Happy Thursday! And Happy October!! It definitely feels like fall today – crisp and chilly this morning! Definitely needed to bundle up in my blanket scarf… Brr!!
Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! We are sharing some super exciting news with you all today!! Missouri Star Quilt Co. is a family-owned quilt shop located in Hamilton, Missouri with the sweetest story ever. Mom, dad, and their seven children moved from California to Missouri, but after the market crash and dip in the newspaper industry, things got a little tough. Two of the kids had an idea to help out their parents towards retirement. They bought a small building and started the Missouri Star Quilt Co.– selling a few quilting supplies and offering some machine quilting services to start.
They quickly found success – in part due to mom, Jenny, who became the quilting instructor and started a quilting YouTube channel(which is now the most subscribed and watched quilting channel!). They also have an online shop, with great deals every week! They have now expanded, but the love for family & fabric is continuous and strong.
This month, they are hosting one of the greatest fabric sweepstakes of the year – the Golden Star Sweepstakes! And we are so excited to be a part of it. With your order, you will receive a golden ticket. Best part? Every scratch card is a winner!! Included in the prizes is lots and lots of pretty Camelot Fabrics bundles ;) The grand prize is a VIP shopping spree to the quilting capital of the world, which includes meeting the amazing Jenny herself! See the video for more info – it will also make your afternoon! :)
We are so thrilled to a part of such an incredible sweepstakes!! THIS is the ultimate giveaway for all fabric lovers!! You can find out all the deadlines in the video, as well as here. Get your scratch card and see what you win!! Have a great day!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are having a better weather day than us – gloomy, cold, and rainy :( But, what better way to warm us up than with a mug of mulled cider (yup, you guessed it – it’s National Mulled Cider Day ;)). Sounds SO good to us right now!
Time for this week’s Winsday! Last week, we hosted our Green with Envy FQB Giveaway on our Facebook Page. To get us excited for Fall, we asked you what your favorite Fall treat was. From delicious pumpkin and apple recipes to fun, autumn activities – we had a blast reading all of your comments! So wonderful seeing all the sweet remarks about the collection too – the rich green and navy hues are a match made in heaven! But now, what you’ve all been waiting for. The winner of our Green with Envy bundle is…
Congratulations, ! You are the winner of our Green with Envy FQB!! We are so thrilled for you, and can’t wait to see what you create with this collection. Please email us your mailing address to info@camelotfabrics.com by October 7th, 2015. A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in our giveaway. Until next Winsday…
Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a lovely day. Today is National Coffee Day, and though I am not a huge coffee drinker (tea for me, please!), the smell of coffee however, is quite heavenly. Mmm…
For this week’s How To’s Day, we are sharing our Whimsical Quilt by The Quilted Button. The Whimsical Quilt is a 3×4-block quilt pattern, each square composed of alternately-placed rectangles and squares. The completed quilt pattern has a super fun, “whimsical” feel to it – which makes for a great quilt to use with lots of fabric designs. We chose to feature our The Beach House by Jack!e McFee Collection with our Whimsical Quilt. We love the oceanic-feel of the quilt, especially in the tide colorway, which would be perfect for a beach home or sea-inspired room. Such a gorgeous quilt!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Did anyone catch a glimpse of the Supermoon lunar eclipse yesterday? I was able to see the reddish-hued moon from outside my house, and it was such a cool thing to see!!
Starting off this week with our Moody Monday! We’ve decided to take a dip into the interior side of design, so bring you some home inspiration. Even though it is officially sweather weather, we are so obsessed with our tropical and bright Under the Sea by Heather Rosas Collection! Its aqua, coral, and green hues remind us of the ocean – and we can’t forget about the adorable sea creatures! Mermaids, crabs, fishies, and seahorses – oh SO cuteeeee!
Matchbook Magazine had shared this sea life-inspired bathroom decor, with a lobster wallpaper. I mean… how adorable is that?! We think it the perfect wallpaper to go with an ocean-themed room – but still having a modern, feminine twist! We couldn’t find the exact link on their website, but you can check out their Pinterest for more decor inspiration.
We hope we have inspired with today’s post!! It’s fall, but doesn’t mean we can’t still love our bright colors ;) Have a fantastic day!
Happy Friday! How is everyone doing? It’s just about the weekend, the last weekend of Summer. And it’s supposed to be a gorgeous one here, so we’re excited to blissfully enjoy it!
Ending a wonderful week with our Fan Friday! Today we are sharing an absolutely gorgeous clambake quilt by Lorrie of SewMod.Lorrie used a Clambake pattern from Crazy Old Ladies Quilts, which is an awesome fat quarter-friendly quilt design. This clambake quilt has a very pretty scalloped-like design, which with our Paradise Collection, gives the quilt a feminine and dainty feel.
A few words from Lorrie:
“The Paradise Clambake quilt will be making it’s first appearance this weekend at my first fall quilt show. I’m expecting the kits to go quickly since it turned out so beautiful. I can’t wait to see my customers reactions. I know there will be some oohs & ahhs! The quilt measures a good throw size at approx. 54″ x 60″ and was quilted by a local long-arm quilter here in Chicagoland, Suzette Fisher.”
Thank you so much for the fabric love, Lorrie!! Your quilt is sososososo gorgeous, and we hope your customers love it as much as we do (oh we know they will ;))! Be sure to check out more from Lorrie on her blog and Instagram. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!! :)
