Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday!! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far. So much wind here today! The sun is out and there’s snow on the ground…but it’s freezing out there, so we’re glad to be inside. It’s the last day to enter our Fresh Solids Giveaway on our Facebook Page, so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet. It’s a good one, guys!

And speaking of our Fresh Solids…this week’s How To’s Day features our stunning solids in our New Bohemian Quilt by Sarah Laws Made. Sarah Laws created a couple of wonderful exclusive free quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program, which we are so incredibly enthused to share with you. Sarah’s style is modern and fresh, characteristics that embody who we are at Camelot Fabrics so we were thrilled to work with such a creative pattern designer. Our New Bohemian Quilt is a quilt of triangles sewn together to create a really cool pattern of intricate details and geometric shapes. The colors from our Fresh Solids are vibrant and exuberant, and work perfectly together to create this boho-inspired design.

Our New Bohemian Quilt is a stunner, and would look amazing as a bedspread or even as wall decor. We love this one, and are so happy to have gotten to work with Sarah. Click MORE to see the full tutorial for this quilt!

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday! Wishing everyone a fantastic start to the week. We woke up to flurries, and it is currently still coming down. Time to bring out the parkas and winter boots!! Also, have you entered our Fresh Solids FQB Giveaway yet? Be sure to enter on our Facebook Page by letting us know what your favorite fresh solid is.

It’s time to start off the week with some inspiration, with our Moody Monday! Today we are featuring our gorgeous Wildflowers by Alisse Courter Collection. This whimsy collection is full of dainty floral prints, fluttery vines, and lovely sprigs in comforting chartreuse, grey, turquoise, and coral hues. So elegant and pretty, this collection would make for a sweet little girl’s dress or full circle skirt. As well, we love the idea of adding a Wildflowers quilt draped on a couch or bed to add a touch of femininity.

Vera Wang’s Spring 2015 RTW Collection was brooding and dark, but the prints and silhouettes were far from simple. Keeping the color palette relatively simple – blacks and neutral floral prints – Vera chose to focus on silhouettes and texture. Lots of ruffles, brocade, floral, and sparkle, as well as flowing draping textiles. Such a stunning collection! We especially loved this dress, which reminded us of our Wildflowers Collection, with its dainty coral florals. You can see the rest of the collection here!

We hope you have been inspired by this week’s Moody Monday! We would love to know what trends you are looking forward to for the Spring season (yup, we know we’re just at the cusp of winter…but hey, we can dream of warmer weather lol). Have a good one!

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! TGIF!! We woke up to some very light flurries this morning – they were like little, feathery sprinkles and were so pretty against the sunshine… And speaking of sunshine, have you entered our Fresh Solids Giveaway? We are giving away an FQ bundle of our Fresh Solids on our Facebook Page this week!

Time for this week’s Fan Friday!! Today we are featuring some incredibly beautiful items using our Nightfall Collection from Amanda Fair Designs. Two of Amanda’s biggest passions have always been sewing and fabric shopping, both of which she adores equally (but thankfully compliment one another perfectly). Amanda decided to take her hobbies to Etsy and opened up her own business called Amanda Fair Designs. Amanda Fair Designs is a collection of Amanda’s handmade, unique items that are beautifully crafted and made of the highest quality fabrics. They are her “perfectly imperfect handmade goods”. Amanda focuses on bags designs – from tote bags to clutches to tablet cases – that are all so equally pretty and stylish.

Amanda loves Camelot Fabrics, and has chosen some of our collections for her bags! She especially adores our Nightfall Collection, which she has used to design a couple of her bags.

Amanda loves the gold detailing of Nightfall, which makes for a beautiful zippered pouch or wristlet – perfect for dancing the night away! Along with our Nightfall Collection, Amanda has chosen correlating solids that add extra glam to her bags, such as a hot pink trim or ruffles!! One can never go wrong with pink, ruffles…or both ;) We’re also loving these adorable little pouches with our What a Gem Collection!

We want to thank Amanda for the fabric love! We are so thrilled you have used our collections for your bag designs; they are all so glamorous and stylish!! And your shop is so wonderful. Find more from Amanda at her Etsy Shop, as well as on Facebook and Instagram. And with that…have a great weekend, everyone! :)

Time for this week’s What We Love ♥ We cannot believe that we are already halfway into November – another month and a half, and it will be Christmas!! There definitely has been a nip in the air, and we have gotten warnings of flurries coming next week. Yup, we officially cannot deny it any longer…winter is coming. But even so, that does not mean everything has to be cold and dreary. We have been inspired by our new Fresh Solids collection and all of our new, beautiful cotton solids. All the pretty colors have definitely inspired us this week…

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day!! Have you entered our Fresh Solids Giveaway yet? We’d love to know what your favorite Fresh Solid color is. You can enter here if you haven’t! :)

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday!! Today we are featuring one of our lovely project designers, Melissa Stramel of Lilac Lane Patterns! Melissa Stramel is a lover of all things floral! Whether it is tending to her garden, flower arrangement, or creating with floral fabrics, Melissa is always up for the challenge. While staying at home and sewing for her children, Melissa decided to combine her love for fabric & creating patterns by starting a business called Lilac Lane Patterns. After its success, Lilac Lane grew into a store in her hometown of Colby, Kansas called Creations Gallery. A pharmacist by training, Melissa has found the industry that encapsulates her skills and her loves perfectly! Melissa creates and sells her patterns under Lilac Lane, has a blog, and also has published a book! A very busy gal, indeed!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Melissa of Lilac Lane Patterns for a couple of projects for our Free Projects Program. Melissa has such a creative mind, and created some really unique patterns for us. The first project is her Butterfly Quilt, which has a very cool, scrappy look with adorable little “butterflies” in the quilt design. We absolutely adore it with our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection. As well, her genius “The Sky is Falling” Table Runner with our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham Collection is so modern and fun!
