Hi everyone!

Happy Monday!! We hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Happy Memorial Day to all our American friends! Have you seen our latest How To’s Day? We posted a tutorial for a stunning Lattice Table Runner that would be the perfect centerpiece for all the upcoming Summer parties. Find the free tutorial here!

It’s time to start another great week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with one of our Spring 2014 Collections…Folklore by Heather Rosas for Camelot Fabrics. Folklore is an exquisite collection of ruby, turquoise, and cream hues to create a very happy and modern look. The designs in this collection include sweet birds, fluttery leaves, and a multitude of spring florals – daisies, roses, and tulips!

There is a Scandinavian feel of the designs in Folkore, but the brighter colors make it very fresh and on-trend. We can imagine a perfect Farmer’s Tote, a precious apron for the baking enthusiast, or a playful dress with the turquoise & red hues of Folklore!

One collection that has a similar essence to Folkore is Antonio Berardi’s Spring 2014 collection. The soft hues of creams, nudes, and pinks make this collection very pretty and fluttery, especially with the sheer and delicate fabrics. We especially adore the floral detailing, with the subdued metallic accents. This collection is very feminine and dainty, and we love the juxtaposition of the bohemian-inspired hairstyle and bold red lips. This collection reminds us of our Folklore by Heather Rosas Collection with its beautiful floral details, muted creams and pinks, and boho-vibe. You can check out the full collection HERE! We hope you have enjoyed this week’s Moody Monday!

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday!! YAY for Fridays!! Who else is excited for the weekend? We definitely are! Have a fantastic long weekend to our American friends – Happy Memorial weekend :)

It’s time to end another great week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a very fun and celebratory quilt that Beth Murray shared with us. She used our Celtic Clover fabric to create and sew up this beautiful quilt for her son-in-law, Garrett. We absolutely adore her choice in colors and fabric. So festive and bright! The more earthy tones go really well with the lovely curved pieced design on the quilt. It is the epitome of a perfect ‘man’ quilt, and we think that Beth did a fabulous job on her Celtic Quilt!

Thank you so much for sharing your Celtic Quilt with us, Beth!! You did an incredible job, and we really hope your son-in-law enjoys his new quilt. If you create a project with our fabric collections or using one of our free projects, we would love to see! You can send all your project pictures to info@camelotfabrics.com and you can be featured in a future Fan Friday. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic day!! We have been looking at all of our Quilt Market pictures, and are so thankful for yet another successful show. As well, we are SO thankful for all of our project and quilt designers who created or sewed up projects for us, for our booth. In all honesty, our booth wouldn’t have looked half as incredible without you all…so a HUGE hug to you from us!! We will be posting a Quilt Market summary very soon with more pictures and information from the show, and all our projects too!

One of the absolutely STUNNING quilts we showcased at our Quilt Market booth was created and sewn by one of our quilt designers, Joanne Hillestad of The Fat Quarter Gypsy. She has been such a wonderful person to work with, and we are so thankful we found this creative gal! Joanne had her first Quilt Market experience this year (YAY!), and we are so proud of her and everything that is to come. Today’s Thankful Thursday is featuring Joanne of The Fat Quarter Gypsy!

Joanne and her sister have always loved being creative and crafty, and this passion only stemmed as she grew up. As a teenager, she loved making clothing…when she got married, her love for sewing blossomed to baby blankets, clothes, and home décor. After her first baby boy was born, she became a crafty and innovative mom making fancy bags with pockets for mini cars, a road play mat, sleeping bags for stuffed animals, and other fun projects! It was her way of expressing her creative side, and she really enjoyed sewing…and fabric! Then one day her mother-in-law, Nancy, told her about the quilts she was making…and Joanne found a new passion! Joanne now designs quilt patterns and sews quilts for her company, The Fat Quarter Gypsy! Yup, best name ever!! :)

Joanne’s quilt designs are fun and unique, which is exactly what we love!! We had the privilege of collaborating with Joanne on a quilt design, and she created the beautiful Deco Ritz Quilt for our Free Projects Program, featuring our Nightfall Collection. We think it works perfectly with this collection – so luxurious and magical with the black, white, and gold. We have a couple of variations on our website and it looks incredible with our other collections too! Joanne sewed up the Deco Ritz Quilt for us for Quilt Market with our Design Studio Collection!! We absolutely adore how the blues, blacks, and greys work perfectly together. Love, love, love!!

We are so thankful for your partnership, Joanne, and cannot wait for what’s to come!! It’s been such a pleasure working with you thus far. Today we are sharing our tutorial for our Lattice Table Runner – a gorgeous quilted table runner that will instantly add some sparkle to your dinning or coffee table! We absolutely LOVE switching up and playing around with room décor, because they are a fun way to change up a look quickly, and at a lower cost. We really love sharing our home décor projects with you because, not only are they great for sprucing up a room, but they are so much fun to make. Triple win!

Our Lattice Table Runner is such a beautiful centerpiece to add to any table; it is a statement piece on its own! The intricate latticework on the table runner makes for a very pretty, fun, and modern feel that would look great with any fabric choice. We really love how it looks with our What’s Cookin’ by Allison Cole, as we think it’d be the perfect attention-grabber for a dazzling dinning table! Match it up with some bright and colorful kitchen accessories, and you’ve got yourself a kitchen with a contemporary, but retro vibe. Absolute LOVE! We are in the mood for some ice cream sodas now ;)
