Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! We hope everyone is having a great day. It’s the last day of February, and we are wondering where the time has gone. February seriously flew by! We’re very excited for the start of March, and for all the amazing things to come…and also for Spring! We are in need of some warmer weather.

Today is also Fan Friday on the blog, and we are featuring a wonderful Etsy Shop today with the absolute cutest name! A Tiny Forest is a lovely business, started by Kim Payne, creating stunning and high-quality handcrafted products that are also very practical for everyday use. What started as a passion to sew, quickly sparked into a very successful little business! ” I love to make items that are useful and practical, but also lovely and unique.  My little shop, A Tiny Forest, was born of that desire.  It’s just me and a sewing machine, and I do everything from the design phase all the way to shipping.  I also have the responsibility of caring for my family, so it’s a delicate balance.”

A Tiny Forest Mason Jar Bag using Iconic by Camelot Fabrics

According to Kim, mason jars are all the rage…and we definitely agree! Mason jar ideas are always being pinned on Pinterest, and for good reason – there are so many different things you can do with them. And Pinterest makes us want to do them all! One awesome idea from Kim is to use them to pack leftovers for lunch. That’s what she was doing for her husband, packing his work lunch in mason jars, but because they are glass it wasn’t the easiest to transport. That’s when Kim’s mason jar bags were born!

The mason jar bags feature pocket sleeves inside to segment and hold the jars, and even fold out if you want to carry something else! The bags come in several sizes to carry quart-sized, pint-sized, & half pint-sized jars and sturdy handles to carry all your goods. As well, Kim has an eye for pretty designs and chooses a great selection of fabric collections for her products that are playful and fresh. We especially adore that Kim chooses a matching, equally fun, print for the interior! Kim chose our Iconic collection and we think this bag is absolutely beautiful!! We definitely would love to take this bag to work or to the local market with us – so pretty and stylish!!

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday! We hope you are all having a fantastic day!! It’s super cold here and we should be expecting a couple more centimeters of snow, we’re hoping it will be the last with the end of February nearing.

Today we are announcing the winner of our Chalkboard Fabric Giveaway! We want to thank everyone for taking the time to participate in last week’s Winsday. We wanted to know what you would create with our chalkboard fabric, and we received lots of innovative and great answers!! We have the most creative readers ever!! :)

After reading all the answers, it was definitely not an easy feat to choose just one. But alas, we can only choose one winner for our giveaway. Our chalkboard fabric winner is…

Chalkboard_fabric_Giveaway_Winner

Congratulations, Lacey Dudiak!! Everyone had such creative answers, but we especially adored Lacey’s idea “I teach little ones with learning difficulties, and I would turn this chalkboard fabric into many different letter-tracing/fine-motor/spatial awareness activities! I could also use it to sew a small patch on a student’s backpack (maybe heart or star shape) to write notes or reminders on that are visible right before they leave school!  Or, I could add a fun bias edging and turn it into a multi-purpose floor mat- hopscotch, car mat, jump to the letter, etc. OK… I need this!” – We hope you enjoy our chalkboard fabric, Lacey!

Be sure to look out for next week’s Winsday! It’s going to be another fun one. Until next post, have a great day everyone!! :)

As well, one of our biggest projects as of late has been our Free Projects section on our website and blog! Since the launch of our Camelot Fabrics blog back in September 2013, we have been posting a new free project every week! From adorable baby shoes to DIY chalkboard banners to plush stegosauruses…we’ve crafted a multitude of amazing projects for you all, with free instructions, diagrams, and patterns. One of the greatest things has been the positive feedback and the pictures sent to us of our projects, from you all! So thank you, keep sending them to us! :)

Along with our free projects, we have been partnering with some very talented quilt designers to create one-of-a-kind quilt patterns for our website. Our fabric collections have a fresh and modern twist to them, and all the quilt designs reflect our style perfectly. All the free quilt designs include the instructions, diagrams, and necessary skus in PDF format which you can check out here. We wanted to thank all our wonderful quilt designers for creating some incredible quilt designs for us! You guys rock!! :)

Camelot Fabrics: Diamond Sparkle Quilt by The Quilted Button

Today we are featuring one of our quilt designs for this week’s How To’s Day. Larene Smith, from The Quilted Button, designed this sweet baby quilt called Diamond Sparkle. You can use any fabric of your choice, but we think this quilt looks especially darling with our Dream a Little Dream Collection by Heather Rosas. Today we thought we’d provide a step-by-step on how to create your very own Diamond Sparkle Quilt – the perfect blanket for all the little ones you know!

