we had to bring back and feature these incredible pants from their Spring 2013 collection. We would definitely still rock them this year! They are reminiscent of the coral floral in our Eye Candy collection – so in love! The coral pants make such a statement, that can be worn for work (pair with a neutral top!), and then taken into the night (imagine being in a dance club in these?? who needs a disco ball? haha). Fashion should be fun and free, so rock your neon pieces all year round, we say! ;)
I hope we have inspired you with this week’s Moody Monday! We definitely love a little neon in our wardrobe for the Spring and Summer. Have an awesome day!
