DAY THREE of our Summer 2014 Collections Launch Week means it’s time to feature our third collection! On Monday we shared with you our Paddington Bear by Camelot Design Studio Collection, and yesterday, we featured our whimsical It’s a Bird’s Life Collection by Heather Rosas. Today we are launching our London Fog by Camelot Design Studio Collection! as the name suggests, London Fog is all about demureness and class. With its subdued color palette of warm grey, navy, turquoise, and mustard, London Fog reminds us of a cloudy, but cozy afternoon. Who wouldn’t love to snuggle up in a pretty quilt, with a warm mug of English Breakfast tea, listening to the rain fall? All you need are some fuzzy slippers, your cozy robe, your favorite book, and a blueberry scone or two…and you have yourself the perfect way to spend a rainy day!

There is a contemporary and elegant feel to this collection, and would make for the perfect shirt or tie pairing for your guy’s next event. And of course, we can’t forget our girls! A stunning morning robe or shift dress would be so lovely with our London Fog collection.We absolutely adore our Tumbling Jewels by the Cloth Parcel Quilt with this collection; the blue and grey hues complement one another perfectly to make a very sleek and modern quilt.

Happy Tuesday!! This week is our Summer 2014 Collections Launch Week, and we hope you have been enjoying our launched collections thus far. We have been posting a new collection everyday: Monday was our Paddington Bear Collection by the Camelot Design Studio, and today we launched It’s a Bird’s Life by Heather Rosas. Be sure to check out our previous blog posts on them, as well as the full collections and coordinating free projects on our website.

We have been branching into the crafting world, and now have a wonderful collection of felt! We have soft felt (printed and solid designs), hard felt (printed and solid), and adhesive felt (printed and solid) in 12×12″ pre-cuts – perfect for all your crafting and decorative needs. Our soft felt is also available by the yard, both in our printed and solid designs. Be sure to check all of our pretty felt designs and colors on our website!

In honor of our felt, we have got a very adorable and fun tutorial for this week’s How To’s Day. Today we are sharing with you our super sweet Basket of Fruits Tutorial. With all the delicious colors found in our felt collection, we were inspired to make something yummy (with names such as Melon, Raspberry, Bubblegum, and Chocolate…how couldn’t we be?). Our little fruit basket includes all of your favorites – a slice of watermelon, a banana, a pear, an apple, and a lemon – so sweet that they look almost good enough to eat.

This  felt and ad-fab™  project is perfect for playing with your little ones or for decorating a kitschy room. This would also be a great project to make with little kids; let them choose their favorite fruits and they can help cut out the shapes and glue on the pieces! It would be a fun way to spend an afternoon together. The fruit possibilities are endless, so have fun with this tutorial, and make your very own basket of yummy fruits!

It’s DAY TWO of our Summer 2014 Collections Launch Week! Did you see our first collection launch yesterday? We shared our newest license, our Paddington Bear Collection, and are obsessed with its sweetness. Today we are sharing with you our new It’s a Bird’s Life Collection by Heather Rosas! If you imagine all the things you love most about nature, a perfect and scenic day, that is what It’s a Bird’s Life is all about. This collection is beautiful and whimsical, enchanted by gorgeous floral designs and adorable birdies. There is something wonderfully majestic about being able to run freely through an abundance of colorful blooms. The colors in this collection are soft and cheerful hues of turquoise, red, grey, and yellow making It’s a Bird’s Life feminine and vintage-esque.

We can imagine a mother-daughter duo with matching voluminous skirts and floral crowns, or a floral infused living room with a It’s a Bird’s Life table runner and pillows. A little girl would be super cute in a It’s a Bird’s Life jumper, and she’s got to have her own little purse too, of course! Also, how stunning would a floral and bird-themed quilt be? :)

Happy Monday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend, and is ready for another great week. It’s an exciting week for us here at Camelot Fabrics because it is our Summer 2014 Launch Week! We will be launching a new collection every day this week. We started off our launch with our newest license: our Paddington Bear Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Time for this week’s Moody Monday! We are featuring one of our awesome licenses from Spring 2014 today, our Star Wars III Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. Our past Star Wars collections were huge successes, and we’ve gotten positive feedback for another SW collection, so we listened and brought you Star Wars III. Just as action-packed and brilliant as the previous two, Star Wars III brings you all of your favorite characters and designs. The vintage-inspired skus gives this collection an upbeat and impacting newness to our previous Star Wars collections, but keeping with the blue, red, and black hues of course! This collection is for all of our avid Star Wars enthusiasts! We think this collection would make for a brilliant quilt for a fellow SW fan, or how about an awesome Star Wars-themed party? The vibrant hues and space-inspired ensembles in David Koma’s Spring 2014 RTW Collection remind us our Star Wars III Collection. The intense blue hues, intricate leather detailing, and origami-inspired cuts of this collection give off a very out-of-this-worldly feel, and remind us of modern versions of the Star Wars’ uniforms. The clean styling, geometric cutouts, and overall modern esthetic of David Koma’s Spring 2014 are so fresh and innovative, and we absolutely adore this whole collection. It’s a SUPER exciting week because it is our Summer 2014 Launch Week!! We have FIVE new collections to share with you, and we will be launching one everyday this week. So be sure to stick around and see all the new & pretty fabrics we’ve got for you. It’s time for DAY ONE of our Summer 2014 Launch Week…

The first fabric collection we are launching is our very adorable and newest license…Paddington Bear by the Camelot Design Studio! The lovable Paddington Bear seriously brings us so much nostalgia, back to our childhood, and we are absolutely in adoration for this little guy. Our Paddington Bear collection encapsulates that sense of joy and happiness of childhood, and its muted, pastel hues makes this collection very soft and comforting. The collection includes beautiful illustrations of Paddington Bear, in his classic rain hat & wellies, and his adventures, making this collection the perfect choice for a nursery – themed curtains, crib bumper, rocking chair pillow, and baby quilt and your little one will have the absolute cutest of rooms!

Being the worldly traveler, all the way from Peru to London, Paddington Bear embarks on many adventures and, at times, mishaps. We think a Paddington Bear passport cover would the perfect fit, and would make finding your passport when traveling much easier. As well, a Paddington Bear quilt would be the perfect gift for a new mother or for a little on in your life; the narrative designs make this collection easy to incorporate into a quilt design, such as this one, this one, or this one.

 
And just in time, the Paddington Bear Movie will be released in the Fall of this year, and we are so thrilled! We cannot wait to see it in theaters.
