Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! Guess what?! Today is officially…Christmas Eve Eve! Wow, where did the time go! We hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays. Remember that even through the hustle-and-bustle of preparing for the holidays, you take the time to also relax and enjoy the beautiful season. If you still have some last minute preparations to do, we hope today’s blog post will inspire you!

Today is another Moody Monday! We are sharing with you our Paisley Please by Jackie McFee moodboard with you all today. As the name implies, Paisley Please is a stunning collection of paisley prints, florals, stripes, and polka dots in a swirl of purple, orange, and navy hues. It is very modern, yet sophisticated design palette that would be fantastic for any young woman’s home decor or apparel projects! Think duvet covers, curtains, bags, tea dresses, and more in rich orange and violet colors…the possibilities are endless! Take a look at our moodboard below for even more inspiration:

Time for some fashion inspiration! We are feeling inspired by the warm hues in Paisley Please by Jackie McFee, and reminds of a similar color palette found in Rag & Bone’s Fall 2013 RTW collection. Rag & Bone’s collection is a multitude of rich, fall colors that are coordinated in outfits perfectly. We adore the outfits with mixes of purple and orange especially, and it reminds of our Paisley Please color scheme. The collection is cool and relaxed, and correlates in the same youthfulness as Paisley Please. To see the full collection, click here.

We hope we have inspired you with today’s Moody Monday. We will still be posting daily during the holidays, so check back for more tomorrow. Happy Holidays everyone!

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day. It’s exceptionally cold here (brrr…we’re definitely bundled up in layers today!), but it’s so beautiful with the sun shining and snow glistening. Oh, and it’s National Poinsettia Day! “Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.” – Laura Ingalls Wilder

It’s time for a holiday question on the blog! Today’s question is: What is your favorite winter activity? Let us know in the comments below. Mine would be ice skating, and then coming to home a warm fireplace and green tea! Let’s see what our Design Studio team’s favorites are:

MarionTobogganing with kids, followed by hot cocoa.

Valeria: I love walking around Montreal’s Old Port eating cinnamon Queue de castor (Canadian fried dough)!

Juan: Making a gingerbread house with my kids!

Andra: Taking a walk in the evening when the snow is falling and everything looks magical, it’s truly a winter wonderland.

ShannenMy favorite winter activity is not very active. I like anything that keeps me warm and cozy! Think warm, thick socks & sweaters, hot drink in hand & next to the woodstove while spending time with my family.

We’ve got another Thankful Thursday for you, and today we taking the time to thank Ingrid from Freddie’s Friends. Freddie’s Friends is a shop dedicated to sewing patterns, pillows, stuffies, fabric, and more! Ingrid is the pattern designer behind Freddie’s Friends and creates the most adorable, raw-edged stuffed creatures/pillows that are easy to follow and fun to sew. And who exactly is “Freddie”? We love the story behind the name, as “Freddie” is actually one of Ingrid’s many nicknames! :)

We have had the pleasure of working with Ingrid and Freddie’s Friends, as Ingrid has sewn some of Freddie’s Friends for us using our fabric. Some of our favorite are Olive the Owl (we are currently giving away this pattern on our blog!), Lee Lee the Lion, and Becky’s Flower…but they are all super sweet! We adore how cuddly and friendly they are…the perfect snuggle buddy for the little ones in your life. Below are some of ours!

Hi everyone!

Fall Quilt Market was a little whiles away, but we’ve still got the post-QM blues. We had an absolute blast at this year’s Quilt Market in Houston, and got to meet so many fantastic and creative people. Unpacking all our projects, chatting with new contacts, and scrolling through all our photos, we’ve been super inspired and cannot wait to share what’s to come from Camelot Fabrics! Our Quilt Market experience was definitely memorable, and we’re sharing them all with you today! :)

The Camelot Fabrics Booth! #booth1324

This was our stunning booth set-up at Quilt Market! We had all our designers’ collections as different panels with our creative and fun projects for each. As well, we featured some of our licensed fabrics (Star Trek, Star Wars, and Spider-Man), our new barware (more info coming soon!), introduced Jane Farnham (our newest designer), and our new lines. Our booth was vibrant and colorful, and showcased all our pretty fabrics perfectly.

Hi everyone!!

It’s time for another How To’s Day! Halloween is quickly approaching (in 8 days!!), and we wanted to share with you a fun and easy DIY project that you can make in time for the spooky holiday. This DIY project is absolutely delightful and would be the perfect costume for any youngster (but it can be modified for adults too, of course!!).

This DIY Halloween tutorial will show you how to make a fantastic fox hat and tail using our fleece, which is perfect for this costume (psst: our Fleece and Flannel Catalogue will be coming out soon, so be on the look out!). What does the fox say? Who really knows…but if we did, we are sure they would approve of this brilliant DIY costume!

Now take a gander at these dashing foxes below. They are looking pretty adorable in their costumes…all ready to go Trick or Treating!!
