Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday! How is everyone’s day going? The Easter Bunny made a quick visit to the Camelot Design Studio today, so we are all happily working and enjoying our treats! We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter holiday this weekend, wishing you all much happiness, love, and yummy food :)
It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are going to be sharing a very exciting event that took place last week in Kitchener: Scrapfest 2014! This very fun festival brought together lots of crafty and inspiring people. There were informative workshops, engaging make-and-takes, and lots of creativity floating around everywhere!
Westcott was part of a really great Make & Take, lead by Elizabeth Glenday, and we were very honored to be a part of it too! Our Conversation Heart Banner free tutorial was used as the project, and they used our Ad-Fab™ and chalkboard fabric for the banners. We absolutely adore how they made the conversation hearts, but also Easter-inspired with the cute egg banners! It just shows how easily adaptable this project is for all celebrations and holidays.
We adore the “I made it @ Scrapfest 2014” chalkboard fabric speech bubble! Such a cute idea!! The Make & Take looked like it was SO much fun, and we heard that it was a great success. Everyone who came by enjoyed the project and putting their own spin on it! So great to see crafters of all ages having participated too!
We want to say a HUGE thank you to Brenda Greenwood-Vernem from Westcott, Paula Jones from the CHA, and Elizabeth Glenday for allowing Camelot Fabrics to be a part of a great team. We were so happy that our Conversation Hearts Banner & products were much loved at the Scrapfest event! We were super excited to hear everyone was received well and it was a success. If you want to be a part of the next Scrapfest, or for more information, check out the Scrapfest site here. Thank you once again! Have a great day everyone! :)
Happy Sewing!

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic end to the week. Today is the last day of January, and we are now heading into the second month of 2014. It’s going to be the month of hearts, chocolate, and love! We are very excited!! We created a “Love Wall” in the Camelot Design Studio, with sweet notes of what we liked best about one another. It’s a great way to remind each other that they are thought of and everyone’s day becomes a little brighter too!
On to another way we like to spread some love,…it’s time for our weekly Fan Fridays! Today we are taking the time to share a super awesome Etsy shop, Bits O Honey Designs! Monica, the owner of Bits O Honey Designs, creates stunning business card holders, cheque book holders, discreet “time of the month” clutches, and other ‘bits o honey’ using colorful, bright, fun, and modern prints. All of her designs are crafted with love and created for easy-use and organization. Monica loves fun fabric designs, and chose a couple of our collections for her designs that we just had to share!
Monica used our Hot Chocolate by Jackie McFee collection to create this fantastic cheque book holder:
Our Birds of a Feather by Allison Cole collection was used to create this stunning business card holder:
We absolutely adore this idea! It’s a “time of the month” clutch – discreet and stylish. Monica used our Hot Chocolate by Jackie McFee collection:

Hi everyone!
This past week, Camelot Fabrics experienced its first time at the CHA show…and it was absolutely fantastic! We got to meet so many incredible and crafty people, made wonderful connections and friendships, and ultimately had a blast!
At the CHA show, along with our fabric collections, we also showcased our adhesive fabrics & felt designs and the positive feedback from everyone was outstanding. We included a Chalkboard Photobooth, complete with our chalkboard fabric as the backdrop (visitors drew the most awesome pictures on it, so thank you!) and felt props…and it was definitely a hit! We loved seeing everyone having fun with our photobooth, taking the most fantastic pictures.
As well, we included a Make & Take section where people were able to test out our new products, such as creating a quick but stylish coffee cozy! Thank you to everyone who came by and for their positive comments, as well as for all the lovely pictures we were tagged in. Click more to see the rest of our experience!

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a terrific day so far. In heart of the New Year, we especially love our Thankful Thursday segments to take the time to appreciate those who have supported and helped us. We truly have so much to be thankful from 2013, so many thank yous to carry on into 2014. Today we are thanking Julia from the blog, Nugglemama’s Handful.
Nugglemama’s Handful is a parenting and lifestyle blog that focuses on mommy-approved reviews, crafty projects, and great lifestyle tips. Julia created Nugglemama’s Handful with the experience of being a mum to 5, sharing her experiences and tips with other parents. One thing we especially adore about her blog is that she has a dedicated section to all things solely Christmas – Christmas Central. Yes, Christmas has passed, but still…we most definitely approve. Another bonus? Julia is a fellow Canadian too like us!
Julia created this absolutely beautiful wallet with our Birds of a Feather collection. Soso pretty and the ribbon is such a lovely touch. This would make a wonderful gift for any stylish girl you know!
Dipping back into the holidays, Julia created this beautiful yarn wreath using our Design Studio collection we sent to her to make the lovely fabric yo yos. Wreaths have become so much more modern and not only just for the holidays. They also make lovely front door décor for all year round too!
The Design Studio collection yo yos give a wonderfully sophisticated and pretty finish to the DIY wreath, the perfect finishing touch with the pearl centers. Oh my, so lovely! You can check out the full tutorial here. Click to see more after the jump!
