Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a relaxing, long weekend. Did anyone work on any fun new (or WIP) projects?

It’s time for our How To’s Day! Today we are sharing one of our free quilt patterns, our Farm Stand Quilt by Anne Sullivan of Play Crafts. Farm Stand is a very cool and clean quilt pattern, featuring “columns” of fabric separated by a solid. We chose to have our Star Wars: The Force Awakens collection made up in this quilt, and absolutely adore the linear, ombred effect created with the many, different designs. Melissa Dunworth of Sew Bitter Sweet Designs quilted the quilt for us, and are obsessed with her quilt work! Thanks, Melissa… SOO much!

As we count down the days to #ForceFriday, we’re also sharing some amazing projects featuring our Star Wars fabric – from some equally fantastic Etsy creators (who also happen to be Star Wars fans!!). Let’s see what they have designed, as well as find out why they love Star Wars too…

The Force is Strong Insulated Lunch Bag by brookiellen, featuring Camelot Fabrics’ Comic Book Covers fabric.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character? “First of all, I never saw the Star Wars movies until I met my husband (yeah, I know…seriously).  Better late than never, right?  This was mostly due to a story my dad had me believing for years.  When I was little he had this black and white photo of a scary looking old man in a robe, standing in the woods.  He told me that this man lived in the woods behind our house.  Of course I believed him and was terrified.  Then I remember seeing a movie poster (not realizing at the time it was for The Empire Strikes Back) and this same scary looking man was on it.  Once I got a little older, I found out that the photo of the “scary looking old man living in the woods behind my house” was actually my uncle wearing an old robe and a YODA mask.  Thanks Dad!  For this reason, Star Wars will always hold a special and strange place in my childhood memories.  This is comical especially now because after actually watching the movies, Yoda has become one of my favorite characters.”

Who is your favorite Star Wars character? “Well….that’s a funny one…because I think he’s just about every Star Wars fan’s least favourite character…But really like Jar Jar.. He makes me giggle! Not sure I should admit that one ;)”

Thank you to these fabulous and talented ladies who let us share their Star Wars products! 2 down, three more days to go…

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is having a wonderful First of September!! It’s also the last day to enter our Flannel FQB Giveaway, so if you haven’t yet, gogogo and enter!

Let’s start off the day with our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Tumbling Jewels Quilt by The Cloth Parcel, the wonderful mother-daughter design team. The Tumbling Jewels Quilt is a gorgeous quilt design, composed of lots of different sized triangles and squares to create a “jeweled” effect. We love the randomness of how the shapes are placed, but together, create a super cool and neat pattern. We have fun playing around with this quilt pattern, and loved how it turned out with our Nordic Collection. The grey tones, muted pink, and black prints look so good together in this quilt.

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a lovely day… and today is National Banana Split Day, everyone. Oh, that sounds so appeeling right now haha!

Time for our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Diamonds Quilt by Nikki Maroon of The Girl Who Quilts. Our Diamonds Quilt is one of our beloved favorites. Bordered octagon shapes are blocked together in rows to create a modern quilt design. As well, there is an ombre effect created with different fabric patterns which is a simple, but fun detail. We chose to highlight our Little Bird by Camelot Design Studio collection, with its soft pink, mint, and grey hues. The gentle gradient makes for a gorgeous, showstopping bed or wall quilt!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a fantastic, National Soft Ice Cream Day! Get yourself a delicious chocolate or vanilla soft serve (we love the duo kind!), kick back and relax, and enjoy today!

On to our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Baby Blocks Quilt by Larene Smith of The Quilted Button. Our Baby Blocks Quilt is a lovely block-by-block pattern of squares that create a clean and contemporary design, perfect for a modern nursery. The different “squares” allow for you to have fun with different fabric prints, to create visual interest. We chose to feature our feminine Emilia Collection, and chose like patterns in a diagonal design. The border is our darker medallion print, which gives the overall quilt a nice warmth.
