Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a great day. We are getting closer to the holidays, and we are soo excited!! We continued the spirit today by having our gift exchange in the Camelot Design Studio. We also made our very own color-taped Christmas tree to put the presents under – definitely feeling festive here, we’d say! It’s time for this week’s How To’s Day! Just in time for the holiday season, we are sharing our DIY Holiday Cards Tutorial today. We love receiving cards from our loved ones, and handmade ones are just the icing on the cupcake! We love handmade cards because they are more sentimental and personal, and are a way for you to have fun and create.

Our DIY Holiday Cards use our Ad-Fab™ to create decals that jazz up blank greeting cards, and with our Hot Chocolate Ad-Fab™, our cards are fabulously festive! We offer two designs, our Tree & Ornament Card and our Menorah Card, so the choice is yours! Then, add your personality to each card with your own accent designs. DIY HOLIDAY CARDS
A Free Project from Camelot Fabrics
Features: Hot Chocolate Ad-Fab™ Collection AF-HO-CH-01 and AF4140501

SUPPLIES:
– Blank greeting cards, as many as desired
– Paper printer
– Basic craft supplies: Scissors*, Pencil, Pen, Fine-tip Marker (as preferred)
* We favor Westcott’s Titanium Non Stick scissors when working with Ad-Fab™. If you don’t have non-stick scissors, keep a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol handy, and clean your blades with them as needed.

TREE & ORNAMENT CARDS:

1. Print the Holiday Card Templates PDF, and cut out the shapes.
2. Trace the templates onto the back of your Ad-Fab™ and cut out the elements.
3. Peel away the paper backing, and stick the Ad-Fab™ shapes to your cards. You can overlap & combine shapes to create a scene, or draw some extra details around your elements. Here’s what we did:
– Doodled lacy scallops on the boughs of an evergreen;
– Filled out the space above a pair of trees with dotty little snowflakes, and gave them a few wavy lines for snow;
– Sketched a few sprigs of pine needles around our Ad-Fab™ ornaments, and drew a curved hook for each of them.

Note on the ornaments: When used with the large dots print, these templates are designed to fit exactly over a large dot and incorporate a small section of neighbouring dot(s). You may want to trace the templates onto the cotton side of your Ad-Fab™, to make sure the shapes are positioned correctly.

MENORAH CARD

1. Fussy-cut (9) “candles” from the brown ladders print. Choose ones with yellow, orange and dark pink “flames”.
2. Stick the candles to your card in a staggered row as shown, to resemble the shape of a menorah. We find it’s easiest to start with the center candle and work our way outward.
