Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! It was super sunny and hot this weekend for us; the humidity was definitely at its high…but it was the perfect weekend for sitting by the pool, with a summer cocktail (or jumping into the pool too!). Have you seen our What We Love post? We are starting a new feature on the blog sharing with you all what we, the Camelot Design Studio, loved most for the week! :)
It’s time to start off this sunshine-filled week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Cove by Camelot Design Studio collection for Spring 2014. Encapsulated in a calm colour palette of powdered blue, tan, and muted grey…this collection is very ocean-inspired. The clear waters, the gritty sand, and the smell of the salty air…these are some of things we love most about the beach, and Cove brings us back to that place. Cove mixes calming colors with modern prints of ikats, fretworks, and hexagons and would be the perfect setting for a ocean-themed room. Think tide colored pillows, a cozy blue and tan quilt, and some decorative sea glass pieces to finish off the look. If you can’t get to the beach, then creating something or decorating with Cove is the next best thing! Check out all the full Cove collection HERE!
One collection that reminds us of our Cove Collection is that of M.Patmos’ Spring 2014 RTW line. Soft hues are always on-trend for the Spring and Summer, but we have been seeing a lot of powdered blues on the runways for Spring 2014, such as at the Nina Ricci and Marchesa shows too.
There is just something so calming and serene about this muted blue color that we especially adore, which is perfect for contrasting against the hot summer temperatures. M.Patmos’ collection is a mixture of blues, greens, and tans which reminds us of clear, tropical waters. This look especially reminds us of Cove, with the stunning woven sweater and accompanying tan & powdered blue accessories. Such a beach-y look! You can check out the full collection here.

Today is our last day of Our Spring 2014 Collections Launch – we share with you our two final collections. We really hope you have been enjoying all of our Spring 2014 Collections; you can see all the blog posts of each individual collection here, as well as all the designs here. Our next collection we are sharing is…Black & Tan by Camelot Design Studio!
Black & Tan is infused with rich and exuberant neutrals – black, cognac, marigold, and white make this collection minimalistic, yet modern with its chic prints. This collection includes beautiful houndstooth, fretwork, herringbone, and leopard print patterns, keeping Black & Tan classic but trendy. Black & Tan has a very affluent vibe, and makes us want to take a shopping trip to New York City. Off to Barneys and Saks 5th Avenue, please! ;) We can imagine a very sleek Black & Tan clutch, matched with a neutral-printed midi skirt. And how about a quilt or two to decorate a space? Because of its neutral colors and prints, a Black & Tan quilt would be perfect with any décor!
The gorgeous quilt below is our Chevron Quilt by Fabric Confetti! You can get the free pattern for it on our website here. It’s a stunner with Black & Tan!
We really hope you enjoy our Black & Tan collection! Be sure to let us know which if your favorite design. You can check out the free projects with this collection here, here, here, here, and here. One more collection to launch to end our Spring 2014 Collections Week. Stay tuned!

It’s time for another launch from our Spring 2014 Collections! We have got another delicious, vibrant collection for you with Spectrum by Camelot Design Studio!! Infused with citrus-inspired colors of bright yellows, oranges, purples, and greens, Spectrum will definitely quench your thirst for all things sweet and summery. A mixture of ikat, chevron, tessellation, and fretwork patterns…this pattern is fun and vivacious, and makes us happy. Spectrum brings us back to the nostalgia of younger years, wearing pretty summer dresses & drinking sour lemonade…actually, we still love those things today ;)
We can imagine lots of pretty summer frocks in citrus-infused prints and colors with Spectrum, as well as a tote for the Farmer’s Market! We also love bright home décor, so a couple of chevron pillows in this collection would make any space delightful! Or how about a quilt, such as our Tumbling Jewels Quilt by The Cloth Parcel – super modern and pretty! You can find the free pattern for this quilt here.
We hope our Spectrum Collection has brightened your day!! You can check out the free tutorials using Spectrum on our website here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. We really hope that you have been enjoying our Spring 2014 collections…there’s more to come too :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Sending you all positive vibes today for a great start to the week!
And to kick start this week, it’s time for our Moody Monday post. Today we are inspired by our beautiful black and gold collection, Nightfall by The Camelot Design Studio! Nightfall is a black- and white-based collection, with intricate metallic gold details of dots, chevrons, houndstooth, and tassels. This collection is very reminiscent of the Great Gatsby times; it sparkles, it shines, it is just stunning!! It is the perfect collection for anyone looking a bit of extra dazzle in their wardrobe or home – this metallic gold printed fabric collection will not disappoint!
One fashion collection that emphasizes our stunning black and gold collection is that of Dries Van Noten’s Spring 2014 line. The collection includes some colour with its muted floral prints, but it is the cream, black, and gold accents that greatly stand out. The gold ruffles, embossments, and textures pop against its black and cream backgrounds making each clothing piece all the more elegant, rich, and like works of art.
What makes this collection exceptionally beautiful is the great attention to detail, even with the limited color palette, that instead chooses to focus of texture and shape which reminds us of our Nightfall fabric designs. Pops of gold are definitely in, and metallic will be on-trend for the upcoming Spring 2014 season! You can see Drie Van Noten’s exquisite collection here.
We hope you have been inspired by today’s Moody Monday! Have a great day everyone :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a lovely weekend. There are 9 days till Christmas!! We’re excited to try out some new cookie recipes, make pretty snowflake garlands, and play in the bountifulness of snow that we’ve accumulated this past weekend. What are you most excited for? “Christmas snow can never disappear completely. It sometimes goes away for almost a year at a time and takes the form of spring and summer rain. But you can bet your boots that when a good, jolly December wind kisses it, it will turn into Christmas snow all over again.” – Santa Claus in Frosty the Snowman
It’s time for another Moody Monday! Today we are sharing with you our Penelope by the Camelot Design Studio moodboard. Penelope is a very pretty and feminine collection of floral, chevron, bauble, and cross prints in beautiful pastel blends. The array of muted aqua, coral, grey, and yellow make the designs soft and ethereal, and the perfect backdrop for elegant dresses, accessories, and home decor pieces. Feminine and sweet, this sorbet-infused collection is perfect for any fashionista!
In the same color scheme, Erdem’s Spring 2013 RTW collection was brightly infused with pastel colors, ladylike silhouettes, and soft prints. I especially adore the juxtaposition of tough and soft with the mix of lace, snakeskin print, cutouts, mesh, and floral appliques. Such a beautiful collection, and so reminiscent of our Penelope collection! So hard to choose but click here, here, and here for my favorites, and here for the rest of the collection!
We hope you were inspired by today’s Moody Monday post! We’ve also got a Freddie’s Friends and fabric giveaway running on our blog. Tell us your favorite DIY project from us, and you could be our winner. Enter here! Have a wonderful rest of the day.
