Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are having a wonderful day so far. Did you know…that today is World Nutella Day? Yup, it’s an official day dedicated to the incredibly delicious (and highly addictive!) chocolate, hazelnut spread that is amazing with pretty much anything (or on it’s own. Spoonfuls? We’re not judging haha!).

Time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our favorite magazines, Craft Ideas. Their latest Winter 2014 edition was also the big reveal of their new look. Everything got revamped and updated, and it looks fantastic!!  Complete with a new logo, the updated magazine now features a “New Products” section (a breakdown of the latest craft tools and materials), Book Reviews, a “Green Ideas” section (listings for eco-friendly products and companies), and highlights up-and-coming designers. As well, Craft Ideas will now be releasing a new printed issue every second month! We were always a fan of Craft Ideas, and were so excited that they were taking on this new venture.

Flipping through the Winter 2014 issue, you might recognize some familiar projects. Craft Ideas featured two of our free projects in their magazine. The first is our Cascading Chevrons Pillow, one of our favorites! You can find the free pattern on our website too. As well, they featured our Border Blast Quilt by one of our wonderful pattern designers, Larene Smith of The Quilted Button.

We love working with Craft Ideas Magazine and are so happy they love our projects. And, it’s also so fun seeing our projects featured in print! Happy Thursday everyone! We hope everyone is feeling fantastic! We are hosting another awesome Winsday this week, we are giving away our Itty Bitty FQB and two coordinating Aurifil spools!! It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a wonderful and delectable craft magazine, Craft Ideas! We are such huge fans of Craft Ideas Magazine, not just for their incredible content, but also the people are the sweetest. We want to take a moment to thank Annie Niemic for being such a lovely person to work with and get to know! We have featured Craft Ideas on the blog previously, which you can check out here, but there can never be too much praise for this magazine. We love this magazine for its creative crafts, from beading to sewing to crocheting and everything else in between!

Yes, it’s still Summer but it’s never too early to start thinking about Fall and Winter decor ideas (am I right? haha!). We absolutely adore Craft Ideas’ Autumn-inspired magazine, which is giving us so many fabulous ideas for upcoming crafts for the fall season. It’s so lovely to flip through the vibrant pages and see all the warm autumn hues! There’s even a Halloween section (we are big fans of Halloween in the Camelot Design Studio…dressing up = the best thing ever!), and are excited to make the mini dracula ornaments – too cute!! If you continue to flip through the magazine, you’ll find two of our projects – our Herringbone Quilt by Christa Quilts (p.72) and our Roonie the Raccoon Pillow (p.68)!

It’s time for some more “thank yous” with this week’s Thankful Thursday. Today we are going to share our wonderful feature in the Craft Ideas April 2014 Digital Magazine. Craft Ideas is an incredible source for all things craft- and DIY-related – from quilting to clay to beading, and everything in-between, they are a fantastic crafting hub for every sort of project you will want to try.

Craft Ideas publishes print magazines throughout the year, dedicated to the yearly trends and holidays, as well as digital editions! Moreover, they have a correlating Craft Ideas website and blog to share even more crafting tips and project tutorials with their readers! Every week, they post informative videos on their YouTube channel featuring their editor, Annie Niemics! They always provide great insight and reviews on new products or projects.

They also send out weekly e-newsletters that their followers can sign up to, to get the latest in the crafting community. They feature bloggers, giveaways, and fun things – after the 2014 CHA Show, they loved our products and decided to give us a super sweet shout-out:

Craft Ideas also featured two of our free tutorials in their May 2014 digital edition. They featured the tutorials for our Plush Stegosaurus and “Love You Forever” Tree Trunk Bolster tutorials! It was SO cool to see our tutorials featured, and are so glad they are enjoyed. We hope the readers like our project ideas!
