Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our project designers, Sarah of Sarah Laws Made. Sarah is a modern quilter and artist from Portland, who absolutely adores all things creative and beautiful. She works from her home studio, and works in different mediums that allow her to let her creativity shine. She adores all things fresh and modern, which definitely shows in her project designs – screen-printing, quilting, and becoming a chocolatier are only some of her many talents. She shares her wonderful creations on her blog, Sarah Laws Made, and also on her Etsy Shop.

We were able to collaborate with the talented Sarah on a couple of quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program. We adored Sarah’s unique and funky style, and her quilt patterns definitely reflected that. Her first quilt, New Bohemian, is an intricate quilt design of squares and triangles that make up the coolest of patterns. We absolutely love how it looks with our Fresh Solids Collection, the bright colors going so well with one another.

The Diamond Emblem Quilt is definitely a favorite! The design is different and geometric, and looks so pretty with our Peacock Garden Collection. Both of these quilts would look fantastic in a modern bedroom or living room, either as a bed spread or even wall decor. How fabulous would these quilts look in a fun, boho-inspired room? Absolute gorgeousness!

We are so thrilled that we got to work with Sarah, and cannot wait for what’s to come in the future! At Camelot Fabrics, we have a unique style and think that Sarah’s designs are perfect representations of it. Thank you for the stunning quilt designs, Sarah!! Happy Wednesday! We hope you all are having a fantastic day. Have you seen our latest DIY? We shared our beautiful No-Sew Pillow Tutorial yesterday; be sure to check it out HERE if you haven’t. It’s a great project for those days you feel crafty but don’t have a lot of time!

It’s time for our first Winsday of the year!! Woot woot!! And we are so incredibly ecstatic to share this one with you all. For all our fellow Paddington Bear fans, we’re sure you know that the official movie hits theaters (in Canada and the USA) this Friday. We’ve grown up watching & reading Paddington Bear, so we cannot wait to watch the movie. It’s definitely going to be nostalgic!

In the heart of the movie premiere, we wanted to host this week’s Facebook Giveaway with our Paddington Bear Collection. This week’s prize is 3 1/2 yards of our Paddington Bear Collection. Happy Tuesday! We hope you all are having a great day. Another Tuesday, another fun DIY project for you all..

Yup, that’s right! It’s time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our beautiful No-Sew Pillow Tutorial. This relatively simple project is especially perfect for beginners, who are just starting to get into the crafting world. This tutorial does not require a ton of time to make, so it’s a great project for transforming any interior space. Having guests over but want to quickly spruce up your living room? Need to film a pretty, but quick DIY project for a friend? Feeling crafty, but don’t have a sewing machine? This is the project for you! (…and anyone else just looking for a fun project to try! ;))

Make a plethora of them and pile them all together on the floor to lie in! So so comfy! As well, we shared our No-Sew Pillow with our Pastel Me More Collection – the colors are fresh, happy, and exuberant – but this pillow would look amazing with any print.

Happy Friday! So excited that it’s just about the weekend. We’ve made it through our first week back!! We hope everyone had a pleasant one :)

It’s time to end the week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a stunning Nightfall Dress created by the awesome sewing-related blog, Sew It Up. Sew It Up is run by two crafty ladies, Caroline, who owns her own business, and Hanne, a part-time visual arts/sewing teacher. They created Sew It Up to showcase their creativity and love for all things sewing & fabric related. They offer sewing contests for those in Belgium and the Netherlands, with different themes, where participants can join in and share their creations. Each participant is able to showcase their unique talents and skills, and allows them to come together in the ever-growing sewing community. We think that is such a fantastic idea, and love the idea of showcasing others’ talents to fellow sewers.

A recent contest was to create a New Year’s Eve inspired outfit! They created a stunning party dress with our Nightfall Collection and we just had to share it with you all! They used the Kim Dress Pattern by By Hand London which looks incredible with our metallic fabric. From the sweetheart neckline to the semi-capped sleeves to the pockets, everything about this dress is oh-so-lovely and the epitome of being the perfect party dress. We adore how sophisticated it becomes with the simple addition of a blazer. But on it’s own, the metallic printed fabric definitely gives this dress “knockout” status. It is divine!

We want to thank Sew It Up for the fabric love – we are so happy that you love our fabric and chose it for your NYE party dress! We are so happy that we got to see the dress. Seeing our fabric collections turn into physical projects is the best feeling in the world! Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a great day thus far. Today we woke up to a breezy -26C, with a windchill of -36C. Hello frozen face, frozen legs, and frozen toes. Oh man, it was NOT pleasant to be walking out there.

But we’re warming things up with some love today, with our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our project designers, Cindy of Quilt Doodle Designs. Cindy has always been a sewing enthusiast, having been encouraged by her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She learnt about sewing and quilting as a small child, and her love for the craft has only blossomed into adulthood. Cindy has been doing some quilt sketches before a quilt retreat, when the idea to bring “sketches to life”, with creating her own patterns, came to life! She started Quilt Doodle Designs to offer her fun and whimsical quilt patterns and appliques to a wide array of skilled quilters. Cindy now offers a multitude of different quilt patterns, in correlation with her quilt blog adventures & BOMs.

We had the pleasure of working with Cindy to create a free, exclusive quilt pattern for our Free Projects Program. We absolutely adore her Flower Power Quilt because it is unique and soso pretty. We love the flower appliques, and think it looks wonderful with our Petite Plume Collection. Such a whimsical and creative quilt design!
