It’s all about What We Love today! ♥ As always, we are so inspired by everything around us…and love to pin it all on our Pinterest Boards. This week, we have been particularly drawn to people who “capture the moments” of life. There is something so wonderful about being able to get a glimpse of another person’s visions and ideas. We are not able to read one another’s thoughts, but we can get someone’s personal perspective in a photograph or print that they took or create. It’s interesting to ask ourselves, “why did that person choose to paint/draw/capture/create that specific moment?”. Onto what we love… ♥

We absolutely adore this photograph taken of a little girl completely and wholeheartedly losing herself to the music – something that a lot of us lose when we get older. It is such an impacting moment. We love capturing moments, and this fun Polaroid camera (in pink!) has been a current favorite of ours. We also adore this amazing print by Aurelie Guillerey, this wild fern leaf clutch by Kertis, and John Henry Dearle’s “Harmony” stained glass window.

Everyone’s thoughts are unique to them, which is so special, so it’s mesmerizing to see how one person’s “capturing of a moment” in time differs from someone else’s. We encourage you to “capture your own moments” wherever you are, whether on vacation or even in your own backyard. We hope we have inspired you today, but we sure to check out our Pinterest for even more! ♥

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope you’re all having a great day so far. If you didn’t see yesterday’s post, we are giving away our Petite Plume FQ Bundle on our Facebook Page this week. Head on over there to let us know which of our Summer 2014 Collections is your favorite, so a chance to win Petite Plume.

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are taking the time to thank one of our wonderful project designers, Jen of Tie Dye Diva! Jen didn’t start off her career path in the sewing patterns world, but has always had a love for crafting and sewing. Jen was working a 12-hour desk job before realizing she wanted to do something of her true passion. In 2007, she started to create downloadable sewing patterns that were easy-to-follow and fun…and she was able to turn her passion into a business!

Jen is now a designer of sewing patterns, focusing on classing clothing designs for babies and kids. There is also a good mix in difficulty level, from patterns for a beginner sewer to an advanced seamstress. Jen has a wonderful library of sewing patterns, from adorable little girl dresses, to little boy pants, to cute plushies, and more. Her patterns have also been featured in several publications, such as Sewn Hats by Carla Hegeman Crim and Stash Books’ Hat Shop: 25 Projects to Sew, from Practical to Fascinating (Design Collective) , compiled by Susanne Woods, and is a workshop instructor at Craftsy.

Jen’s sewing patterns can be found on her Etsy Shop, as well as on her website. We got into contact with Jen after Spring Quilt Market, and had the absolute pleasure of partnering with her on a sewing pattern project. I LOVE ruffles and bows, so Jen created the most *adorable* Tunic Dress and Bloomers Play Set…featuring, yes you guessed it, ruffles AND bows. LOVE!! They are the absolute cutest things ever, and look even more sweet with our Petite Plume Collection. We are so in love with this play set! How adorable would a little tot look in this? *Swoon*

We want to say a HUGE thank you to Jen for the incredible partnership, and of course for the sweetest of play sets! We cannot wait for what’s to come in the near future, so stay tuned! Be sure to check out Jen’s sewing patterns on her Etsy Shop and website, as well as her Facebook, Twitter, blog, and Craftsy Pages. Have a wonderful day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope you all having a fabulous day so far. We cannot believe that there are only two more weeks till September…is it time to start taking out the fall coats and boots yet? We’re excited for what’s to come in Autumn, but hoping we’ll get a few more hot-weather days! :)

It’s time for this week’s How To’s Day! And boy, oh, boy are we excited to share our newest friend with you all. We got so many amazing responses on our Endearing Elephants and Roonie the Raccoon, we just had to bring a new guy to the clan! Today we are sharing our Wallace the Whale tutorial on the blog, our adorable and friendly whale plushie who just makes our hearts swoon. Wallace is a larger sized plush animal, so he is perfect as a cuddly pillow and toy for your little nuggets. He would look so sweet in an “under the sea” themed kid’s bedroom or nursery – both decorative and super huggable!

Who says that toys have to be primary colors and an eyesore? We love that Wallace the Whale can be made with the most stylish of fabrics – we love the fun prints we used from our Design Studio Collection. Wallace is looking quite dashing, if you ask us! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! We hope you all had a restful and fun weekend, working on some crafty projects or just taking it easy. If you’re looking for a new project, be sure to check out all of our latest How To’s Day! We’ve got some pretty fantastic in-house and outsourced projects, such as our Teeny Tiny Play Set and Felt Citrus Party Tags.

To help start off this week, we’ve got our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Opposites Attract by Jackie McFee, from Summer 2014. This may be a collection of basic colors, but our Opposites Attract Collection is anything but simple. The lively and cheerful designs make these two neutral colors pop and dance on the fabric! This collection includes intricate chevron, floral, dot, scroll, and geometric patterns – who says black and white has to be boring? ;) We love the idea of a black, white, or black & white outfit with a pop of color in the accessories, or vice versa. We think our foldover wedding clutch is the perfect chic accessory for any upcoming party, and a black & white quilt is SO modern. We absolutely adore the look of our Elevation pillow in black & white prints too!

Black and white are SO chic! There is something so elegant about a simple black and white ensemble. Because the color palette is limited, you’re left to play with different patterns and textures to add interest to your outfit. One designer that particular reminds us of Opposites Attract is Ralph Lauren‘s Spring 2014 Collection. Lauren’s collection is a mix of colors, but the ensembles that we particularly loved are the black & white ones…of course haha. We LOVED the floral and chevron patterns, and the cool mix of prints in one outfit. Lauren knows how to have fun with fashion, and this collection definitely showed that. When a designer can create a fabulous outfit with limited colors, they are brilliant…and Lauren definitely is! You can check out the full collection HERE.

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! We hope you are having a lovely end of the week. We are excited for the weekend – hoping for some better so that we can enjoy the last weekends of Summer! If you haven’t seen our latest How To’s Day, be sure to check it out. We shared our Teeny Tiny Play Set (Part 2) by Tie Dye Diva Patterns this week, and are obsessed with its adorableness!!

Another of our adorable project partnerships has been with Sweetbriar Sisters! They created the sweetest mother-baby elephant duo, and we have gotten such a positive response on these. We LOVE our Endearing Elephants, and are so happy to have them available as a free pattern. We definitely concur though, because they are just TOO cute!! :) We were tagged on Instagram by Jenny who made her own versions of our elephants, and we got soo excited!! How cute are they?! We just had to share them on our blog today for this week’s Fan Friday. Jenny is a teacher, and is busy getting ready for the upcoming school year. She is making these elephants for her students this year, and we think that is the sweetest idea ever! :)

She is on a roll! Jenny has been enjoying making our elephants, and said that they are so fun to make! We absolutely adore the color and fabric combinations she chose; they are all unique but equally adorable. She also made one with flannel, which she adores. Such a great idea!! Jenny is also giving away a mother-baby elephant duo on her blog this week! If you want to enter, be sure to click HERE for your chance to win.