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday everyone! We hope you are all having a beautiful start to the week. We are heading into the week of love…Valentine’s Day is already this coming Friday! Get ready for LOTS of Valentine’s Day inspired posts coming your way this week. As well, we are hosting our Betty Boop FQ bundle Giveaway on our blog which ends this Wednesday. ♥

To start off this week, it’s time for a little Moody Monday inspiration! Today we are sharing our Let’s Go by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio Collection. Let’s Go is a woodsy and warm collection, decorated in fall-inspired hues of orange, turquoise, rust, and grey.

This collection features a mix of pretty feathers, mountains, foxes, teepees, and raccoons…all the things to remind you of the wonders of the outside. This collection is rustic and cozy, making you want to go outside and explore the great outdoors! Imagine how adorable your little one would be sporting a frilly dress or bowtie in our Let’s Go collection? Add a couple of cozy blankets, a warm bonfire, and S’mores…and you’ve got yourself the ultimate camping trip!

Fall is still a whiles away (we are still in Winter, dreaming of Spring hehe), but our Let’s Go collection reminds us of those brisk and cozy days. One upcoming autumn collection we’re inspired by is Missoni’s RTW Fall Collection. This collection is a wonderful display of hues of grey, orange, and green. The colors are still vibrant, but keep in the theme of fall time appropriate with added volume, cashmere, and kimono-style jackets. Layering is key during the cooler months, and all of the pieces shown in Missoni’s collection are perfect for that. The colors and mood of this collection remind us of our Let’s Go by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio collection. You can see the full Missoni collection here!

We hope you have been inspired by today’s Moody Monday! We are looking forward to a love-filled week. Have a great day!

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day so far. Have you seen our last Winsday? We are currently giving away a Betty Boop FQ Bundle this week! Click here to enter by telling us what outfit makes you feel the most confident :)

Today is Thursday, which means it’s time for another Thankful Thursday post on the blog. We experienced our first Craft & Hobby Show this year, and it was absolutely fantastic. We had such a wonderful time! You can check out our CHA 2014 Show blog post for more on what we had been up to. We met so many lovely bloggers and crafters who gave us such positive feedback on our newest products, such as our felt and Ad-Fab™! Some crafters even took some back to their stations to test them on silhouette and die-cutting machines, with great reviews back.

We wanted to thank everyone who took the time to test out our products at the show, as well as those who mentioned us on their blogs! It was so great getting to meet everyone, so thank you for the kind words. ♥

Craft Test Dummies noticed that “sticky” products seemed to be a continuous theme at the show, and loved our adhesive felt and Ad-Fab™.

Dinah, from DIY Inspired, enjoyed our Make & Take and Chalkboard Photobooth stations and looked super adorable with our felt glasses!

Our Make & Take section let visitors create their very own coffee cozies with our Ad-Fab™. With our Ad-Fab™, making a coffee cozie is such a quick and simple project that can jazz up any coffee cup instantly! Love the one you made, Tori!

Angie, from The Country Chic Cottage , was super impressed with our new felt line and mentioned on her blog that our felt “is definitely the prettiest felt I have ever seen…ever.  I love” – We definitely concur!! :) Look how pretty our felt is all stacked up together!

Crafty Deaf Dog Mama wrote up a blog post focusing on silhouette products at the CHA. She was one of the crafters who tested our products for us, and gave her feedback on the blog post. She mentions that our hard and soft felts work perfectly with her silhouette, and cut some pretty hearts from it. So happy she enjoyed our products! You can read the full blog post for more here.

As well, we wanted to thank Fave Crafts Blog for the sweet Chalkboard Booth mention in their CHA recap post, and No Idle Hands Here for listing us in her “up and comers to the crafting industry” – So happy you stopped by and enjoyed our products!

Thank you so much to the wonderful ladies for mentioning us, our felt and Ad-Fab™ products, our Make & Take and Chalkboard Booth, and for the great feedback – We truly appreciate it! As well, if you have mentioned us on your blog, we’d love to hear from you! Have a fantastic rest of the day everyone :)
