New Year, New Projects! It’s time to kick-start 2015 with our first How To’s Day. Today we are sharing our DIY Essentials Case – the perfect little companion for all your traveling and organizing needs. This awesome essentials case is perfect for traveling – put all your most used items into one pouch for easy access. So convenient! We know traveling can be super stressful, so compartmentalizing your items can be a real time- and stress-saver!

As well, our Essentials Case makes for a fantastic pencil case or cosmetics case, with its convenient size and soft shape. It also makes for a great case for holding all your beloved sewing supplies. And, not such a fan of daily household items looking “out of place” in your decor? We also love the idea of using our case to cover a baby wipes container or a stack of tissues!

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!! Oh, and Happy New Year! It is 2015…wait, what? Where did 2014 go? LOL. We had an amazing 2014, and are super excited for everything that is to come this year. It’s going to be a good one! :)

Starting off 2015 right with our Moody Monday, for your daily dose of inspiration. Today we are featuring our Marvel Comics II Collection by the Camelot Design Studio. This collection brings to life all of your fav9rite Marvel characters, from Spider-Man to Iron Man to the Hulk, and more! The colors in Marvel Comics II are bright and vivacious, the primary color scheme being blue, red, and grey. Deck out your little superhero-in-training’s bedroom with some Marvel Comics II pillows and coordinating tabbed curtains. And don’t forget about the little hero’s outfit. We love the idea of a Marvel Comics circle skirt or tie – and be sure to complete the look with a cape! ;) We also have lots of fun quilt patterns for all our fellow Marvel Comics enthusiasts!

We absolutely adored Versace’s Fall 2014 RTW Collection! The darker hues of burgundy and teal, followed by bright pops of color, gave this collection a very warm and romantic feel. There was definitely a military-esque look to the outfits, with the structured jackets, laced up boots, and button detailing. Even so, there was a femininity to this whole collection that was softened by the more delicate textures and silhouettes. We really loved this outfit, which was reminiscent our Marvel II Collection – strong and powerful! You can see the full collection here.

We hope we have inspired you with today’s post! We hope everyone is having a great 2015 thus far! Only more good things to come :)

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday!! We hope you all are having a great day! Our Double Winsdays are still running until January 7th, 2015 so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet. We are giving away our Kate FQ Bundle on our Instagram, and our Peacock Garden FQ Bundle on our Facebook Page. Double the holiday giveaways, double the fun, and double the chances of winning!! Woot woot! :)

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday, and it also happens to be the last Fan Friday…of 2014! Today we are featuring some adorable dolls that we found on Instagram from Heather. When we saw them, we squealed with the amount of adorableness and knew we just had to share! Heather comes from a family of quilters, and she taught herself to sew in 2006. It wasn’t long before she discovered doll making and knew she had found her niche in the sewing world. She opened up her Etsy Shop, Handmade by Heather, to share her dolls with others who will cherish them as much as she had making them.

Heather pays great attention to detail when making her sweet dolls; each handcrafted with lots of love, as well. She chooses fabrics that are bright and modern for their clothing. She also makes the sweetest mermaids that we are just head over heels for! Soso cute!!

Heather chose some of our collections for her dolls’ clothing, such as our Penelope and Mint Condition by Jackie McFee collections. They work wonderfully to bring her dolls to life, looking all sorts of stylish and pretty in their outfits!! :)

We want to thank Heather for choosing our fabrics! We are so happy you love our designs!! You can find these adorable dolls, and more from Heather, at her shop Handmade by Heather. You can also check out her Facebook Page and Instagram. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

It’s time for our What We Love! ♥ This will also be our last What We Love for 2014. So weird to say that; it seems as though the last couple months of the year just whizzed by. We started our What We Love segment on the blog in June, and have had so much fun sharing with you a little bit more about us. We get especially excited on Thursdays because we get to choose our weekly “image”, and trust us, we don’t take it lightly. LOL. This week, we also wanted to include another bonus “what we love” and that would be all of YOU. We love you guys every week, but wanted to let you know. We appreciate you sosososo much. More than you’ll ever know. Okay, enough sappiness lol. Onto what else we’ve loved most this week… ♥

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you are all having a lovely day. Just a reminder…our two holiday giveaways are still going strong until January 7th! You can enter on our Instagram and Facebook for some bundles of fabric prettiness!! :)

It’s time for our Thankful Thursday!! Soso much to be thankful for, and as this year is coming to an end, we have been reminiscing of all the wonderful people we have met and all the incredible partnerships we have been a part of. Thank you to each and every person who has filled our year with bunches of creativity, fun, excitement, and color!!

And speaking of amazing partnerships, we are thanking BurdaStyle today. We adore the BurdaStyle Magazine because it is a great source for all things sewing and fabric-related, with a modern twist…and lots of awesome fashion tidbits, which we appreciate. They know the latest and upcoming trends, and coordinate their articles and projects accordingly. It’s getting your seasonal source of fashion & trends AND fantastic patterns/tutorials/sewing tips all in one!! Yup, we’re big fans. In their latest magazine issue for Winter 2015, the theme was all about getting cozy, while staying chic, during the colder months. Their cover photo features the coolest of faux fur coats that we are just in love with! SO fab!
